We’re Fred and Marlun Maestas, longtime Alaskans who have proudly called this beautiful state home since 1975. After decades of enjoying everything the Mat-Su Valley has to offer, we created Eye Love View as a way to share a piece of the Alaska we love with others.
We enjoy gardening (we’re active in three local garden clubs!), hiking, fishing, attending local plays, concerts, and volunteering in our community. Hosting gives us a chance to meet people from all over the world while offering a peaceful, private space where guests can truly relax and take in the incredible views that made us fall in love with this spot.
While we’re happy to offer local tips and recommendations, we also respect our guests’ privacy. Whether you’re here to explore, reconnect with nature, or just unwind, we hope Eye Love View becomes your personal retreat—and a place you’ll want to return to again.

We chose this neighborhood because it offers the best of both worlds: breathtaking natural beauty and the convenience of nearby amenities. Perched on a quiet bluff just outside Wasilla, our property offers panoramic views of the Chugach Mountains and three peaceful lakes—yet we’re only minutes from restaurants, grocery stores, hospitals, and local events.
We love how peaceful and private it feels here. From the moment you arrive, you’re surrounded by nature—moose and birds often wander by, and on clear nights you might catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights dancing across the sky. We especially enjoy the seasonal changes: vibrant gardens and berry picking in summer, crisp hikes and snowmachining in winter, and colorful skies all year long.
It’s a special place where you can truly slow down and take it all in—and we’re grateful to share it with guests who are looking for a unique and restful Alaska experience.
