2 bed Log Cabin, w/2 Jacuzzi, 1 mi to SDC, pool, nature trails, private lake

It is always a surprise when a guest says "Everything was great and very convenient" and then gives a 4 star review. I guess we could cut down some trees but you would just see more trees. Not sure how to respond to the problem with trees blocking the view. I went back through the ad and I don't find anyplace where it says "private pond'. It does say there is a 5 acre lake on the property. The pictures make it obvious that the property is at a resort so you assume it is for everyone at the resort. We also make it clear that it is a difficult trail to the lake. The ad says "We have a 5 Acre Lake you can Fish without a license. The hike to the lake is steep and we do not recommend it if you have any physical problems". I don't know a better way to describe it. If you don't like trees and you expect an easy trail to the lake this cabin is not for you.

Very interesting review: Not sure about the soap in one bathroom. We furnish soap in both bathrooms as well as hand soap, and dish soap in the kitchen. We also furnish a large container of laundry soap so it is possible the housekeeper missed one of the bathrooms. This guest is likely referring to the gap between the fridge and the counter which we do not expect the housekeeper to pull out the fridge to clean that every time. We have been renting for 25 years and before we were able to limit the temperature setting to 70 some of our guests would turn the setting down in the 60s which would result in a freeze up and a service call. We no longer have service calls. We realize that some guests like to have it really cold and then cover up so if you need the temp below 70 you may not want to rent our place. We have 6 ceiling fans and some additional floor fans. We will replace the screen on the deck sometime in the distant future but for now a piece of clear tape seems to work fine. The cabinet by the fireplace is a great addition to the comfort and convenience of our guests. We have limited counter space so we have a cabinet to store: coffee maker, with coffee, filters, creamer, crock pot, toaster, blender, mixer, keurig, and k-cups. The creamer is not old. We buy in bulk and put in tupperware containers and distribute to all our places. Most owners do not furnish all these amenities. Hopefully this guest will find a more suitable place on their next trip.
