The house is a family owned property, located on one of the safest and private beaches of El Salvador's coastline. The property is located on a cliff top with an amazing ocean view. It is a gated community with 24 hour security. Only 40 minutes from El Salvador's International airport and 30 minutes away from the city of San Salvador.
The house has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, two living areas, dining room, fully equipped kitchen, bar with stools, outside pool, jacuzzi, balconies, gazebo with hammocks, full barbecue area, parking garage and a beautiful surrounding garden.

Nice days in El Salvador

Very nice place I recommend it ,the only thing is for finding the pace I got hard time. Wasn’t to indicate in the site .

This house is amazing! Very safe and clean. Don Ricardo the grounds keeper was so nice and helped out whenever we needed anything. Close to el Tunco. Sandra helped when I needed her!

Great place, amazing views, and great housekeepers

The home was amazing and the views breathtaking. Ricardo was our housekeeper and very attentive and informative with our needs and questions. The pool was well maintained as well as the jacuzzi. At the time of our visit, parts needed for the jets in the jacuzzi had yet to arrive and we could not benefit from its full use. This was minor and did not affect our stay. I highly recommend this place as it is very close to the el tunco beach area and provides breathtaking photos perfect for any photographer or social media user! We will definitely be returning next year:)

Beautiful and safe beach home in Xanadu, La Libertad

We have stayed in many beach houses along El Salvador's coast from Usulután to Sonsonate and this by far has been the best one so far. Xanadu is a private community of vacation homes with controlled access through it's main gate and located about 10 minutes outside the port city La Libertad. The house sits atop a high cliff with stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. Ricardo is the property manager and takes care of all the pool and yard maintenance during your stay. He offered to run simple errands for us which we didn't need although he did cut down some fresh coconuts out of one of the trees or just a few dollars. All bedrooms had air conditioning and most rooms had a combination of a king size bed and bunk beds to accommodate up to 15 guests. The house has it's own pool and just down the hill it also has access to the community pool as well as private beach access. The waves are a little strong but the area is known for it's great surfing waves. Just down the road heading back to La Libertad you will find many great restaurants and El Salvador's very first microbrewery...El Cadejo. Another three minutes down the road you run into the up and coming surfing town called El Tunco which is known for it's surfing, great restaurants, nightlife on the weekends, foreigners, and terrific sunsets. And last but not least La Libertad...the smelly and busy port city where you will need to buy your groceries and get gas before you head back to Playa Xanadu. We enjoyed Xanadu for it's safety and proximity to all the fun locations of La Libertad. The house is truly stunning and we wouldn't hesitate to rent here again.

AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL, BREATHTAKING

From the moment you enter the home you are welcomed by the astonishing ocean views. We were a family of 6 adults and 2 children with sufficient space for more. Gated, secure, clean, local to El Tunco by car, & a private beach at a short walking distance. The owner answered all our questions and welcomed us with fresh cut limes from their property. They offered to install a new poolside basketball hoop which our kids enjoyed. Our stay was extra special by having Ana cook and clean for us (additional fee). I can’t praise the owners enough for the wonderful experience and the great memories we have created. Thank you to Don Ricardo the caretaker who was always willing to help us with anything we needed. He kept the pool clean every morning and made sure we were taken care of. Thank you Sandra for sharing your beautiful and amazing home with us. We hope to come back soon!

Amazing!

This property is just how it is described if not better! The views are spectacular. Ana and Ricardo were so nice and there to help us with anything we needed. I would definitely recommend a stay at this amazing property and will be returning!

BEAUTIFUL PROPERTY WITH ASTONISHING VIEWS

Very accommodating, clean, equipped and furnished property to have a very comfortable stay including adults and children. For an extra fee, you get a remarkable cooker and help with the cleaning inside the house. The property caretaker also was very helpful with the BBQ and keep the pools, gardens and the palapa ranch with hammocks outside the house in perfect conditions. The property has also a convenient location close to beach clubs, restaurants and night life (El Tunco) in La Libertad. In short, my party and I had a very pleasant and relaxing weekend that will be in our memories for a long time. Thanks to HomeAway where I found this property and their owners that allowed us to rent it and made this experience happen.

Absolutely amazing. A true quiet, safe, and tranquil paradise with unbelievable views

We truly had an amazing time. From the moment we arrived, we were stunned by the unbelievable ocean views from every angle of the property. The gardens,hammocks, beach, pool and jacuzzy. I would highly recommend. Thank you.

Simply AMAZING!

I spent two weeks in this house with family and friends and we all agree that the house, the pool, the grounds, and the beach resulted in one of the most relaxing vacations we have ever had with some of the most spectacular sunsets we have ever witnessed. Ricardo, the grounds keeper, was responsive to our every need including preparing the BBQ anytime we asked and keeping us supplied in fresh coconut water and the owners were always happy to answer any questions that we had. On the practical side, the house has AC in each of the bedrooms which is very welcome after a day in the sun. The living room basically blends with the patio to create the feeling of one large room. There is ample space for a little privacy if you are in a group with chairs and tables throughout the property were you can relax, read a book or catch some sun. The kitchen is fully functional and well supplied with dishes and cookware as well as appliances. We shopped at the local supermarket and prepared most of our meals at the house. The pool is well maintained, cleaned each morning by the grounds keeper and is a welcome amenity in the afternoon heat. The jacuzzi offers some of the better views and is also well maintained. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with flowers, palm trees, Royal Poinciana trees, and a lot of green grass. The whole setting feels like a resort that you have all to yourself. The beach is a short walk down the hill and has good surf if you want to play in the water. There are showers just off the beach and also a community pool that is available for use. Playa Tunco is a short hop (less than a few miles) if you want to surf or grab lunch and there are several good restaurants in area (Beto's and Cafe Sunzal were both great). Lastly, if you stay at this house, ask Ricardo to turn off all of the lights at night and you will have a stunning view of the Milky Way. As you can see, I'm not a flowery writer and when I write a review I tend to focus on the practical, but this house and the two weeks I spent there were amazing. I would highly recommend this property to anyone that wants to get away and just RELAX.

The absolute BEST beachhouse in El Salvador

This property came very highly recommended from work colleagues in the El Salvadoran diplomatic community and it did not disappoint! My wife and I invited a number of friends to stay at the house with us for a three-day weekend in early January 2015. Our days were spent lounging around the pool, relaxing and reading in the shady cliff-side hammocks, and down on the private beach. Each morning we woke up to breakfast and coffee ready to go for all the guests thanks to the great help of the property's housekeeper. Both evenings we cooked up freshly caught fish and shrimp on the grill and then enjoyed watching amazing sun sets over the pacific ocean from the (other) (yes, there are two pools) infinity pool. I really can't say enough positive things about this property. It was a wonderful experience. We will definitely stay here again!

What an amazing property!!

What a wonderful experience our group had at this property. The cook, maid, and ground keeper are amazing and the views are exceptional. My only regrets in writing this review is it might bring more people to the house and make my next trip date unavailable. Thanks for everything!

priceless location

To tell you the truth I have no words to describe the best four days we spent at this amazing place with my family. The best views and the best waves and the most espectacular house. I will recommend it to anybody who loves the relaxing life of the ocean. A dream come true for surfers and their families. Best Vacation of my Life

I would have given this 6 stars if it was an option. I just got home from a week vacation at this property and I can say that it was the best vacation of my life. The house, pool, caretakers (Ricardo and Juana), the location, and the view are the absolute best in El Salvador. As you can see from the other reviews, there is not a bad thing you can say about this place. I will am already booking my stay for next year!

Truly Breathtaking Views

Amazing house, quiet surroundings and a fabulous view to the Pacific Ocean, what a great location! The breezes always made it wonderfully comfortable, even during the the hottest parts of the day. The house was very clean, comfortable and relaxing; maybe the most important aspect is the safety of the property as well as the gated community. we have been to Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and they all have beautiful Pacific Ocean beaches, but let me tell you that the Salvadorean coast is incredible. We were amazed on how many coconut trees the property had, the caretaker always offered us coconut water and we enjoyed it. No words for the relaxing time in that awesome jacuzzi, hanging in the cliffs of the property, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Definitely coming back, owners were easy and nice to deal with. The location is stunning!

This property has always been owned by a Salvadorean family. Jaime and Sandra are the formal owners of the property. Jaime spent his high school years in the state of Connecticut and came back to his country to run family business. He got married and together with Sandra remodeled the house in 1997 and since then they have been enjoying their beach house with their three boys.
