Before buying it, I was looking for a place in the downtown area with a view of the Parthenon, but wanted to avoid areas that are mostly for tourists, like Plaka, Koukaki, and Monastiraki. I also wanted to have easy access to the highway. This flat met all conditions. I loved the location, the angle of the view of the Parthenon and the bird's eye view of the eastern part of central Athens.
The Scene
The flat is on the sixth floor of a building on a small hill, which gives it a higher view than many other buildings in Athens. The neighborhood is lively and has a lot of character, with a mix of local cafes, shops, and cultural spots. I like that everything is within walking distance—whether you need a coffee, want to visit a local art gallery, or enjoy a meal at one of the many good restaurants.

The neighborhood has a good balance of quiet and lively spots, making it great for both relaxing and exploring.
