Nice house that provided a very pleasant stay. The owner took good care of us. The decor (very victorian) was not my style, but wont count against for that. Close enough to the major ski resorts, but beware of traffic early in the morning. Not much to do in Silver Plume, but you are close enough to the resorts.

Little Cottage in Silver Plume
We had such a wonderful time! Julia's Victorian Cottage was perfect for our family of 4.
The house was very clean. All beds were wonderful and comfortable. The bathroom with a claw footed tub and a beautiful vanity was great. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Thank you for the breakfast basket: we arrived very late in the night and it was great to have some coffee in the morning by the creek. We loved the location: an easy access to I-70 and only 2 miles to Georgetown.

Great stay, excellent host
What a wonderful week long! The cottage is setting right next to the water, the town of Silver Plume and scenery - great stay! We fell in love with it immediately... Everything you need was provided at the cottage. The bathroom was fabulous with a claw footed tub! The cottage was a perfect and relaxing get away and the surroundings were breathtaking. We loved the town of Silver Plume that is full of history as well There are a lot of charming original Victorian houses remaining! The downtown was so historic and fun to go through. We hiked to the very top and enjoyed a beautiful panorama of the mountains and the town of Silver Plume below.! Don't forget to do the Georgetown Loop as well as the Guanella Pass! Well worth it! We loved every minute and hated to leave! Thank you for providing such a wonderful hospitality.

Love the Look!
Well, my title should be that I that I love it all! The look especially, with the old timey couches and other décor, it's very pretty. The beds are comfy and the TV has a reserve of DVDs to watch and DirecTV is also available. The town has an atmosphere that you can't beat. It's nice and quiet and there is lots of wildlife to see, especially birds and small mammals. This house is also historic, as it was built in 1875 and the town is home to many myths and legends about the Colorado Gold Rush. For an experience you won't forget, I would highly recommend going to this house to get all your vacation needs. As for attractions it has several resorts near by and Rafting and zip lining companies near too. You can also hike the mountains near by and see some animals, cool stones, and the amazing view! There is also a creek right by the house and creates nice scenery for any occasion. For eats, there are plenty of places near by, like in Georgetown and such. Overall it was a very pleasant and I would highly recommend this for many people as it is a nice place to stay and can help you do a lot of things with your vacation.

Easy Access
We rented this cottage for a weeks stay for riding our motorcycle in the mountains. The area had great access to I-70 which is directly across the street. At night you could hear all the big trucks on the interstate. The cottage had a small sofa in the living room which was very uncomfortable and the tv is too high on the wall which hurts your neck. The bed in the back bedroom had a valley in the middle of the mattress, it did not seem like a new mattress. The front door to the home had a horrible door knob and lock which was a hazard to living inside. The internet did work well and direct tv had decent channels. The lighting was dim and the decor was outdated. The washer and dryer worked well. We liked the easy on and off for i-10 but didn't like the noise. Over all our stay was good. The owner never called or emailed to see if everything was ok at the house or with our stay there.

It is an old review. We have a different property in Idaho Springs now with better furniture and amenities.

Our family loves the Colorado Rocky Mountains and all activities they can offer: skiing, snowboarding, biking, taking trails, fishing, and white water rafting. We love Colorado's history (especially the Colorado Gold Rush period), small historic mining towns, beautiful nature, and abundant watchable wildlife.
Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade
Our family always wanted to have a small house nearby a ski resort. The Idaho Springs house happens to be a great location. A lot of historic sites around and small old mining towns with gorgeous Victorian architecture, museums, restaurants, antique shops, beautiful lakes, trails, etc. Only 15 miles to Loveland Ski Resort, close to other famous places such as Silverthorne, Breckenridge, Vail...
