Courtyard and views of Black Rock - Newly remodeled

Unit 556 at the Whaler is a one-bedroom, one-bath. Sitting in the best location on Maui’s prestigious Kaanapali Beach, this luxurious courtyard facing condominium has breathtaking ocean and island views.

Relax on the spacious private lanai while looking out over the white sandy beach toward the island of Molokai and Black Rock. The bedroom contains two double beds. In addition, there is a queen-size Murphy bed in the living room, allowing 4 people to sleep comfortably. The bathroom has a combination tub/shower. There is a fully equipped kitchen, complete with all cookware.

Experience resort living in paradise. The Whaler condominium is steps away from the beach and ocean, Whalers Village shops, award winning restaurants, and the famous Royal Kaanapali golf courses. It's the best place on earth. Come and be our guest-you will love it here!

The Whaler charges a resort fee of $31 per day. The guest is responsible to pay this fee. It is paid directly to the Whaler upon check-out. This fee includes parking, wifi, beach towels, beach chairs, free washer/dryer, tennis courts, gym and all other whaler amenities.
The resort fee will be increasing to $33 on April 1, 2024, and Increasing to $35 on April 1, 2025.

The BEST

I have stayed at the Whaler many times, but this unit was the best yet!! It has everything you need from cooking equipment to boogie boards, beach chairs and an umbrella. Absolutely perfect!!Mahalo for everything!!

Another amazing week in paradise

We love staying at the Whaler and this unit in particular. The unit is very comfortable, clean, and beautifully decorated, and has everything we need. A beautiful beach and relaxing pool are steps away, as well as shops and restaurants. Black Rock, an amazing snorkeling area, is a short walk away. And the view from the lanai is spectacular! We will be back!

Beautiful place

We loved our stay here! Every aspect exceeded our expectations. The apartment was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. The view from the rooms and balcony were exquisite, we loved being able to see the ocean on one side and mountain on the other. The area of the beach is great, huge plus that there are chairs and an umbrella for use free of charge. The pool was great as well, the water temperature was nice and warm. Would definitely stay again!

Awesome Condo!

This condo was completely as described! Although we only cooked breakfast and lunch, the kitchen had everything you needed. View was amazing. Owner was very responsive and accommodating! We have rented 4 condos at the Whaler and this one is our favorite!! I can’t say enough positive things about the condo and the owner!!

Home away from home

We have been bringing our family to the whaler for the last 10 years and this was by far our favorite rental. The layout was perfect for a family. It was well stocked with toiletries, kitchen needs, and beach supplies. It had so many sleeping options and was very quiet. Our favorite thing about this condo was that it told a story about their family and them growing up at the whaler which is what we are doing with our kids. Couldn’t have been happier during our stay!

Another Perfect Stay

We have stayed numerous times at the Whaler over the years. We love that every unit has an ocean view, the beach is perfect, and there are wonderful restaurants and shops within walking distance. This unit was ideal - clean, updated, fully stocked kitchen, beach supplies...all with a gorgeous view of Black Rock and the ocean. It stays cooler (shady) on this side of the Tower 2, but it was nice to have the option to use the A/C if it was too hot. Our adult kids slept on the Murphy bed in the living room and were very comfortable.

76th birthday trip for my Mama

Everything in our condo was perfect for four ladies, two of which were over 75 and had walkers. The lanai was wonderful and Laura was extremely helpful with all accommodations and responded quickly when I had questions. The binoculars were very much appreciated. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect unit and i fact, booked it again for next year.

Another great stay at The Whaler. Laura was wonderful to work with and her attention to detail is second to none. Her place was well stocked with everything you need expect for one item, a pizza slicer. Laura I was going to buy one before we left however I couldn’t find a store in Whalers Village that had one. We will book Laura’s condo again and again. Cheers

Wonderful

This was our second stay at the Whaler but the first time we stayed in room 556. The room was excellent. The couch was comfortable and had a beautiful of the ocean and the black rock area. The beds in the bedroom and the murphy bed in the living room were all great. The unit does have a keurig, used it every day. The location is awesome, Whaler's Village is right next door for anything you need. The walkway is right in front which makes walking easy. We will definitely stay in this unit again.

The best!

Our family has stayed at The Whaler numerous times. It truly is the perfect location, view, easy access to the main reason you go (the beach and sun!). We have rented from Laura twice in the past year and a half. She always responds very quickly to any inquiries I have. She has worked to accommodate our needs and has gone above and beyond as a property host. Even communications with her house-keeper Mary has been pleasant and helpful. I would recommend either of Laura’s condos without any hesitation. They are well stocked, beautifully furnished, clean, and have amazing views! We love her units because they have a Murphy bed in the main living area that work very well for our family of 4 (two teenagers). When you arrive at the resort and walk into your condo for the first time-you’ll be amazed at how it’s even better than the pictures show. The entire Whaler resort is meticulously maintained and is beautiful. Thank you, Laura, for another opportunity to spend quality time with my family in your beautiful condo in one of our favorite places on the planet. Maui is a dream!

Wonderful view and amenities

What a great surprise when we walked into our vacation retreat. The rooms were immaculate and all the accoutrements needed were available. The checkout time was earlier than advertised— not the owners issue but the resort. They hot tub was inhabited by way too many little kids. The attendant did nothing to resolve this and we found other ways to enjoy the beautiful weather and amenities.

Outstanding!

The view, the condo, the location, everything about this place was amazing! It had all the comforts of home BUT you’re in Maui AND right on the ocean. We watched the Black Rock diver from our lanai. I could even see him from the dining room table. Since we’ve seen most of the sights, we didn’t drive much and fortunately there is plenty to do within walking distance with shops and restaurants and of course an ABC store. Every part of the condo looked at Black Rock and the ocean. We couldn’t have been more pleased and we already booked for next year!

Great setup and location for our family

We love staying at The Whaler and this unit has been out family’s favorite. We’ve already booked for next summer. The condo is super clean. The kitchen is new and well-stocked. The bedroom has two full beds and the den has a queen Murphy bed, which was a super comfortable bed setup for our family of four. I like how the unit isn’t too low or too high in the condo. Floor 5 is just right. The only thing missing from this condo is a washer/dryer in unit. We had to use the community washers, which weren’t always available, so we had to run to other floors on occasion. As for The Whaler, it’s my favorite resort in the Ka’anapali area. It’s close to Whaler’s Village for food/shops. It’s close to black rock for snorkeling … although, the beach in front of The Whaler has decent snorkeling there, too. It has an enjoyable/quiet pool - it won’t compete with the big hotel pools, but it does the job for our family. They have towel service - four towel cards for our family of four. They have beach chairs. They used to let you feed the Koi, but that has recently stopped. Maybe they’ll restart at some point?

Incredible Stay for Family with young kids

THANK YOU for sharing your property with our family! Previously we have stayed at the Westin and Marriott (pre-kids). We wanted something more than a hotel room while bringing our kids for the first time (4 years and 10 months). We are so happy we took the chance on VRBO! The Whaler is a hidden gem, so close to our very favorite Black Rock beach. The condo is so very well appointed! We had everything we needed to make pancakes for the kids, have beach chairs/ umbrella and toys for the day, and there was even a stool so my 4 year old could reach the sink to brush his teeth! EVERYTHING was thought of in this property. The view was also incredible and we enjoyed having dinner on the lanai. We were so blown away by the beautiful and well kept property, ease of the front desk, proximity to all of our favorite restaurants. We had the best week and truly thank you for sharing your property with us. We loved it so much we hope to be owners one day too :) A well spent trip all the way from the East Coast!
