The chef's kitchen with Bosch appliances and copper sinks features Bosch appliances and copper sinks. The private balcony delivers panoramic views of Peak 8 and the surrounding peaks. The great room has a gas fireplace and premium furnishings throughout.
One Ski Hill Place is the premier ski-in/ski-out address in Breckenridge, Colorado: heated indoor-outdoor pool, full-service spa, bowling alley, movie theater, concierge shuttle, and ski-in/ski-out access to Peak 8. Entry is via keypad with your code provided through the Gilson guest portal before arrival. A brief identity verification through the portal is required before check-in.

The condo was complete with everything one would need for the week. The ski check was fantastic. Our family enjoyed all the amenities. A great place to stay!

We had a mixed experience staying at this property, and there are a few important issues future guests should be aware of.The listing advertised “2 Reserved Heated Garage Spaces,” however upon arrival we were informed that only one vehicle is allowed in the garage.There were also unexpected additional charges at check-in. We were required to pay two separate deposits — one at booking and an additional deposit in order to receive the keys. These fees were not clearly disclosed upfront in the listing. When we contacted VRBO, they confirmed that all required fees should be disclosed at booking, and this situation did not align with their policy. While the deposit was eventually refunded, it created unnecessary stress and confusion at check-in.The check-in process was also impacted by a timed lockbox, so coordinating arrival time is important. The host did offer a one-hour early check-in and late check-out, which was appreciated.Inside the unit, there were a few maintenance and comfort issues:The stove was missing a knob (reported and not charged)The ice dispenser was overly aggressive and made a mess immediatelyPillows were very flat and uncomfortableOnly two bathrobes were provided for a group of 4On the positive side, the unit itself was clean, and the host did not attempt to charge us for the maintenance issue.Overall, the location is excellent, but inaccurate listing details and requirement to pay multiple deposits made this stay more stressful than expected.

A few clarifications for future guests:
• Parking: The reservation includes one reserved heated garage space, and this was communicated prior to check-in so expectations were clear before arrival. Additional parking, when available, is managed separately by the building/resort and cannot be guaranteed.
• Deposits / “additional charges”: We do not add surprise fees at check-in. For contactless check-in, we require a card on file for a refundable incidentals authorization, similar to a hotel. This is not an extra fee, and it is released after checkout, assuming no damage or missing items (release timing depends on the bank).
• Comfort items: We’ve already upgraded the pillows. We also provide a standard set of robes, and additional robes can be provided upon request when needed (subject to availability).
• Maintenance notes: We appreciate the specifics. The missing stove knob was replaced, and the ice dispenser issue has been addressed.
We appreciate the feedback and will continue tightening listing clarity and pre-arrival communication so guests can book confidently and arrive with the right expectations.
