We had an amazing stay! The house was absolutely perfect for multiple families - plenty of space, well laid out and comfortable for everyone. It truly had everything we needed, which made our trip easy and enjoyable. The hosts were wonderful to work with and very easy to communicate with. We would absolutely recommend this home to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Wintergreen. We’d love to come back!

Perfect place to stay!

Our family stayed here to attend a wedding at a nearby location. This house had all we needed for the weekend. Perfect place to gather and lay our heads at night. Backyard is peaceful and love the open layout on the main floor.

This is the second time we've rented this house. The owners are so kind and dont leave out one detail! They are great with communicating everything we needed to know! The house is absolutely beautiful with quality beds, bedding and bath linens. The kitchen is equipped better than any rental we've ever used. We were able to cook multiple meals for 14 adults with no trouble at all. Plenty of quality pots&pans, cutting boards, mixing bowls, various cooking utensils etc. There is also a huge supply of beautiful dinnerware. If I have my way, we will rent this same home every year for our family ski trip! Thank you so much Marguerite and Jon!!

Don't miss this gorgeous stay!

Our group had an incredible stay at this property. Beautiful views, a cozy comfy atmosphere in the house, and a fantastic fully stocked kitchen made this the perfect place for our weekend getaway. The property owner, John, is fantastic to work with and so responsive. I would recommend to all, and look forward to returning. Thanks John

Great location

House was huge and reasonably clean, but shoowing its age. Mountain creek in back yard for kids to play in. Many long hiking trails accessable directly from back yard, no driving required. Located on a short, quiet side street suitable for stroollers.

Crazy Crafty Chicks Retreat

We had a group of nine wonderful ladies get together. Accommodations were perfect. We had plenty of space to enjoy ourselves. We talked, laughed and even crafted. Could not ask for better property host! Highly recommend!!!

This is the 2nd time I've stayed at this property and I have no complaints whatsoever. It is so clean and comfortable. The kitchen is so well stocked with just about anything you would need to cook with. The owners are so kind and easy to contact and strive to make their mountain home a wonderful get away "home" to their guests. It is located in a beautiful setting with the Old Appalachian Trail right behind the property, which connects with the current AT. The beds are all so comfortable! I love having a wood burning fireplace to and this house has 3! I very highly recommend John and Marguerite's home in a mountain hollow in Wintergreen!

Spacious Mountain home nicely decorated

We had a wonderful family vacation. The house was clean and spacious. The kids loved the Zipline and swing and slide out in back of property. Shamokin Nature trail near property and Old applachian trail. Plenty of things to do in the area. Beds were comfortable. We enjoyed playing pool too.The Owners very nice to work with and easy to get in touch with. They just purchased this recently and are still doing upgrades. I would recommend this property.

Our group had an amazing stay at this home. The house was fully equipped to support our group of 12. The house was clean and cozy and included a beautiful backyard view from the balcony. When we weren't out enjoying hikes or trails recommended by John's guides and resources, we found ourselves cooking a meal in the kitchen, playing games in the dinning room, watching movies in the living rooms, or enjoying the vast and gorgeous backyard. John has helped us with questions about our trip for the past 6 months and has been extremely helpful and responsive. He truly cares about his guests and wants them to have memorable vacation. We will definitely be planning to book with John again in the future. Thank you John!

Wonderful Hosts and Excellent Home

We stayed at this home with some extra family members in order to see our daughter’s graduation. The house was great, roomy and came with a well stocked kitchen. It felt like being at home, we needed to bring nothing extra except our food. Our kids really enjoyed hopping on the walking trail right out of the back door. They explored and found a waterfall! Everyone in our group raved at how nice the house was and the private feel. We would definitely book here again! And the community the home is in is very nice. While you feel very remote, they have a gas station within as well as a convenience store. By far this home has been one of our favorite places we’ve booked! Lovely hosts with excellent communication-you can’t go wrong booking here!

Girl's weekend in the mountains

This house more than met our exceptions! It is a beautiful property in an exceptional, wooded setting with bubbling mountain streams behind the house. You can hear them from the deck and there aren't many more peaceful sounds than the natural sounds of nature. The old Appalachian Trail is out back on the other side of the streams, which are really fun and easy to cross. You run into the current AT and can hike on that for as long or as short a hike as you want. The house itself is just beautiful, with an incredibly well stocked kitchen, all beds are very comfortable, and the layout is great! I would stay here over and over! The hosts are great and very easy to contact with any problems you might have, but my guess is you won't find any. We sure didn't. I highly recommend staying in this great house and give it a 5 star rating.

Wintergreen Wonder-ful Weekend

From the moment I stepped into this spacious, yet cozy property I knew it was going to be a wonderful weekend. I had arranged this weekend to celebrate a soon to be “mother of the bride” and mutual friends. The home was absolutely immaculate! No musty mountain smell that I have experienced in other homes located among the trees. Furnishings were updated and comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked with lots of dish-ware, cookware, and utensils. The linens and towels are hotel quality. Such a pleasant surprise from other VRBO’s I have stayed at. The beds were very comfortable. Everyone said they had a great night’s sleep. The hosts have also added nice touches like soft bath mats in front of bathroom sinks as well as lightly scented diffusers. The location was wonderful for hiking! Right behind the house, across a small stream, is part of the “Old Appalachian Trail”. We also visited nearby wineries and had a fantastic time.The owners of this VRBO have paid attention to every detail that makes a vacation extra special. I would definitely book this home again.
