Capital City Retreat is a newly renovated 1940`s brick bungalow located in the historic Elmwood Estates neighborhood in the heart of Columbia. This home sits in a prime location less than 2 miles from the University of South Carolina, the Vista, 5 Points, and Downtown Columbia. Guests can enjoy walking to local coffee or wine shops, visiting Elmwood Park, or just taking in the historic and unique architecture that makes this neighborhood such special part of the capital city. There is always something to do and its just a short drive to Riverbanks Zoo, Segra Park, Township Auditorium, and all of the Gamecocks sporting arenas!
The home has enough space for two vehicles in the driveway and there is free street parking but street parking is first come first serve. Guests are greeted by a newly landscaped yard and a charming entrance which leads to the living room. Off of the living room sits a fully stocked kitchen and breakfast nook with seating for four.
This home has 3 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. The master bedroom sits in the back of the home with large windows overlooking the sunroom. The two guest bedrooms sit adjacent to each other and share the half bathroom in a Jack and Jill style layout. The main bathroom is a shared bathroom off of the hallway and also has a full size washer/dryer set.
Leading into the sunroom, guests will pass through the game room which offers up nostalgic games such as golden tee, shuffleboard, and foosball. There is also a dedicated work space with a desk and lamp.
The completely renovated sunroom is the star of the show overlooking the newly landscaped back yard with a firepit surrounded by a modern privacy fence. There is a relaxing seating area as well as a dining table with seating for 6. The sunroom does have a separate heating/cooling system from the home so this space can be enjoyed year-round.
The back yard offers up additional outdoor seating and landscape lighting plus some outdoor games such as cornhole. There is a three burner gas grill as well.
Long term stays available upon request.

All guests must sign a rental contract prior to staying in the home.
Age Requirements: You must be 25 years or older to book the home.
No Smoking: This is a smoke-free home. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in a $500 fee for additional cleaning and other related costs, in addition to the Guest being responsible for any damages attributable to smoking beyond said fee.
No Pets: Unfortunately pets are not allowed at this home. Any unauthorized pets may be subject to a fine.
Noise: We do not allow parties or large gatherings. Please be considerate of your neighbors and mindful of noise levels. Noise violations may result in fines. Quiet hours are from 10:00pm-7:00am
