This unique home is partially underground and surrounded by a forest and a large pond. Because of its natural setting, you will likely encounter various insects and wildlife. Despite regular pest control efforts, it’s not always possible to keep the indoor areas completely free of spiders, ants, or flies. The property features a long, private driveway draped with beautiful trees, creating a canopy that says, “Welcome to the Garden of Eden.” You’ll feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere, even though you’re just a short drive from Chicago and Milwaukee.

The 3.5-acre spring-fed lake is stocked with various fish for catch and release, making it perfect for everyone—whether your child or grandchild is catching their first fish or you're a seasoned angler, you’re guaranteed a great time.

We have canoes, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and many more water toys to enjoy during the warmer months. Keep an eye out for the family of beavers living on the island!

The sandy beach is ideal for both kids and adults. Many toys for kids and floaties will be provided. Enjoy evenings around the fire pits where you can eat and sing while gazing up at the northern sky.

**Now, let’s talk about the house:** It was one of the most viral homes ever featured on Zillow and has been showcased in numerous TV shows and media outlets.

The great room will transport you into another dimension. You might feel like you’re visiting your favorite Rainforest Cafe, entering a scene from Jumanji, or revisiting your childhood memories of the Flintstones.

Whatever the case may be, any stress from the outside world will melt away in the warmth of the sun streaming through the 20-foot south-facing windows and skylights. Enjoy watching the koi fish swim in the ponds, spending time under the banana trees, or googling the various live plants—this is truly a special place.

Right off the great room is the most unique indoor pool you will ever experience. With a depth of around 5 feet, this pool is perfect for kids and adults alike, offering hours of fun regardless of the weather. We maintain the pool temperature between 78-82 degrees.

After all that play, you’ll probably be ready to eat. Our fully stocked kitchen is equipped to meet all your culinary needs, whether you’re preparing a gourmet meal or just cooking frozen pizzas. With seating for 16 around the dining room and kitchen, you can enjoy great conversations and plenty of laughter.

Be sure to admire the 16 handcrafted custom butterfly chairs—they are truly one of a kind. Right off the kitchen/dining area, there is a first-floor bedroom with an en-suite bathroom for those who want to be close to the food or may have mobility issues.

There are four separate staircases leading to the second level, where you will find five bedrooms, each one more unique than the last. We use high-end boutique hotel linens and pillows in every bedroom, ensuring a peaceful night’s rest.

Upstairs, there is a TV room where you can catch your favorite movie or cheer on your sports team with a complimentary YouTube TV subscription. Additionally, there is an epic game room filled with various games for you to compete against friends and family.

The game and TV room includes a kitchenette for snacks, as well as an authentic vintage popcorn maker with all the fixings to create a true movie theater experience. If you enjoy card and board games, we have over 50 games to choose from.

Every inch of these 17 acres and 6,000 square feet is designed to create fun and special memories. After the challenges of the pandemic, we can all agree that the memories created with friends and loved ones are among life’s greatest joys and blessings—more valuable than any amount of money.

There’s a Costco, Target, Walmart, and many other grocery stores within a 7-minute drive of our home.

With a property of this size and magnitude, it’s an ongoing process, and we will continue to evolve and improve it over time based on our guests' feedback.

Please note that due to the custom design of this home, there are many uneven and hard surfaces where you could land if you trip and fall. The pool is not your typical standard pool, and the surrounding pool deck can become slippery when wet.
