Starfish Cottage - Crantock Beach North Cornwall sleeps 8, parking for 2 cars

Starfish Cottage is in the village of Crantock on the north coast of Cornwall, about 3 miles from Newquay. The cottage is arranged over three floors to provide spacious accommodation for up to 8 people. The cottage has a master ensuite bedroom, a studio ensuite bedroom with balcony (this is an attic room with steep staircase), twin bedded room and 1 bunkbed bedroom and sleeps 8. There are three bathrooms one with a separate shower and a bath and the other 2 are showerrooms. The living room has an open fire, Smart freeview TV and 3 sofas, the dining room has a large table with 8 chairs. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine and enough crockery, cutlery and cookware for 8 people. There is a private patio and garden for bbqs with hot outdoor shower for when you come off the beach. The cottage is fully equipped with everything you need for a self catered holiday. Crantock Beach is good for surfing with RNLI 10am - 6pm in season with 3 family friendly pubs, Crantock Bay Spa with tennis court, Treago Farm tea room, Jam Jar pizza cafe and a post office grocers shop selling fresh bread, croissants and hot Cornish pasties & the best sausage rolls. Crantock Beach is owned by the National Trust and is a national treasure with beautiful soft sand, dunes, rock pools, river and excellent surf being the next bay along the coast from Fistral Beach but without the crowds. Crantock offers a great base for a traditional Cornish holiday with easy access to all the sights and attractions. The Coastal Footpath is 5 minutes walk away & leads to Crantock Beach, Polly Joke Beach, Holywell Bay & Fistral Beach. Beware of stroing riptides & swim/surf between the RNLI flags.
The National Trust Carpark is free to members.
Please note that the access to Crantock Beach via the sand dunes is steep and not suitable for the very old or young or people with mobility issues. From the main National Trust carpark there is a flat walk to the River Gannel end of the beach on the right side. You can hire surf boards/paddle boards from Big Green Surf at Crantock Beach NT carpark.
The Village Post Office sells amazing local pasties, the best sausage rolls, bread, bacon, eggs, beer, papers - its GREAT!!!!
Starfish Cottage Location: Starfish Cottage is located in the seaside village of Crantock. Crantock is a picturesque village of historical note, on the North coast of Cornwall - four miles from Newquay and with one of the best beaches in the area. It has an ancient church, three pubs, pizza cafe, art galleries and a village store. Crantock Beach is a great beach for families and surfers alike. It has a wide sandy beach with sand dunes between the beach and the village. At low tide you can walk along the beach to West Pentire. Polly Joke beach is the next beach around the coast going west. It has been described as one of the best beaches in Cornwall and one of the 50 places you should visit before you die! The National Trust own Crantock beach and the surrounding area so the entire flora and fauna are well protected and preserved. The Car Park limits the number of visitors to the beach.
