Enjoy true desert vistas in the foothills of Cave Creek and Carefree. Get ready to relax in this western studio casita attached to a horse barn at a private ranch called Red Rock Roping. Just a short 3 mile drive to the town of Cave Creek and Carefree restaurants, bars and shopping but far enough to enjoy a quiet and peaceful scenery of mountains, sunsets and sunrises. Donā€™t forget to kick your feet up, and end your night to enjoy a wide open view of the stars! Also, keep your eyes open for desert critters such as rattlesnakes, tarantulas, scorpions, deer, road runners, bob cats, and coyotes. We ask please do not catch, feed or leave any food out that will attract them. Enjoy them from a picture away :) Our 2 accessible acres will give you 360 view of mountains, our Red Rock Roping arena, and a Saloon to gather under to enjoy cool refreshments, and a meal with your friends/family. Right outside our entrance going North on 80th Street you can hike over to the Grapevine Wash which is a short walk away from the Cave Creek Town Trail System for hiking and horseback riding, and if youā€™re adventurous you can hike up 2 miles of a 800ā€™ climb on a gravel road/trails to ā€œMexican Hatā€ for an even more incredible view! Grab some quick delicious breakfast and coffee at "Brunch". Or American cuisine lunch at The Horny Toad, a Mexican cuisine dinner while watching the turtles in the pond at El Encanto! Many restaurants to choose from all within a short drive. Bashas, Safeway, Target, and Walmart and Sprouts are all within a 3-6 mile drive too! This delightful property features a cozy king bed, WiFi, and a convenient community laundry area. Experience what Cave Creek has to offer with a stay at our western bunkhouse.

The host was great and the place was wonderful. I reserved this for my tenant while work was being done on our condo and she loved it. She said the whole stay was much nicer than she even hoped for and that rather than an inconvenience of being displaced from her condo, it became a nice vacation.Highly recommend this place and host

All of the above and more.Jim our host was extremely welcoming. The amenities were great. We loved sitting on the back porch gazing at the mountains and watching the stars at night. In the front of the bunkhouse, we sat and watched the colorful sunsets and listened to the owl close by. So peaceful. The ranch itself was so well kept and the bunkhouse was Awesome! It was so cozy and had everything we needed to have a wonderful stay and we did! We will be back!!!

Very comfortable bed with a wonderful ranch setting. Really enjoyed hanging out at the saloon. Theyā€™re on the property. It was a little chilly, but they had outdoor heating. Nice trail from the property.

Amazing location that includes a comfortable and cozy bunkhouse. Upon arrival we met the owner who was so generous and hospitable. The views and serenity of the location are top notch. A quick hike out the back gate and we had amazing and private sunsets, spotted a gila monster, and truly were able to appreciate the optimal beauty of cave creek. What a find! We hope to return.

The Bunkhouse and Mel were outstanding! I couldnā€™t have asked for anything more. Itā€™s not just a bunkhouse but its updated with modern amenities in the room, super clean, and beautiful horses right outside the front door. Location is gorgeous and feels remote but is just a short drive from town with great restaurants and shops. I fell in love with Cave Creek and Carefree. The hiking and views are out of this world. Thank you Mel!!!

I would absolutely stay here again. This bunkhouse is not the dusty rundown place you see in the movies! The whole ranch area that guests have access to is tidy and clean. The bunkhouse is sparkling clean when you arrive. It is well equipped, or at least you can get what you need from the saloon, and there are many upscale modern amenities. The king-size bed is on a really high frameā€”too high for a short older guest like me to get onto without the provided step stool, but there you have it. There is a step stool. The gate to the property is large but easy to open and close; easier with a friend in your car who can jump out and handle it, totally manageable for one person, just give a couple of extra minutes for the process. The tap water is icy cold and tastes fresh. The shower is an experience; let it warm up before you get in or you will have a facefull of that same icy cold water. Host Mel is awesomely responsive to texts and very personable. There are other guests on the property who are salt of the earth nice people too. You are sure to enjoy your stay.

We absolutely LOVED this place! The bunkhouse was so cozy, the bed so comfy, everything was perfect. With so many good restaurants and fun saloons within a few miles, we didnā€™t use the hot plate or air fryer much. We spent most of our time in the lovely saloon area which was always cool despite the heat. And the hosts were so lovely and accommodating. We highly recommend this wonderful place!

My family and I moved down to Cave Creek Arizona in 2024 from Oregon. I grew up a lot down here visiting my grandparents (whom we help out on this ranch with) multiple times a year. This has always been my "home". I enjoy being a host, to share this beautiful property and love meeting all the people who come to visit. It's been so much fun, learning where they come from and sharing the joys of Cave Creek.

Every morning I step outside, close my eyes and listen to the all the birds chirping. I take a deep breath and open my eyes to endless views of beautiful mountains, nothing but the wilderness speaking, and the sun shining bright. Our neighbourhood is far enough from town, but yet close enough. Our ranch sits up perfectly to enjoy every sunrise and sunset. (Thank you god, for putting this property into my grandparents path, hehe!!!)
