Welcome to Antler Cabin, located in the Adirondacks High Peaks region. Our rustic cabin is set on almost two acres in the wooded AuSable Acres neighborhood. The main level open floor plan, covered deck, hot tub, and fire pit are ideal for family and friends to gather. Whiteface Ski Resort is a 12-mile, 22-minute drive that includes scenic Wilmington Notch along the west branch of the Ausable River. Lake Placid is just 21 miles, a 35-minute drive from the cabin where you can enjoy shopping and dining. Dogs are welcome at $75 per dog, per stay, up to two dogs. Unfortunately cats are not permitted to stay due to guests with severe allergies. Please know the yard is not fenced at this time. The HOA allows one *unoccupied* camper / RV to be parked.
The open concept main level includes the living room with a woodstove, kitchen, and dining area. This level also has a bedroom and a bathroom. The primary bedroom ensuite is located upstairs. Heading downstairs from the main level leads to the walk-out finished basement with a bar (BYOB), TV, additional sleeping space, a half bath and a washer and dryer. The front porch and back deck are covered and have seating. In summer, enjoy central air conditioning inside.
A customized keypad door code and welcome information will be sent to you the day before arrival through the booking platform’s message system and, if provided, to your email.
This property has an exterior security camera at the front door, facing the driveway.
Please note: Stairs are required to access the front door, the primary bedroom and the lower level. Furniture should not be moved. Despite the deck having been cleared, pollen, leaves and pine needles accumulate quickly in this heavily wooded neighborhood.
The AuSable Acres neighborhood: In an effort to be a good neighbor, and adhere to the Town's noise ordinance, events and parties are not permitted. Quiet hours include 10:00 pm - 8:00 am. Please drive slowly and respectfully in the neighborhood.
Underage drinking is not permitted, and we do not allow smoking, nor vaping, inside the cabin.
WiFi: Guests are asked to enter an email address and a phone number to access free WiFi at this property. In accordance with booking platform policy, we use apps to facilitate our guest experience and these apps may request contact information before, during, and after your confirmed stay.
For your stay, we provide 1 roll of paper towels, 2 rolls of toilet paper for each bathroom, 4 laundry pods, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, dish soap and hand soap. Please contact us if you need additional supplies. Each guest is provided with a washcloth, bathing towel and a towel for the hot tub. Firewood may be purchased at roadside stands and local stores like Stewart's Shops in Au Sable Forks. Please contact us to discuss if you would like to have guests visit.
Adequate parking is in the driveway; do not on the street or in the yard. We ask that vehicles are limited to 4 and that number would include an unoccupied camper / RV. The HOA allows one *unoccupied* camper / RV to be parked and guests will sleep in the cabin, not exceeding our guest limit. Failure to comply will result in a $500 fine and guests will be asked to vacate with no refund.
Guests staying on Wednesday evenings are requested to bring the trash & recycling bins to the road for Thursday morning collection. Please flatten your cardboard boxes.
Enjoy the fire pit responsibly, remembering to dispose of trash, and ensure the embers are extinguished.
When not in use, the hot tub should be covered. Please be mindful of children when near the hot tub.
AuSable Acres Homeowners’ Association offers trails, Lake Eaton (not recommended for swimming), pickleball / tennis courts, and Ausable River fishing at the end of Signor Rd. Current NYS fishing licenses are required. If you plan to enjoy the amenities, please let us know and we will send you an image of the HOA pass; the pickleball / tennis court code is on the card.
Departure Day:
• Sign out of TV apps.
• Empty the refrigerator and freezer,
• Wash used cups, dishes, utensils, pots and pans.
• Strip the sheets from the beds that were occupied, leaving all bedding atop the beds.
• Place used bath & dish towels by the washer.
• Please place bagged trash & recycling in their respective collection bins.
• Turn things off.
• If your pup traveled with you, please clean up after them, inside and outside.
• Be sure to close and lock all windows and exterior doors. Thank you.
