This stunning family friendly Lakeview property offers only the very best in self-catering accommodation and is situated in the well renowned ‘Golfo del Sole’ on the beautiful lakefront in Maccagno, along the north eastern shore of Lake Maggiore.

This apartment offers luxurious living with Under-floor heating and air conditioning throughout. The property features a modern Open plan Living area with Sat Flat screen TV with DVD player and a luxuriously comfortable seating area with Sofa bed. French doors lead out onto a beautiful and sunny Balcony terrace with panoramic lake views over Lake Maggiore.

A newly fitted contemporary Kitchen with all the desired appliances is also provided, ensuring your self-catering holiday is as homely and comfortable as possible! A dining area is also provided which is ideal for large dinner party gatherings. Guest can also enjoy the outside table and chairs.

The sleeping accommodation is spacious and luxuriously comfortable with 2 Double size Bedrooms and many high quality furnishings. A Sofa bed to the Living can also be utilised so that the apartment can sleep up to 5 guests comfortably.

Outside the property an elevator is situated which takes guests to the ground floor of this beautiful and well-equipped Residence which offers onsite services including a Property Manager, both free public and private parking and a wide range of activities including a Lakefront Lido with Swimming pools (open jul 1 to sept 30), Jacuzzi and a Sailing Club and Marina with boat moorings. A climbing wall, Tennis Courts, Beach Volley ball and Mountain biking though wild woodland trails are other activities which be enjoyed by residents in Golfo del Sole.

Six prestigious Golf Clubs are all situated within a 40km radius from the residence and Skiing can be found at Forcora which is only 15 minutes away, or guests can travel to the well-known Swiss ski resorts of San Bernardino, Airolo and Andermatt which can be reached in just over an hour.

The very pretty ancient town of Maccagno with its imposing medieval tower overlooking the wonderful marina and its cafes, shops and sandy beach is a popular visitor attraction in itself and enjoys a very warm and mild year round climate.

Local visitor attractions include the Borromeo Islands with their splendid Italian style gardens, the ancient Angera Castle that dates back to the XIIth century, the hermitage of
Santa Caterina del Sasso, the splendid Villas run by FAI (the Italian National Trust) and the gardens of Villa Taranto in Verbania.

We have had a great holiday in Maccagno with lots of fun. Here are some impressions: - Environment Maccagno / Lago Maggiore: fantastic. For our part we had some more fun at night, 'but it certainly has advantages in not being too touristy. Very friendly people. - Apartment: great - we would like to reserve for a number of years! If we had the same facilities elsewhere, for example on the other side of Lake Maggiore, Lake Como or Lake Lugano, we would love to stay in those places also. With regard to a few air-conditioning problems, we solved those ourselves. - Facilities / swimming pool: beautiful, beautiful accommodation. - Other facilities: parking was great. We really appreciated having all the information you sent before & during our - it was very good.  We had no need to visit your office in Menaggio. The guide was complete and very clear. - Attractions: We really enjoyed several boat trips that we took on Lake Maggiore. Furthermore, the Val de Vadasco (CH), is highly recommended. In a Word: Perfect! We would love to come back next year, preferably in a similar apartment (with air conditioning, a washing machine and swimming pool), we welcome opportunities to meet you (if possible for six people). Herrlicher Aufenthalt

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit, waren von MItte bis Ende August vor Ort. Die Anlage selbst und auch die Lage ist toll. Es gibt schöne Wandermöglichkeiten, der Pool lädt zum Schwimmen ein und auch die Isola Bella ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. Gute Restaurants sind zu Fuß einfach zu erreichen. Mit der Klimaanlage gab es kleinere Probleme, aber auch hier wurde schnell geholfen. Alles in allem können wir die Anlage nur empfehlen.

Wohnung in Maccagno, Lago Maggiore

Leider können wir nicht mehr als 2 Sterne für die Wohnung vergeben. Ausgesprochen schön waren die Lage, die schöne Poollandschaft sowie die Größe der Wohnung. Leider entsprach die Wohnung aber nicht den Angaben in der Beschreibung (Luxuswohnung) und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmte einfach gar nicht. Wir hatten direkt nach Ankunft eine nicht funktionierende Klimaanlage und diverse kleinere Schäden, z.B. abfallende Badarmaturen. Fabio, der Property-Manager, war zwar stets erreichbar und hat sich sehr bemüht, uns zu helfen, aber leider hatten wir die meiste Zeit trotz angeblicher Reparatur keine richtig funktionierende Klimaanlage und dadurch eine überhitzte Wohnung (30 Grad und mehr) und auch mehrere Tage nur kaltes Wasser zum Duschen usw. Als sie dann mal lief, hatten wir einen Stromausfall und danach ging wieder nichts mehr. Auch die "Luxussitzecke" gab es nicht und das Zustellbett war eine Zumutung und zum Schlafen überhaupt nicht geeignet. Wir mussten es selbst mit allen möglichen Kissen und Decken sowie einer Yogamatte auspolstern, da man sonst jeden Metallstab im Rücken spürte. Schlafen im Wohnraum war auch deshalb kaum möglich, weil der Kühlschrank und der Anlagenschrank für Klimaanlage und Wasser immer wieder laut brummten. Außerdem gab es in 2 Wochen bei dem hohen Preis keine Zwischenreinigung und auch keinerlei Möglichkeit, es selbst zu tun, da weder Besen, Staubsauger o.ä. vorhanden sind. Auch ein Handtuchwechsel war in 2 Wochen nicht vorgesehen. Ebenso gab es

Die Wohnung und die Anlage mit gepflegtem Pool und Lage sind OK. Garagenstellplatz prima. Aber es wird dringend ein Handwerker in der Wohnung benötigt. Die Halterungen für Toilettenpapier und Klobürste sind abgefallen. Steckdose auf dem Balkon defekt. Der SAT Receiver ist alt und die Fernbedienung war irreparabel defekt also nicht nutzbar. Abhilfe konnte nicht geschaffen werden. In den Deckenlampen befindet sich jede Menge Schmutz. Die Türen klemmen und lassen sich nur laut öffnen/schliessen. Die Betten quietschen und knarren bei jeder Bewegung. Usw. Hier könnte mit wenigen Handgriffen Abhilfe geschaffen werden. Alles in Allem ist das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis nicht gut eher mangelhaft. Eine Wohnung, die ca 2000,-Euro/Wo kostet sollte in Ordnung sein.

Gehobenes Objekt in Top Lage

insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen. Bei dem Preis waren aber auch die Erwartungen hoch. Eine Anleitung für die Klimaanlage wäre gut gewesen, sie ist nicht selbsterklärend, aber das sind Nebensächlichkeiten.

Thank you for a super stay in your beautiful holiday apartment! It was very stylish and comfortable for us and our friends. We enjoyed some really great meals outside on the covered balcony and the residence offered fantastic views and a super swimming pool. We were delighted here and have had a really fun 2 weeks!

Our time on Lago Maggiore was just magic! Our holiday apartment was in a very nice sunny lake view complex, with a swimming pool and very easy access to the lake shore. We really enjoyed our luxury apartment - the rooms were all very good sizes and very modern and stylish. Our terrace was also great for the summertime too! Thanks very much HHH!!

Thank you for a fabulous stay in Maccagno! The apartment was stunning and it offered us a great self-catering alternative to a hotel. The lake view balcony was great and we really enjoyed the outdoor swimming pool, jacuzzi and the nearby sailing club. Maccagno was also really close by some fantastic golf clubs. We would recommend this place to anyone considering Lake Maggiore!

We've had a great time this summer on Lake Maggiore! The apartment was beautifully presented and the residence offered a relaxing holiday haven with its pool and lake view sun deck. Maccagno was a really pretty place to explore and also to reach the nearby attractions and resort towns. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Hello Folks, Just to let you know that we really enjoyed a lovely relaxing holiday at Vista di Maccagno Apt, Fantastico which is beautifully appointed with fantastic views over the lake & mountains. The apartment is just as detailed & the pictures are a true representation of the accommodation; the directions & details of how to get into the apartment were spot on. We enjoyed the local bars & restaurants; going on the local ferry to visit other towns on the lake & we had fun messing about on the lake in locally hired pedallos! My only suggestions would be to warn those driving that the lakeside roads often narrow without warning which can be a bit stressful & the lack of heating of the lovely swimming pool takes your breath away! All in all a lovely apartment & location

Many thanks - Simone looked after us very well. We had a lovely holiday; Apt. was beautiful but would not recommend the area for non drivers. Note that all buses and ferries finished up really early and were not that frequent.
