The place is very nice. We loved the layout which allowed for the kids to play downstairs most of the time! We especially appreciated all the cleaning supplies and bathroom essentials. The gas grill is also great for cooking steaks!

We loved this property! Beautiful view, wonderful amenities and the host was so helpful the entire stay! Beds were comfortable and everything we could have needed was there! So many deer in the area which my kids loved!!! Only thing we did not expect was the steep hill getting to the house. There was a storm(we were told it was not a normal one for he area) and included a couple pretty neat images we were able to capture during the storm!

We were all in awe of the beautiful views as soon as we walked in. Our girls loved the welcome snacks left by the host . The host was always easy to reach from the time we booked til our checkout time. There were minor hiccups. A couple of spider webs when exiting the living room sliding door to go to the deck. Spider webs & spider under patio table so we didn’t use it. The fridge water filter needed to be changed. The host did offer to bring one the next day but our party brought more water bottles for our short stay instead. The first floor outside fireplace near the swings wasn’t working using the switch. We did get further instructions on how to turn it on but had no success. We just wanted it on for pictures and ambience so we gave up. We did take advantage of the community indoor pool when it was raining and enjoyed the outdoor pool when the weather permitted. Overall, our favorite spot was our own private hot tub surrounded by a stunning view. Despite the minor hiccups mentioned, I would still book at the Mercantile again. The pictures don’t do it justice.

Beautiful modern home in north Georgia

We really enjoyed our stay at The Mercantile! The home is beautifully decorated and has all the amenities for a restful vacation. Communication with the host was very easy. We highly recommend this vacation home.

Perfect mountain home

The house is practically brand new with most amenities that you would want/need. The views are breathtaking and the feel of the house is serene. Definitely recommend this place as your weekend getaway.

I can’t tell you how happy all 9 of us are with our stay at this property. It has everything you need for a comfortable vacation with family and friends. The home is beautiful and pristine, beds are very comfortable, and the AC works wonderfully. We 3 families enjoyed all of our dinners around the table. We spent most of the time hanging out on the back decks! The deck sits perfectly aligned with the sun in the summer so we remained comfortable despite it being hot in mid-July. We love that it’s in Coosawattee River Resort for all of the amenities. The owners are very kind and have great communication should you need anything. We can’t wait to come back!!

We’re sorry to see the 3-star rating, as we aim for 5-star stays. Allen shared that our property was “very nice” and well-furnished, and we’re proud of that feedback. We’re disappointed the rainy weather affected their experience, as this is beyond our control. While we could not fully refund a cancellation request 24 hrs before check-in, we offered flexible options and ensured a seamless stay. We welcome feedback and invite you to enjoy our home again in the future with hopefully better weather.
