Relax in a cozy beach cabin named 'Everything's Just Beachy' located in the heart of Oak Island on a shaded lot. This home is an easy one block direct walk to the beach and is extremely convenient and within walking distance to grocery store, shops, ice cream, putt putt, arcade, bars, clubs, restaurants and much more. Chill out under the Water Oaks and relax in a porch swing on our spacious screened in porch that is perfect for taking in the beach air when the day is done in the sun. Kids room has full chalkboard wall for creating and drawing pictures. Cheerful décor and hardwood flooring. 3BR/ 2Ba - Br1 Queen; Br2 Queen; Br3 Twin Bunk beds; sleeper sofa sleeps additional guests.
Amenities include: Fenced in back yard, screened in porch with swing & couch, open porch with chairs, outdoor table, outdoor rinse off, digital cable, flat screen TV, DVD, sleeper sofa, propane grill, washer/dryer, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, microwave, 2 showers/2 tubs, some kid games and puzzles and full chalkboard wall for kid and adult drawing fun!

IMPORTANT RATE NOTIFICATION:
Rates quoted include linens, departure cleaning fee, pet fee (if applicable), daily wifi, refundable deposit, and taxes.

Trained and well behaved dogs are Welcome. No cats. Pet fee applicable. Please clean up yard after pet as children play there too. Summer months are strict Saturday - Saturday rentals.

The property was adorable it had a lot cabin vibe and beautiful inside. The beach was in walking distance and easy to access. The only downside was the towels/rags for bathing we only had one rag provided and 4 towels for 5 people so we bought some rags and a few towels and made it work. Other than that it was a great place to stay!!

Nice property little big for us, loved screened porch, but chosen for convenience to the beach. Two blocks and over the dune, without the over pricing like other houses. Fenced yard for our four legged kid. Thanks and will consider again.

Was greeted by no less than 10 mosquito bites between the car and the house. Had to dodge leaning trees to get up the driveway (careful if you have SUV or truck). Back door was swollen and stuck so I had to body check it to get it open. Greeted by dead palmetto bug in the bedroom. Allegedly there was a cleaner that came day-of but i saw no evidence of this. Cobwebs and fuzz in the walls, grease on the cabinet behind the stove (that you see sitting in the dining room). At night the yard and porch were overrun with palmetto bugs to the point of not being able to go out (they fly!). The 1st night I fell asleep with the baby. The 2nd night my mom had come to surprise us and saw 2 palmetto bugs *alive* in the house. We decided to cancel plans to go to the aquarium the next day and leave instead of staying til Mon. Linens smelled like at least the quilt don't get washed regularly. Check out instructions include taking out garbage, cleaning yard after pets, loading dishwasher, etc despite there, allegedly, being a cleaner coming at 10am (check out time). Emailed host and got "I'm sorry you feel that way" and "I was there last week and cleaned". I asked for a refund (for night 2 and 3 since we would have left night 2 if not for the bugs on the railings that i was afraid would go into our bags) and that has not been addressed.

Great place. I would definitely stay there again. A couple of minor upgrades would make it much better though. 1st fix the shower head in master bathroom. Upgrade the furniture. Supply more necessities such as more trash bags and a bigger trash can. If you are going to get the cheapest paper towels and toilet paper please supply more. Add televisions in each bedroom. Upgrade the cushions on the screened in porch couch. With all that being said we loved our stay there. Very convenient to beach access. Screened in porch was very nice to sit and enjoy the weather. Washer and dryer were new and easy to use. The grill came in handy several nights. The reviews that mentions the neighbor are true. He likes to listen to his music kinda loudly. Although he was very nice and considerate. He made it a point to speak with us and tell us if he was too loud to let him know. Good thing is he played good classic rock music

The trifecta!

The price, location and vibe (teenagers added that) made for the perfect stay. The proximity to the beach was fantastic! We struggled with the hot water supply a bit, but would absolutely rent again!

Great Home to stay at

My family has vacationed on OKI for generations, and this was a first time staying this close to the Old Bridge. We thoroughly enjoyed the house and found it easy to get to the beach as it is just across the street. We would recommend this home to our other family members, friends, and neighbors.

Great spot in well loved home

So first, we went down to this property right after a megastore had passed through washing out roads and homes in the area. The property owner called us and let us know that the property was fine and gave suggestions for making the most out of our trip down and gave us suggestions for how to get onto the island and enjoy ourselves which was greatly appreciated. When we got down there we had an issue that the property owner quickly helped us through. Overall, we had a short but great time at the property. I would suggest this home to others who want to stay at oak island!

Great location

Very easy walk to the beach. The house was like sleeping in a mountain cabin but at the beach. I don’t have small kids, but I was very impressed with the bunk room. One whole wall is a chalkboard.

Great Beach Cottage

This was a comfortable stay for our family (me, spouse, two teens, and our dog). There was plenty of room, beds were comfortable, yard was spacious, and it was a short walk to the beach. We hope to be staying again soon.

Worked but wasn’t perfect

The lock box for the key is in an awkward spot where we had to remove some spider webs to access. More bugs in the house: master bedroom and bunk bed room had some dead bugs and spiders. Also the bunk bed room had a funky smell to it. Like sweaty smell.. house needed some tlc for sure but nothing surprising. Flooring is buckling up in the bathroom and there was a piece missing from one of the doors between a bedroom and bathroom so we hung a towel over it for privacy. all that being said, it suited what we needed it for just had to debug it a bit first and learn some of the quirks . I feel like it was about as expected for an affordable cabin/house rental.

We welcome our guests to our home and hope that you will treat it as your own and help us keep our things nice. Come enjoy and when you leave, write us a note and tell us who you are and what you liked about it.. and what we can do better as well to get you to come back!

We love mountain homes and love being around trees and shade but our hearts are at the beach as we love the sun and sand. So with this home, we got the best of both worlds. When you are hot and are done with the sun.. our house and lot is shaded so that you can sit out and enjoy the summer at the home... without sitting in the sun. The walk to the beach is a direct, one block walk.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

This is not your typical beach house. Our beach cabin is a santuary and 'Everything's Just Beachy' when we are here and life stops. The skylight in the kitchen and open kitchen/livingroom floor plan adds plenty of light throughout the day. The fenced in back yard is perfect for kids and for pets. The home is located entirely on one floor and has only three steps up to the door of the home and is perfect for families with smaller children, older adults, and pets that stairs become a concern. There is no doubt that you will enjoy this little shaded piece of heaven.
