This place was a total dump . We ended up not staying we got another cabin elsewhere. I tried to call the host with no help whatsoever. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE !!

I tried to cancel this rental last minute (due to all the negative reviews I read) but could not so we made it work. They decorated the home with festive stockings and lights but even that did not hide the issues lurking inside. Non working TVs, Dirty oven, gross hot tub, the floors and walls are literally falling apart and look like a trip hazard. The drive up to this house is dangerous. Do not stay here if you aren’t comfortable driving up narrow steep slopes. Do not stay here if you plan to use a clean hot tub and do not stay here if you want an overall clean and safe rental. It has potential but has been neglected and is in need of multiple repairs.

This was a great place to stay. The view was amazing! We spent a lot of time hanging out on the porch. The house was clean and had everything we needed for a stay in the mountains.

I filed a complaint never heard back dirty dishes .. dryer broke ... no batteries for remotes had to go buy pots and pans to cook the one there were so worn out no Teflon left on then and peeling ... was told that sorry but people steal the. Whe. They leave and batteries was told sorry there a laundry mat down the hill . Rat pop covered utensils drawer ... horrible experience ...

The best thing about this cabin is the view. However, the couches smelled really bad, and one was broken. The beds are uncomfortable, and the covers from one of the beds downstairs smelled badly, like they hadn't been washed. They need to update the A/C unit because it won't keep up. This cabin could be a great stay if they do those updates and do better with the cleaning.

Beautiful wildlife

We enjoyed our stay! The cabin was dusty and dated but cozy and comfortable! We had the most fun seeing the bears!!! The old cabin is beautiful and the real mountai. I loved that we had a little privacy around the cabin. We had trouble with the hot tub but we would definitely come back to this adorable adventureous cabin

Relaxing

This cabin was in a great location, with a grocery store just down the hill for all our snacking needs. Peaceful mornings were spent on the porch facing the mountains drinking our coffee.

The Spot’s Hot – The Cabin’s Not!

Cabin needs a lot of TLC and has very old smelly furniture. Not a place where I would go again. Communications with the management company were challenging. We got one contact who never replied to any messages and after we checked in we received another contact who helped a bit.Our biggest problem was old broken and smelly furniture. Even rest of the cabin needs renovation. Only saving grace was the location and the views.

Remote yet Not Remote

It is a really cute log cabin with a remote feel, and yet you are close to all the conveniences of Gatlinburg. The view was beautiful and the beds were super comfy! We loved the wood burning fireplace and got really, really good use out of it, as a storm had knocked out electricity for the first few hours of our stay. We still had a wonderful family time at this cabin.

The area was nice, cabin needs more outside lighting and the cabin had lots of mice and mice droppings everywhere. Place was not that clean, no extra towels and hot tub did not work. We saw bears they came right up on the front porch

Needs some updates location was great!

Cooking utensils and pans were filthy had food on pans. Lightbulbs were missing. The whole house just needs to be gone through and cleaned up a bit. New mattresses needed in all rooms! TV remote upstairs couldn’t get it to work. Could use more decent towels. The best thing were the 3 baby bears on the hot tub!

Gatlinburg rental cabin

Do not stay herd. The cabin is old, dilapidated and dirty. The photographs are at least 25 years old. The deck is rotten and dangerous. There were cigarette ends and ash all over the deck. The inside has mice droppings in the kitchen. We did not stay in the cabin, instead found another cabin which was much more suitable.

I loved the cabin. It was very cozy and it slept 6 adults and 3 children very easily. The location is great!! The only negative was the house cleaning. Upon arrival it was very dusty and I’m not sure our sheets were clean. The floors under the furniture were not clean. I would’ve given it 5 stars if it had been cleaned. The breaker box on the outside would not shut. Very dangerous with children around. My dad tied it shut he also fixed the American flag. Like I said I loved the cabin but if I were the owners I’d find a new cleaning service.

Updates are needed

(Note to owner) Please invest some money into this property.It would take too long to dive into the details of why we would not stay here again.Although the location and the views are great, the house is in serious need of some TLC.Simply put, Replace furniture, hire new cleaners, get mold testing done before someone gets really sick, fix the decks and railings, replace the bedding, and for the love of god... STOP TRYING TO COVER EVERYTHING IN FABREEZE.i have never given a bad review, so I feel a little bad, but I would not suggest this home to anyone in its current shape.

I was very disappointed in the overall condition of the place. Upon arrival the kids kicked off their shoes to explore the place and within minutes they had blacked bottoms of their feet. The one couch arm is completely broken. The flooring has had water damage and is coming apart in numerous areas. The wallpaper is coming off ans has mold spots. The air conditioning does not keep up and with it set at 71⁰ we found it to 74⁰- 76⁰. We kept smelling an odd plastic burning smell. Come to find out someone burnt something in the fire place and it wasnt cleaned out. I had to clean it out and put it outside. I felt like the pictures on the site no longer depict the condition of this rental.

Cabin was out dated inside. The email I got said there was a welcome book and there was no welcome book. So we had to figure out how the connect our kids phones to Wifi. There was leftover coffee from someone else in the cabinet. The cleaning crew left linens in a pillow case on the couch. It was a great location and lots of room in each of the rooms. The view was beautiful and the hot tub was amazing.

If you are reading this review to decide is you should stay here or not DO NOT! (unless you want some kind of glamping experience). The pictures show an oven and shove top, and only the stove top works (barely). So if you want to cook food for your family, bring an air fryer or expect to only use the microwave! Next, the toilets struggle to flush, and the showers do not drain water (and were not cleaned) so you will be standing in prior visitors dirty water! Lastly, the owner called me multiple times trying to “figure out” all of these problems saying he would find someone to fix the oven and the bathrooms, yet never got back to me in the end. When i called the number listed for cleaning she told me she doesn’t even work there and has not for a month. So did our cabin even get cleaned? It was disgusting. Dishes were not washed in the dishwasher upon arrival and everything felt greasy. Once again, I called the owner about this and he said he was going to call the cleaner mad. Then, once again never got back to me about it. I am STRESSING to not rent from this owner. (if you are considering make sure to bring your own toilet paper, dish soap, dishwasher pods, cleaning supplies, and maybe an air fryer)

It was ok.

Our stay was ok but there were some issues. I should have read the reviews before staying. The front stairs are very slippery when wet. Me and someone else staying with me slipped. Possibly broke bones.Couches need to be replaced. They are so broken you almost can’t sit on them. Other than that, I could tell that someone had cleaned before we arrived which I appreciated because I was prepared for it not to be- from the previous reviews- but you can tell that it could use more cleaning and things need to be replaced.

The heat wouldnt work it stayed at 65 the whole time with 5 inches of snow we had to go buy heaters just to keep warm it sucked we call the property people was told it has to stay on 75 and still never got warm
