This property was exactly what we needed! It was spacious and cozy… the sectional is super comfy. Adequate kitchen supplies. It was very clean which we appreciate. We loved the on site washer and dryer/ garage area. If I had to make any suggestions to the owner it would be to flip the refrigerator door so it opens the opposite way; and to get more comfortable deck furniture. Adirondack chairs are cute but just not comfortable.. we didn’t really use the deck. This property is literally steps from the beach which was so convenient! We are probably going to rebook this property on a regular basis. Also like another reviewer mentioned, when bringing linens include a bath mat for each bathroom you want to use.

We just finished our m-f stay and had a great time. Everything was sparkling clean, and I am a tough critic! The home was comfortable, well equipped, and an easy walk to the beach. The bathrooms have been updated from what appears in the listing and that was a nice surprise! Thankfully I read some reviews because I had missed that towels and linens were not included. So word to the wise, don’t forget to bring all of the sheets and towels you need for the stay including kitchen towels. One thing I didn’t think to bring was two bath mats because the tile floors were slick exiting the shower. I would include those in my packing list next time.Communication was friendly and prompt and the community amenities were perfect for my teen age kids! We are already looking at dates for another stay!

This was a wonderful place to stay. I will be staying there again. Highly recommend if you have teenagers because the basement provides them their own space.

DO NOT RENT UNLESS YOU TRAVEL WITH YOUR OWN BEDDING (5 beds, 3 sizes) AND TOWELS. The view and beach proximity were excellent, and we knew the décor was dated. Unfortunately, Unknown to me, no sheets or towels were provided.We arrived around 11:00 p.m. after traveling across the country and discovered there were no linens. After hours of calls with Vrbo and the listing company, we had to get two hotel rooms and were not settled until about 1:40 a.m.The next morning, I spent hours contacting Vrbo, the owner, and the management company before purchasing sheets and towels at Target so we could stay in the condo. I was initially told the listing disclosed that linens were not included, but the information was not clearly displayed in the Vrbo app, which the owners eventually confirmed.To their credit, the owner and listing company reimbursed us for the sheets and towels, two nights of our stay, and the cleaning fee. I appreciated the compensation, but it did not restore the vacation time lost dealing with the issue.We also purchased pillows because all of them had an unpleasant odor, and the carpeting could use a thorough cleaning. The location and view are genuinely great, but the lack of linens and resulting disruption made this a disappointing experience. If linens are not provided, that should be prominently stated in the main description so guests know before booking.

Great Location, Comfortable Home

Our family of 4 settled very comfortably in this townhouse right across the street from the beach. We were walking distance from a number of restaurants and a great local bookstore. Our host was very responsive, and even accommodated a special request we had, which made our stay even better. Highly recommended!

A small piece of paradise

This small townhome's quaint layout is a restful paradise, just a small skip from the beach, but still smack in the middle of town. Perfect for a staging location to explore the town or hit the beach for sun and surf. This location is not accessible-friendly and could not be navigated with crutches, much less a wheelchair, so please be aware.

Vaca at Kitty Hawk year 2025

It was a wonderful 4th of July. I loved the townhome. Location, location, location. You are right at the beach, swimming pool, hot tub, and game room. Thank you such much for a nice clean home. We will be returning hopefully in the fall. To the families that are coming in the future you don’t need chairs, rafts, or sand toys. Fully stocked.🇺🇸

Loved it!

This was our first time visiting the Outer Banks and we were very impressed with this property. One of our biggest things are cleanliness and we were very impressed how clean it was. It's convenient to restaurants and shops. It's close to the beach and pool. My kids loved both. The outdoor balconies were so relaxing to sit in the evenings. Loved the amount of space we had. What I also loved was some of the decor that made it feel like I was at the beach as a kid. You can't beat the location. We loved it so much we asked to stay for another night. Would definitely recommend and plan to stay again in the future!

We enjoyed our stay tremendously. Overall the space was clean and comfortable. We were visiting in early April and the weather was unseasonably cold. We spent more time indoors than intended but the space was comfortable. Updates have been made to the bathrooms and all televisions have been updated to flatscreens not shown in the listing photos. The stove pictured has anlso been replaced with a glass top. Our biggest complaint was that the clubhouse amenities were not open including the pool and notably the hot tub. I cannot find that this was noted in the listing and it was a disappointment. The clubhouse itself was having some maintenance done and though we were able to use it, it was in disarray. Beach access was close. Area is excellent for shops, restaurants, etc within a short drive or even walk. We would return here. The price was excellent even with a few disappointments. The 80s/90s ambience wasn’t lost even with the updates. All in all we enjoyed our family getaway to the area.

Great Location! Great stay!

Everything about our staying was lovely! We had 4 adults and 3 kids (6-12 years old), so the accommodations were perfect for us. Beach access was a 2 minute walk, and it was never crowded (of course it was early June). We even saw lots of dolphins and a sting ray off the beach! Although a lot of the home isn’t “updated” as someone complained about, we knew that from the photos. It’s very beach cottage feeling, which we loved, and very clean! However, the photos didn’t show the beautiful updated full baths, and updated televisions/tech. There are games and puzzles to keep a family busy while relaxing, and the lovely balconies to enjoy the stars at night! This place has all the beach toys, buckets, boogie boards, chairs, and even a cooler for your use. I do wish this was in the listings because we did purchase some things we didn’t need too, but I might have missed that in the listing. You do have to bring your own linens and towels (remember those hand towels for the bathrooms), but that’s a small thing for the great price we got this place for! The pool is a lovely break from the waves every now and then, and there are so many restaurants and other activities close by. We didn’t have any issues, so never needed to contact anyone. Highly recommend for families! This was my family’s first time in Kitty Hawk, and we loved it because our stay here was such a perfect match and perfect location so close to the beach!

No Linens or Towels-

We did not see that this location does not provide bed Linens or towels in the fine print. Pictures on line show towels and linens. This was misleading and frustrating. Nice place just seems rather cheap We had to go to Walmart to buy sheets and towels - not you want to do on vacation

Was very convenient to beach and stores!

The experience was good, just an issue getting in, we had the code, but was not informed you had to hit the check after, was a little frustrating. We praise you for coming out the same night to fix our AC unit, had been 96 that day and got hot very quickly. Overall was pleased and would rent there again. Thank you, S. Jones and family.

Nice condo close to the ocean.

Perfect property to stay at. Coming clear across the states, no linen was a added difficulty but we managed. Luckily I thought of kitchen towels also. There are two flights of stairs to get to the livingroom area but the views were amazing off the decks!!

“The Crumblies” was a great location to have a relaxing, fun weekend with friends. The clean, comfortable and well stocked townhome was perfect for some fun in the sun, evening gatherings on the deck, and morning coffee listening to the waves! Thank you for letting us enjoy your home!

Perfect Basecamp for Beach Escape

Stayed here for a long October weekend at OBX. We really enjoyed the townhome and don't think the online photos do it justice. Can't beat the location for accessing beach, restaurants, lighthouses, parks, and shops. Our teenage boys REALLY enjoyed the included clubhouse activities like ping pong, tennis, racquetball, basketball, and some old school arcade games, not to mention the pool and hot tub. Like, others have commented, it would be so much more convenient if linens were provided, but it wasn't an issue for us to bring them. Lastly, thought I'd share the bedroom set up for those who are wondering, like we were. There's one bedroom on upper floor (next to kitchen) with a twin bed and a bunk bed. On the second floor there's a king BR (with balcony and bath), and another queen BR. We're already looking at next year's calendar to come back!

The house was great! It was clean and well stocked. The location was PERFECT! It was closer to the beach than I expected. The owner was quick and friendly in answering all of my questions ahead of time. The check in process could not have been any easier.

Good Beach Location

Beautiful decor. Short walk to the beach with a street to cross. Comfortable beds and plenty of seating for seven of us. Only two burners on the stove worked. Close to many activities, parks, and restaurants. Pool access was a must for us, and it was convenient. Loved the finished garage for extra space. For the price, a bit disappointed to have to bring linens. No blankets available. Kitchen had everything we needed.

Good Accomodations

The place was very clean, and true to the website photos. We had a great time! The only thing that was disappointing was that the pool was not available to use, nor were we able to get into the rec/game room. We brought 4 teenagers with us & these were going to be their fun activities. We should have been told that these amenities would not be available. Thank you!
