Recently, we experienced the opening of a spectacular new restaurant high on a hillside overlooking totally stunning vistas of hills, beaches and ocean: VILLA CHAMELEON... World class food in a stunning setting! Add this to an almost endless list of special restaurants - such as COCO LOCO and BAHIA del SOL - serving dishes from all over the world... All situated within a few minutes of our compound. As you all discovered, we at Villas Casa Loma offer welcoming, casual, quiet comfort in an oasis-like setting. PURA VIDA ! Again, we are thankful for your return visit with your friends. We really missed the visit of your 2 children this year, but hope that next year they will be able to join you again tjhe next time you return... Thanks also for your kind words, Dave. We pride ourselves on being available to offer advise and direction to the wide variety of local sites and activities available here in our little corner of Paradise... As you have discovered, there are a number of new restaurants catering to all levels of palate, so there is never a lack of places to find good food. Several farmers' markets have also opened in the area, increasing the supply of interesting culinary opportunities for those who are inclined to explore the wide variety of fruits and vegetables available here... We have recently added another pair of parrots to our menagerie. They compliment the other wildlife dwelling on our 70+ acre preserve. Whales have recently been spotted out front in the bay and the bird life is abundant, as always, here...Our staff spotted a jaguar back in the dry forest behind our Villas the other day and the howler monkeys make regular appearances - frequently announcing their presence in the trees and nearby forest... It is a real source of pleasure for us to be able to support the wildlife in our nature preserve and we are constantly taking measures to protect it and keep it as nautural and pristine as possible...As you noted, the weather is warm and sunny during the day and has been almost unseasonably cool in the evenings lately - perfect for sleeping without the need for air conditioning...
