Nestled high up on a hillside in Colombier, Villa Carpe Diem (DEM) offers its guests the chance to stay in a traditional St. Barth villa with the island’s real Caribbean spirit and experience. Its location gives it privacy and quiet, and a magnificent ocean view, one that stretches all the way from Gustavia Harbor to the east to St. Maarten to the est.

The sunset views at Villa Carpe Diem are particularly lovely, but it is the kind of luxury rental property that makes you feel relaxed and captivated by the island’s beauty all day long. The decor is traditional and a bit whimsical, without ever being over the top.

There are a number of outdoor living and dining spaces, shaded by trees, and a pool terrace with a sundeck and lookout point. Indoors, there’s a secondary living space in its own bungalow for inclement-weather days, and a fully equipped kitchen with a wraparound counter and barstools for breakfast or a snack.

The two ensuite bedrooms are situated next to one another, to one side of the kitchen. Each is spacious, with a vaulted, whitewashed ceiling and some traditional decorations on the walls. Additionally, the villa has a third bedroom in its own bungalow near the pool, although this bedroom is currently not available for rent.
