Tradicampo offers rural houses in the district of Nordeste, Sao Miguel island, in the Azores. These stone houses are classified as 'country houses,' under the Portuguese standards and legislation for Tourism in a Rural Area, and have been renovated using traditional materials.
The interior and exterior environments and the various facilities available guarantee a high level of comfort, inviting guests to enjoy a leisurely, unforgettable holiday.

As the house, located in Nordeste district, Sao Miguel island, Azores, was being rebuilt, we actively tried to maintain its architecture, restoring the original structure by using traditional materials and techniques. In addition, some new elements were added aiming to improve the living conditions. These new elements are characterized by aesthetically contemporary options.
The surrounding plots of land have been turned into gardens, where the peace and quiet of the countryside can be enjoyed. In the gardens, a wide range of ornamental plants can be observed. Some of these plants are endemic and some are fruit trees commonly seen in the backyards of Azorean rural stone houses.
For the interior decoration, we used restored traditional Azorean antique furniture together with contemporary objects, in order to obtain high levels of authenticity and comfort.

Like pearls lost in the ocean, the Islands of the Azores, are located in the North Atlantic, about 1,500 km west of Lisbon. The archipelago is formed by nine volcanic islands and has a total area of approximately 2,333 km2.
On these islands, you will find places of extraordinary tranquility and beauty, where the blue of the sea and of the hydrangeas and the green of the fields and mountains range in hue from one island to another. The crater lakes have a unique beauty and mystical charm, associated with ancient legends. Their museums, churches, and palaces house artistic and historical treasures, and their traditions, popular festivities, handicrafts, and gastronomy are still very much alive, comprising a five-hundred-year-old heritage.
The Nordeste district, in particular, is the best-kept secret on São Miguel Island. Its untouched nature, with a large area of laurel forest, inhabited by the Azores bullfinch, a unique species, and its breathtaking landscapes, with the deep blue sea view.
