Situated on the north coast of São Miguel Island in Ribeira Grande, this house is 50 meters from the sea with stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean.
It has capacity for 5 people, has two bedrooms, one with double bed and one with a double bed + one single. Accommodations have sea views.
The living room has a sofa bed, TV / cable, Wi-Fi internet and games table.
The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, stove, oven, coffee machine and microwave. It has a fully equipped bathroom.
It offers a terrace and accommodation with sea views.
Meals can be enjoyed indoors or out on the terrace enjoying a magnificent view of the sea and the mountains.

Wonderful Hosts

Wonderful and communicative hosts were more than welcoming with our needs with a baby and were incredibly helpful when our travel plans went askew. Will be back!

Stunning views

Cute little house. Views breathtaking. Off the beaten path but close to everything. Would highly recommend a stay here. Owner quick to respond and helpful with any question.

So Beautiful

This place could not be any better. Central location and also secluded. Loved to home. Beds were comfortable and it was amazing to sleep to the sound of waves in the distance.

Beautiful property, stay here you won’t regret it

Very helpful host and beautiful views distinguish this house with so much charm and great location. Half hour from Ponta Delgada and ten minute walk from a fantastic beach and small local restaurant. Great spot to explore the island from, but honestly you would be fine just staying here and doing nothing too. Go see the local waterfall!

Sweet spot to wake up to the sound of the waves beautiful coast town beach close by centrally locate

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay Sleeping to the sound of the ocean and quick walk to the beach. This central location make the whole Island accessible. Nice hiking trails and seaside village are a short distance away. The owner were wonderful responding quickly to a questions. I would recommend this property

Incredible View!

This was a great house in a quiet neighborhood. The balcony was the highlight with a spectacular view. There is also direct access to the beach. Nuno was very helpful!

Great house on the coast. Loved the outdoor grill and upper deck views. Quiet neighborhood.No A/C made the upstairs bedrooms a little warm, but they had fans and the house cooled off each night with the windows all open and coastal breezes.

Review the pictures Nuno has posted to see exactly how the home looks, but do so while listening to constant wave sounds to get a real feel for what staying here feels like.

Awesome visit

From the get go the host, Nuno, was very helpful and informative. The house is cozy and very clean, not to mention the view from the deck. The clothes washer was also a plus. We were able to park off the street, which was great as the streets are narrow. We highly recommend this facility.

Michael and their companion were fantastic guests! They were friendly, respectful, and left our Airbnb in immaculate condition. We would gladly host them again and highly recommend them to other hosts.

Awesome stay in Sao Miguel

My wife and I enjoyed our amazing trek and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Casa do Mar. From going to bed at the sound of waves crashing against the shore to roosters wakening us, it was a treat to enjoy the house on the cliff. The country is so beautiful and we enjoyed the local cuisine. This location does require access to a rental car to get around. If you are looking for a location away from the city, yet right on the coast, this is the place for you.

Joseph and his wife was exceptional guests at Casa do Mar! From the moment he arrived, his respectful and courteous demeanor was evident. A Wonderful Stay!

Nuno’s house was perfect for us. The location was convenient to all of the island. We loved the little village of Porto Formosa and hope to return. There are some tucked away gems of restaurants in the village that outdid the food we ate in the larger cities. The local beach Praia dos Moinhas was outstanding and a short stroll away. Nuno always responded right away to our questions and was a terrific host. We could not have chosen a better place to spend a week (that went by all too fast).

Porto Formosa

My sister and I enjoyed our stay. It was challenging to find as we were exhausted from our trip but Nuno was very helpful and a very responsive host. Lovely to hear the waves crashing on the rocks below. We were disappointed that we could only see the waves and ocean if we were standing on the terrace (not while sitting). Comfortable beds. Overall it is a nice place to stay.

Spectacular View

Interesting and authentic house on a beautiful cliff top location on San Miguel. Great for accessing the north and eastern areas of the island. Likely the single most incredible view of the surf from the bedroom window. Nice deck to grill out, watch the waves and have a meal. Host - Nuno was great and checked in to make sure everything was right. Everything you need for a great stay.

Rental with a view!

This is a great place to stay if you want to be more in an “off the beaten path” area with beautiful views. It is in walking distance to a nearby waterfall and beach bar/cafe. You can also climb down to a secluded beach area right by the house. It is also in a central location to get to all the key sites on the island. I would caution that taller/larger people would find it a challenge with the low ceilings and a small shower. Nuno is great with communication for anything needed.

Honeymoon on the azores

It was a very pleasant residence. The view and the sound invite to enjoy the life in the azorean way. For honeymoon, there is no more better place on earth. Surrounded by the nature and wrapped in the original silence is this house located in a good basic position for all places to go on the island. Great beach house with an unbelievable view!

Nuno was very attentive to every detail during our stay. It was very easy to communicate with him. The house is perched above a cliff with a trail diwn to the cove. The outdoor space was lovely allowed for us to enjoy a glass of wine under cover and protected from the wind and rain. Nuno provided all the amenities and made ut very easy for us to cook a few meals. Nuno recommended a restaurant nearby, Mare Cheia and they had amazing fish brought to your table for you to select. Was thevest tuna I've ever had! Obrigado Nuno!

Absolutely Stunning and Peaceful Respite

Nuno's home is absolutely wonderful - the perfect place for a peaceful stay. The views are fantastic, and hearing the ocean break against the (basically isolated and private) volcanic beach below washes away any travel stress instantly. Nuno clearly planned the property well- nearly every room has a view of the ocean. The bed was comfortable, and the luxury of having an ocean front view and window in a second story bedroom was awesome. Tons of little things that made the property special, including many thoughtful notes and welcome gifts (biscotos, tea, coffee, water). Nunoe was very communicative as well. If we could give 10 stars, we would! Stay here, don't hesitate!

Beautiful location but needs a little attention

Very nice, quiet location overlooking the ocean. It is possible to walk down to the beach but pay attention, as the path is not well maintained. Property manager very good with communication about check-in. Best feature of the house is the spacious porch with outdoor shower. When we arrived, the house was very hot, especially the upstairs where the bedrooms are (all windows were closed, and there is only one small fan in one bedroom). We also encountered a few large cockroaches. House could be amazing but needs some loving touches.

Convenient and comfy

Our family of four stayed here off season for the US Thanksgiving holiday week in Nov. The location is beautiful- tucked in right on the water with cRashing waves beliw to lull us to sleep at night. The beds were comfortable, kitchen well supplied and Nuno was very helpful and accommodating, meeting is a bit early to let us take a jet lagged snooze. the location was tucked into a quiet village, a short walk to the beach, which served as a nice central launch position for jaunts anywhere around the island. Only 10 minutes from the 2nd largest city Ribeira Grande, which offered wonderful dining and shopping, not to mention So many miradoura (golden views). We appreciated being able to truly experience the island, where cows outnumber people 3:1 and the pace of life is designed to relax and enjoy. I think Furnas was our favorite town to visit. We look forward to returning to see the beautiful island during its peak blooming season, but really enjoyed the lack of crowds during our stay here. Obrigada, Nuno!
