The Space:
We can’t think of anything either, and that’s why Home Away from Home at Bridgeford Crossing is the perfect place to spend your upcoming vacation to sunny Davenport! With 5 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, and an open floor plan promoting connectivity and entertainment, there’s nothing this home can’t do. Spend your days swimming and playing in the pool, your evenings soaking your cares away under the vast canopy of stars, and the rest of your free time engaging in some good old-fashioned competition. The fully screened-in patio features plentiful outdoor seating for relaxing while soaking up some rays whether you’re turning the pages of a good book or indulging in a meal al fresco. With views of a private wooded area instead of neighbors to the back of the home, privacy also comes in abundance! If you’ve come to the area with designs of visiting the nearby theme parks, you’re in luck as you’ll find them just a hop, skip, and a jump away.
Upon stepping inside you’ll feel right at home among the stylish, contemporary furnishings and elegant décor. Bright splashes of color perfectly compliment the more soothing cool tones, highlighting recent updates to the first-floor common areas. The first of 2 living rooms at the entry of the home offers plush loveseat and sofa seating illuminated in natural light. It’s the perfect place to take your morning coffee with a side of casual conversation, making up for lost time. From here, head into the modern kitchen showcasing stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, and newly painted cabinetry stocked with all the cookware and dining ware needed to whip up delicious meals at home. Grab a high-top barstool at the island for a quick bite or to prepare a spread of afternoon hors d’oeuvres, while the dining table can seat 8 for more formal meals together. The second living room offers views and access onto the patio, with sofa seating and a smart TV for keeping up with all the episodes of your favorite shows. That game room we mentioned? It’s stocked to the brim with plenty of options to get your heart pumping including a basketball game, foosball table, darts, jumbo Jenga, Connect 4, and more!
This home sleeps up to 16 guests comfortably between 5 private bedrooms and queen size sleeper sofas in each living room.
Bedroom #1 includes a king size bed, smart TV, deck access, and ensuite bathroom with a dual vanity, soaking tub, and glass walk-in shower.
Bedroom #2 includes a queen size bed and smart TV.
Bedroom #3 includes a twin size bed, full size bed, and smart TV.
Bedroom #4 includes a twin size bed, full size bed, and smart TV.
Bedroom #5 includes a king size bed, smart TV, and ensuite bathroom with a dual vanity, soaking tub, and glass walk-in shower.
The home also includes a half bathroom as well as 2 additional full guest bathrooms – the first with a single vanity and shower/tub combo and the second with a single vanity and glass walk-in shower.
THINGS TO NOTE:
• Due to the high incidence of theft and damage, we do not provide wash cloths for bathing. If you need wash cloths, you will want to bring your own. However, bath towels and hand towels are provided.
• Washer and dryer in unit.
• Driveway parking available for 3 compact vehicles. Street parking is not permitted.
• This home is equipped with a Vivint camera system monitoring the home’s front entrance and driveway.
• Patio grills. Your home might have a BBQ grill installed on the patio. If you decide to use the grill, there is a $95 fee. You should request to use the BBQ grill prior to your arrival as we have locks on the grills. After each checkout and before any arrival, our operations team checks the grills by taking pictures and/or videos. If it is determined that you or your guests used the grill, you will receive communication from our guest services team advising you that your card will be charged. BBQ grill fees are non-refundable.
• Pool can be heated for an additional fee of $29 per night. Please contact our customer service after you have booked your stay for further payment.
- Please be advised that the pool heat is not included in your reservation cost. Charges for pool heat are non-refundable unless the heating system is experiencing issues. Pools need a minimum of 48 hours to heat properly. Pool heat is added for the whole stay or none of the stay. There is no partial pool heat allowed due to the high costs to bring up the temperature in the home.
Note: cold fronts in the winter months (<60 degrees) can cause the electric pool equipment not to function; this does not constitute mechanical failure and refunds for pool heat will not be issued. Home with heat pumps can only pull heat from the ambient air, and generally only 15-20 degrees above ambient is the temp the pools can get to.
This home is located in Bridgeford Crossing, ideal for theme park and golfing enthusiasts alike, putting you 20 miles from Disney and Legoland, and 30 miles from Universal Studios. In addition to an abundance of local shopping and dining outlets, head to Margaritaville (17 miles) or Posner Park (7 miles) for some of the area’s best shopping, dining, and entertainment. Between the world-famous theme parks and major shopping centers all around, you will find plenty to do and enjoy during your stay at Retreat at the Crossings.
