This house belongs to the Kohly family as a second home and was gutted and completly renovated with love of the Florida Keys and keeping in mind that it would be a family home. Gene Kohly is a builder of high end custom homes for over 40 years and also has a real estate license. His wife Elizabeth is the decorator for many of these homes and chooses all colors and furnishings. This house is used for family purposes when it is not rented. The pool was added in 2015.

This property has many unique qualites that make it extremly desirable. Firstly location , it is located literally 26 miles from Miami-Dade county ( less than 1/2 hour away) also Adams cut is the only connection between the bay and the ocean for many miles and depending on the weather or preference it makes this location one of the best in the Keys. All Miami has to offer and all the Keys has to offer is easily accessible. There are many great restaurants accessible by water as well as some of the best coral reefs and fishing in the world. The house itself is extremely roomy and has a large lot. Both features are rare in the Keys.

The house itself is true to the Keys in its design , colors, art and furnishings. The bedrooms are huge and there is no shortage of separate rooms to read or relax. The house is built for entertainment and enjoyment. There is over 2000 sf of outdoor entertainment area. There is a gas BBQ and a fire-pit and in the lower level there are many lounging and eating areas. The roof deck shows every cloud in the sky on a clear night. Adams Cut is also considered to be one the best shrimping spots in all of Florida. And the nearby reefs are considered among the most beautiful in the world. This house has all concrete construction and impact windows and is considered very storm resistant.
