Welcome to Little Bear Lodge - tucked away in the heart of Cedar Mountain, NC, just minutes from the waterfalls and trails of DuPont State Forest.  This dog-friendly 3-bedroom, 2-bath custom mountain home offers the perfect escape for families seeking adventure and tranquility.  Ideally situated, this home also offers convenient access to downtown Brevard and Pisgah National Forest.   Upon arrival at Little Bear Lodge, guests are greeted with ample parking space outside the home for up to three cars.

Guests first access Little Bear Lodge through the lower level entrance.  A staircase leads guests to the main level of the home, where they find an open living area with plentiful windows for abundant natural light.  A cozy sofa and additional chairs are situated around the stone fireplace with gas logs.  A modern dining table with seating for 6 provides an indoor gathering place for meal times.  The kitchen is complete with stainless appliances and has been thoughtfully stocked with all the dishes and cookware needed for an enjoyable stay.

One bedroom and one full bathroom are located on the main level of Little Bear Lodge. The main level bedroom is home to a queen-sized bed and the bathroom boasts a tile shower.

When guests travel up the stairs to the upper level of the home, they find two additional bedrooms and a second full bathroom.  The larger upstairs bedroom is home to a king-sized bed and also offers workspace with a printer for the remote workers in your group!  The other upper level bedroom is complete with two twin-sized beds-perfect for the smallest travelers in your group.  The upper level bathroom is hard to beat, with dual sinks, a luxurious soaking tub, and a separate tile shower.

In addition to beautiful and thoughtfully curated living and sleeping spaces, Little Bear Lodge also offers indoor and outdoor recreation space.  After a day of hiking or biking, enjoy your evening meal on the deck, complete with a gas grill and outdoor dining table for 6.  To unwind, challenge the kids to a friendly ping pong match or a game of darts!  Be sure to take advantage of the cozy seating area around the wood burning outdoor fireplace - ideal for roasting s'mores!

Guests who want to get out and explore have so many options, right in Cedar Mountain!  Options for food and dining include Cedar Mountain Cafe and Cedar Mountain Outpost.  Produce, local meats, and cheeses at Whistle Stop Market make for a fun and delicious shopping trip.  After a long day of hiking or biking, unwind at Cedar Mountain Canteen's Beer Garden or Cedar Mountain Moonshine.  And everyone should spend a day in the quaint and musical downtown Brevard, less than 10 miles from the home, with a plethora of restaurants, coffee shops, and boutique shops.  Whether you plan to hike, bike, shop, dine, or enjoy other activities in the Brevard/Cedar Mountain area, Little Bear Lodge is the ideal home base for your family.

As your host during your stay, White Squirrel Realty is easy to reach by text or phone.  Each home is supplied with fresh, professionally laundered linens and supplies to make your stay comfortable.  Our cleaning team is local and are trained so you can enjoy your vacation in a clean home.  Confirmed guests will receive their pre-arrival communication and check-in information through text messages to the cell phone number on the reservation.  Contactless check in allows guests to go straight to their vacation home at check-in time.
