AIRPORT SUGGESTIONS
(LGB) Long Beach Airport - (15 minutes from property)
(SNA) Orange County Airport is (30 minutes from property)
(LAX) Los Angeles Inter. Airport (35 minutes from property - shuttle to car rental locations)


Timewise, LGB is much easier getting 'in and out' of than LAX as it's much smaller and very close to our cottage. SNA (also known as John Wayne Airport) is also a smaller airport and located in Orange County. Timeframes can vary depending on time of day and current traffic conditions.

OMG was this place amazing. Perfect neighborhood, walking distance to amazing restaurants and bars, safe, clean and just a pleasant experience. What was even better was the communication from the owner. They messaged everyday to ensure everything was good. Amazing place, great area and the best communication from the owner I have ever received. A. When staying in Long Beach again Iā€™ll definitely book this place again!

It was so convenient to shopping and the beach. The lovely garden at the back was such a bonus. It was a great place to get together and talk. Overall itā€™s a wonderful place to make home for a little while. Everything was clean and well equipped and very very pleasant

Absolutely gorgeous, a real escape with spacious and comfortable living area and great kitchen. The bedrooms provided a real sanctuary with good quality bed linen and room for the family. The garden is a real treat. Cannot recommend the house or the location enough. Walking distance to beach and restaurants. Loved it.

We had an amazing stay at Madison De Fleurs. The house and gardens are beautiful and peaceful. We had our meals outside on the rear patio which was quiet and relaxing. The chefs kitchen had everything needed for a gourmet meal. Hostess Kelly was great to work with and immediately responded to questions about the house and the area. Belmont Shores is a delightful area for foodies and music lovers. The beach is an easy ten minute walk as well.

Perfection in Belmont Shore!

We absolutely loved everything about this beautiful cottage. It's right off Second Street, so getting to shops and restaurants was a breeze, and the beach was about a 10-minute walk. Kelly has poured her heart into this home and garden space, and it shows! The back patio is a dream garden, and the interior is a fabulous mix of antiques and beach vibe. Kelly made sure that we had everything we needed, and even left vases of fresh cut flowers in every room, straight from the yard.

Great stay in Long Beach

Really enjoyed our stay in LB. Home has older charm with well selected furnishings, bedding & decor. Bed was very comfortable after a day at the beach or site seeing. Close to 2nd St for restaurants & shops, nice beach about 4 blocks away. Beach towels & beach chairs available. Back yard is wonderfully landscaped with plants & flowers which provide shade, very comfortable even during summer temps; unexpected in an urban setting and added a nice touch. Nice extension of the living space to enjoy the outdoors. Kelly was very responsive and provided suggestions and info for us during our stay.

Great stay family with young children

Our stay at Kellyā€™s home in Belmont Shore was absolutely fantastic! We have stayed at 7-8 VRBO homes and Kelly was absolutely great. From communication, information on the area, cleanliness, overall just felt like home and was super welcoming. While I can see this area being a great spot for adults (bars, restaurants) nearby, we really enjoyed it with our two kids (3,5). You can walk to a kid friendly beach, visited the Long Beach aquarium, Knottā€™s Berry Farm, as well as plenty of other things a close drive away. Again property was comfy, clean and had everything we needed. Will definitely recommend to family and friends and plan to go back in the future. If you are interested in visiting this area you canā€™t go wrong with this home!

Charming! Perfect place for Long Beach stay!

This is the most adorable little bungalow. Only 3 houses from 2nd street. House is decorated beautifully but even more than that we LOVED the courtyard! It is immaculately landscaped and the flowers were gorgeous. I drank coffee every morning with the scent of the jasmine waking me up. Host was extremely attentive with great instructions on how to find the alley with the garage. I was given advice to not book a place without parking and that was correct! Iā€™ve been telling everyone I know to go to Belmont Shore and book this house!

It's my hope you enjoy the property as I do! Just a few houses off 2nd street, you won't run out of new and interesting things to do. This cottage is in the best location if you desire close proximity to great beaches, restaurants, bakeries, pubs to include Alamitos Bay and Yacht Club! Enjoy sitting on one of the local 2nd street benches just to people watch or take a short stroll up the street and walk along the beach with 'waves', the bay (it's calm and great for younger kids) or the boardwalk to watch the sunset. Be sure to check out the 'location tab' to see just how great the location is. Enjoy the advantage of having the ability to take a short walk to just about everywhere!

Once you've arrived, you'll appreciate the private back and side yard as well as the gated front yard. Your proximity to banks, dry cleaners, drug store, post office, massage, salon, etc. is all within walking distance - minutes away. It's also fun to rent a bike and ride along the bayside or the boardwalk along the ocean. If you're a coffee drinker and don't feel like making a pot at 'home' - there are several coffee houses a few minutes to the left of the property . . . or a 10 minute walk to the right!

Enjoy all that the 'Shore' has to offer without ever needing to get behind the wheel. The weather here on Southern California's coast is wonderful. As three sides of Belmont Shores is "hugged" by water, you're sure to enjoy this seaside community. You also might enjoy the 'Farmer's Market' situated in the parking lot near the bay, this market is a great way to spend a Sunday morning. Grab what you need for the week, or . . . head across the lot to the weekly Art and Craft fair - both are held at East Marina Drive south of East 2nd Street.

Whatever you choose to do here, come stay at the cottage . . . enjoy the ocean breeze, the beaches, the friendly people and all of the comforts 'Maison de Fleurs' cottage has to offer.

Although the listing indicates through VRBO a "firm" cancellation policy, after signing the Standard Rental Contract I want you to be aware that I understand emergencies can happen. If you have the need to cancel your reservation, I'll reopen those dates making every effort to rebook them. If I'm able to rerent your dates, you'll be refunded for those dates less a $100 cancellation fee as well as the service fee VRBO retains.
