The property was fantastic with a lot of charm. It was well furnished and very comfortable for our long weekend stay in Seattle. The kitchen was well furnished and had all we needed to cook and make the stay very pleasant. It’s Seattle in the fall so we did not get to enjoy the back yard as much as we would have liked but it was a large backyard that would have been great for dinners or a glass of wine. Thanks for sharing your property with our family.

Beautiful house with lots of space, great for multiple family members! Super cute area that’s close to Ballard market and the Locks. We loved going to the cafe down the street. The body was communicative and helpful.

Overall, our stay was wonderful. The house had everything we needed and it was a great location. The beds were super comfortable and the bathrooms were very nice. We did have trouble with the front door lock a couple of times, but you can also go in and out of the back door. One other thing was you cannot run the living room AC and both the units in the upper bedrooms at the same time. It trips the breaker. The weather while we were there was unusually warm, so I’m sure it’s not something that happens frequently, but it did happen to us. Again overall, it was a great place to stay and a great location.

Unassuming on the outside but very nice on the inside. Well furnished and maintained. Ballard location was a nice quiet neighborhood out of main traffic routes but conveniently near some good choices for restaurants, grocery shopping and an excellent Danish bakery.

Wonderful stay! It was immaculately clean and incredibly well-stocked—they truly thought of everything. The kitchen had all the tools we needed, and the house was full of thoughtful extras like books, games, cozy blankets, fans, and A/C units in every room. Our daughter was thrilled to discover the Thomas the Train plush toys!The house itself was much bigger than we expected, which gave our daughter lots of freedom to play and explore. The location felt safe, and just a 15-20 minute drive from Pike Place Market and downtown. We spent most of our time exploring the Ballard area, enjoying the shops, cafés, and restaurants on Ballard Ave and Market St. We also visited Discovery Park and spent time at the Carkeek Park beach, which is a fun spot if you like trains.One heads-up: we found some thorns in the grass in the backyard, likely from nearby bushes, so we’d recommend wearing shoes outside. Also, since the house is right next to a playground and basketball court, you can hear kids playing in them morning and during the day from the bedrooms. This didn’t bother us at all—especially with a fan or the A/C running—and the playground turned out to be a huge bonus for our daughter, who loved the slides, swings, sandbox, and ride-on toys.We’d definitely recommend this place to families and would absolutely consider staying here again!

Wonderful stay

We enjoyed our stay at this VRBO in Ballard. The house was very clean and well equipped. The hosts were friendly and responsive when we needed to contact them. We would definitely stay here again.

Incredible location

Property has a lot to do for kids, assortment of games great home layout, next to a few parks and minimal traffic to city center but outside of the bustle. Very walkable neighborhood. There were a few issues with the property but the hostess was easy to get in touch with and fixed things immediately. Highly recommend and would stay again.

Lovely home to gather with family!

We felt very at home for the week- a chance to be in Ballard with our son and his family. His brother and his family joined us with their two girls and we were able to enjoy activities over Thanksgiving together with ease. Our son’s house was just a few minutes walk away. 👍 The home was ideal for us, nicely presented, very comfortable and enjoyable. Thank you!

Amazing home in Ballard

We had the most amazing visit at Melissa’s rental home for a friend’s wedding. There was plenty of space for four of us to have privacy and also come together and hang out in common areas. She had thought of anything you might need while at her home and has stocked up! The local wine, snack mix and chocolate were such a sweet touch as well! You will not regret booking this space for your Seattle trip!

I am originally from CT and came to the PNW over 20 years ago via IN for college, then CO upon finishing grad school.
I love being a host because of all the interesting people and connections I've made along the way and I take pride in offering a positive experience for guests with the comforts of home.
I moved to the east side with husband Jon and my two stepsons, now in their teens. We all enjoy activities such as wake surfing, biking, crossfit, and currently a LOT of football games as both our kids play on different teams.

This house is nestled in an area that lends itself to family visits for weddings, births, graduations, and other special events. Ballard has a special vibe filled with a sense of community, and creativity.
This was my home for 10 years that I was proud to buy on my own after becoming a school principal just blocks away. I have many fond memories of talking to my former students in the park right next door and connecting with former families walking in the neighborhood while I was doing yardwork out front.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

This house is quaint with a lot of character. Having a large backyard makes it a great place to relax on a nice day and the walkability is fantastic. I love that you can get to a coffee shop, a corner market, a restaurant, and more in just a few short blocks! Given the everchanging city life, I feel like this sunset hill area has maintained it's charm and family feel. I have amazing neighbors that help me out whenever needed and take care of each other.
