Maja and Asdru’s shared love of nature brought them to this breath-taking part of the Caribbean Jungle, which is studded with crystal clear cenotes and hugged by one of the most majestic coast-lines on our blue planet. Pristine, virgin beaches await 6km away from Casa Arkaana in addition to which there are countless crystalline cenotes to explore and enjoy in the local area. Our peaceful, tropical sanctuary is nestled in the jungle of Chemuyil. Whilst the excitement and movement of both Tulum and Playa del Carmen are accessible, being immersed in the nurturing atmosphere of the deep Mayan jungle gives all who visit a precious opportunity to unplug, unwind, align and restore.


At Casa Arkaana, we are completely powered by solar energy and our water comes from our well. Our united vision is to hold space for deep healing and transformation, whilst living and working in harmony with nature. We also grow and produce clean and vibrant foods… We have an orchard, an edible garden, a chicken coop, vermiculture etc. and are dedicated to soil regeneration, working with micro-organisms and practicing a variety of natural farming systems.

Maja is in service by sharing the deeply healing practice of yoga (trained in teaching Hatha, Iyengar, Vinyasa and Prenatal) alongside other healing arts and holistic practices. Asdru is an inspired permaculture designer. He loves teaming with microbes and working with and in service of nature for a better tomorrow. By walking a path of self-enquiry and slow, conscious living Asdru and Maja endeavor to cultivate authenticity and embody wholeheartedness through all that they do.

Whilst being immersed in the Mayan jungle, Casa Arkaana is only 6km away from the last virgin beach on this coastal stretch, Xcacel (which recently got nominated as the most beautiful beach in the world). The stunning beaches of Bahia Principe and Akumal are also very accessible from Casa Arkaana, as are a plethora of crystal clear cenotes (Xunan-Ha, Yax Kin, Chemuyil Cenote, etc). While providing the absolute tranquility of a deep jungle immersion, Casa Arkaana is just 30 minutes away from Tulum and 45 minutes away from Playa Del Carmen (by car).

The closest airports are Tulum International (1 hour) and Cancun International (1.5 hours) from our center.
