Small family reunion

Gather with family from Iowa, Ohio, Oklahoma and local Cookeville area! Shannon is an amazing host. After another VRBO host canceled on us, just 22 days prior to our stay, Shannon was available for all my last minutes questions and got us booked. The location was perfect—peaceful and private, yet close to everything we wanted to explore. Whether we were relaxing on the four seasons room, enjoying the cozy living space, or cooking in the well-equipped kitchen, it was clear the hosts put a lot of care into making this a true home away from home.Communication was seamless and welcoming, with quick responses and helpful tips throughout our stay. We didn’t want to leave and are already dreaming of coming back. Highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for comfort, style, and an all-around top-notch experience!

Owner was nice and responsive. Deck had rotted boards. My daughter hurt her foot on a deck screw that was sticking out. My wife got stung by red wasps the chairs had wasps' nest. Maintenace is lacking overgrown yard firepit full of trash. Fought with the tv remotes for 2 hours finally go the living room to work. Upstairs the remote didnt have batteries in one of the remotes. Host was really nice no issues there. This is a decent house just really lacking Maintenace. We travel pretty frequently and this wasn't a nice stay with all the issues. Given the host was nice i would give it another chance once so.e work was done.

We are always happy to address any and all issues encountered by guests during their stay. We accommodated Bill for a same day check-in and thus did not go through our usual full evaluation of the exterior of the home prior to his arrival. We will not make that mistake again. All issues were addressed immediately upon checkout and are now resolved except for the remotes, which was user error. We have since included directions for how to use them for future guests that don’t want to reach out for help. We welcome any specific questions potential future guests may have about this review.

The house was lovely and met our needs but there were several things that kept coming up during our stay. I will say that the host was very kind and responsive but I didn’t like that I had to reach out so frequently. The overhead light over the table in the sunroom was out. Not a big deal, but it was the table we were using to play games on at night. We moved some lamps around to make it work. The alarm for the septic tank alarmed twice during our stay with one of them being at 2:30 in the morning. The hot tub got cloudy and started to smell on our second day. Luckily we had people in our party who are in the pool business and the host accommodated by letting us use some of their chemicals to clear it up. I know that we were in the woods and bugs are a thing, but they were terrible in the bunk room. We would clean them up and come back down to find more. They were on the ceiling, the floor, and the walls. One member of our group woke up with several bug bites from being bitten in her sleep. There were also lots of pieces of bugs woven throughout the rugs in the house. The house was very well stocked with essentials and communication with the host was great. We had a great visit. Just wish we didn’t have to reach out about so many things.
