This home is perfect for 2 families because there are two stories. First floor master bedroom has a king
bed and an attached new sunroom which has a full brand new futon couch/bed. The bottom floor has the second master bedroom with new queen bed and and family room which has a very comfortable 10 inch futon couch/bed.
There is a full bath on each floor.

* Master Bedroom has new luxury king bed and new bamboo floor. Lots of closet spaces, linens and high quality down pillows.
* Second Bedroom has new luxury queen bed and 42 inch LG LCD TV with new Samsung BluRay DVD player streaming Netflix, WiFi, and etc...
Also has new travertine flooring. Lots of closet space, high quality down pillows, and linens. This room opens out to a private side yard.
* Upstair Sunroom which is attached to Master bedroom has a new foldout full futon. This is great for 2 small children or one adult.
There are sliding doors with darkening honeycombed shade to separate the master bedroom from the sunroom.
* Downstairs family room has a full 10' futon, a working desk and Sony TV.This room is great for 2 small children or 1 adult. This room leads out to a private side yard.
* Master bath upstairs has walk in shower
* Downstairs bath has a shower tub
* Brand new LG washer and dryer
*There are lots of storage space
*Has front yard with patio furniture abe umbrella. In addition, there is another privately enclosed side yard.

* Two car garage and additional two carport parking spaces in front of garage. This is a total of 4 car parking spaces especially very valuable in the beach areas.

* Livingroom has 52' LCD flat screen with Samsung Blu-Ray DVD streaming Net Flix, WF, YouTube ....
* Kitchen has everything you need.

* 2 brand new Schwinn beach cruisers, 2 surfboards, boogie boards, umbrellas, beach chairs, beach towels, and ice chest.

There are Bus station and the Coaster only a block away. You can take the Coaster all the way downtown San Diego or take it north to Oceanside and board onto the Amtrak train to Los Angeles or Santa Barbara. The train to Los Angeles has beautiful coastal view.

Local mountains are 2-3 hours away... Big Bear, Bear Summit, Snow Valley are great for families. You can be at the beach surfing, playing volleyball or sunbathing and then be skiing or snowboarding the next day.

Fantastic location, great town

I traveled to Encinitas for a 4 day weekend with my 14 and 17 year olds. The location was fantastic! It was a 5 minute walk to D street beach. My kids are avid surfers and we were able to walk to the beach with the gear. The location was a short walk to all the restaurants, bars , and shops. Because of COVID we cooked in and did carry-out but most establishments were open for outdoor dining and partial indoor dining as well. Once I got to the property I parked in the garage and did not use the car again until I did a grocery run. The garage was a nice amenity and it was well stocked with beach gear, chairs , coolers etc. and I did. Notice some baby gear. Communication with the owner was excellent- she responded quickly and when she realized we had a midnight check in she had the lights on and the house open. The only comment I have is that the third bedroom is not a private space. It is a futon in the downstairs common area. This worked fine for my family but just something to note. There were 2 private bedrooms and 2 full baths with the additional futon mentioned above and possible additional sleeping room on the sun porch off the master. Overall it was a great getaway, the house was as advertised, and Encinitas was a funky laid back town.

Great walking location, wonderful communication with the property owner throughout our stay. 3 blocks to beach with stairs. But only one more block to access beach with an easy ramp. Great for families!

Location, location, location!!!

Thule, owner, has the house supplied with everything you need. Nice to have a garage for one vehicle and a two car driveway. The best part though was the location, a short block or so to restaurants, bars, and shops in town. Moonlight beach was only about a 3-4 block drive. Had a great week from 8-22 to 8-29-20.

Great stay in Encinitas

The home was just as beautiful as the pictures in the listing. Very clean and all the amenities you could possibly need. Great location being just a few blocks from the beach and a short walk to restaurants and shops in town. Nice patio area out front to relax and enjoy the weather. Our family would absolutely stay here again on our next visit to Encinitas!

Great family house in prime Encinitas location

We recently spent 4 nights in this well appointed Encinitas property. The house has a great layout with lots of natural light and easy parking. The location is perfect for walking to local shops, restaurants and the gorgeous coastline. We hope to visit again!

Great Location

We loved our stay in Encinitas! This property is in a great location, close to the beach and close to restaurants and fun Encinitas.. The house was very clean and it was easy to communicate and work with Thule. Couldn't have been a better experience. We hope to go back soon!

Close to beach, town and the emergency room

This property is perfectly located close to Moonlight Beach, downtown Encinitas and an excellent urgent care center. We needed the urgent care center to treat my wifeā€™s toe which was broken by a dangerous protrusion on the bed frame. Yes, the owner warned of the danger in the multi-page house rules provided to us. But that was of little practical value at 3 am when getting up in a darkened, unfamiliar room to use the bathroom. The foot of the bed sticks out approx. 6 inches from the mattress/frame resulting in a very narrow passage which clearly is a known problemā€”hence the warning in the house rules. We also discovered an ant infestation in the kitchen upon waking up on our first morning. I texted the owner who suggested we were somehow at fault since she claimed there were no ants the previous day. Her advice was to use the powerful insecticide under the kitchen sink. The house itself is a quaint and quirky beach cottage but note it is does not have three bedrooms as advertised. There are two bedrooms and an area between the downstairs second bedroom and the laundry room equipped with a bed. Anyone in that bed would be affected by the garage door opening or someone in the second bedroom walking through the area to use the bathroom.

Great family-friendly house in a fun beach town

Thuleā€™s home was the perfect place for our family of 7 to stay for a beach vacation! The property was very clean and had everything we thought we would need and more. Itā€™s about 3 blocks from the nearest beach entrance (at the end of D street), which was about a 10 minute walk for our young kids. There were plenty of beach toys, blankets, and towels, and the rain shower on the side of the house made it super easy to clean off after a day at the beach. Thule was an excellent host and always responded very quickly when we had questions, but never interfered with our fun.

Perfect house for family beach fun

We stayed over Fourth of July week and loved this house. Short walk to shops in town and only a few blocks from the beach. The house is stocked with Schwinn bikes, scooters, Strollers, umbrellas, towels and beach blankets. Everything you could think of. The house was clean and quiet. I really have nothing but good things to say about our entire experience. The property owner is very sweet and accommodating.

Awesome home in Encinitas!

My friends and I stayed at Thule's home right in the center of Encinitas. The location was excellent, an easy walk to both Moonlight Beach and to Swami's Beach, with plenty of restaurants and stores very nearby. We didn't need a car, just used ride share to and from the airport, an easy 1/2 drive away. The home was fantastic: clean, all the amenities, plenty of beds, even surfboards, boogie boards, and bikes with helmets and a bike pump...Thule has thought of everything! I plan to return with my family as Thule's home is perfectly equipped for families with kids of all ages. As fantastic as the house was, Thule's responsiveness and service were even better. She arranged with a local surfboard delivery company to drop off some extra boards in the garage at her home the night before we arrived so that all of us had boards when we arrived; we simply dropped off our bags, suited up, and paddled out. Nothing better than getting off the plane and into some waves! I felt that Thule repeatedly went out of her way to make sure that her guests were well taken care of and could maximize our vacation time. Thanks Thule! I'll be back with my family!

Great home for a family, and perfect location!

We really enjoyed our stay in this home. We could walk to everything, and the house came stocked with a lot of extra goodies to use, such as a pack n play, bikes, beach toys, cooler, etc. I noticed some past reviews about no AC, but there is split system ACs in every room which was needed during the chilly days in February, and would work great in the hot summer months to cool the house down. The owner also went out of her way to make sure we got in okay and had everything we needed. I arrived after 10pm with my 11mo daughter, and the owner texted to make sure we got in and had everything we needed, which was so comforting after traveling for so long with a baby! Thank you Thule for everything!

The photos oversold a bit.

Iā€™ve stayed at many vacation rentals over the years and you can gauge the quality of a property based on two things: the knives in the block and the pots and pans in the cupboards. This place was, needless to say, underwhelming. That said, the beds were fine and there was plenty of places to park. The location is very central which was nice. All in, it was okay but not great. If youā€™re looking for ā€˜valueā€™ in Encinitas this is a solid C+ to B-. The photos make it look like a hidden gem, and the property doesnā€™t quite deliver. It wonā€™t take much to get there and I hope the owner takes those last few steps to deliver on this propertyā€™s potential.

Perfect Location!

Thank you so much for sharing your beach house with us! It was very comfortable and was very well equipped with every thing you need! Perfect location for walking to the beach and restaurants and sunsets! Also the brand new air conditioners were greatly appreciated seeing that we were here in a very warm August!! Raised in Glendale Calif and moved to San Diego to attend SDSU. I love living in San Diego.
I have travelled extensively all over the world but I always love to come back to Encinitas. I spent most of my time in Manhattan Beach , Hawaii and Italy.

I was very fortunate to have purchased this house. I have lived in La Jolla and Del Mar in the past but I have to say that Encinitas is my favorite town. While living in Del Mar, I would drive up to Encinitas after work and on the weekends to find a home. It took me 2 1/2 years until I found this home.

This is my private residence when I come back to Encinitas. I'm very happy to be able to share with you my home. I would want you to experience my life in Encinitas.
Living in this house, I don't need to drive once I'm home. I can walk to Lazy Acres for groceries, dine at Il Truli, 3rd Corner, Solace, Union, Encinitas Ale House, Qero, Roxy, Encinitas Cafe, and many more.
For music and dancing my friends and I would walk to The Saloon, The Shelter, First St Bar and Grill, Union, or Le Papagayo.
My friends love to visit and stay over for the weekends because it's such a fun and quaint town.

Encinitas is a very quaint town. There are so many choices of restaurants, bars and beaches within walking distance.
I love the beaches and spend a lot of time running, walking and biking along the beach.
If you love to surf, this is the place to stay. I have surfboards and boogie boards in the garage.
You can walk to Lazy Acres, Smart and Finals, YMCA, Cross Fit, Yoga studios, hair/nail salons, restaurants, bars, library, parks, beach, movie theater, and Self Realization Center.
Your neighbors on both sides of the house are very friendly and have been living there for decades.
Most great restaurant chefs have discovered Encinitas as their next ventures. So I hope by the time you get here to vacation, there will be few new restaurants opening up within walking distance to my house.

The house has so many big windows and it's so cheery and bright. But the best part is that even with all the windows, you can choose to be very private and pull down the honeycombed shades. Because the house has high vaulted ceilings, you will feel very spacious as you enter the front door.
Since the house sits very high from street level, you can be home and people can't see in. I love this privacy.
You can relax reading in the front yard or the private side yard. I practice yoga in the sunroom and you can too.
The cool part about this house is that it sits across from the two famous boathouses. Many tourists come to take pictures of these boathouses.
If you exit throughout the front door, you reach the beach. But if you exit through the garage then you reach the town in less than one minute.
