Communication with the host was very good. The house was great for a sibling reunion. We all had a great time catching up with each other.

The property was very clean and in great condition. The view of the lake is fantastic and the resources (kitchen, bathrooms, activities, etc.) were all great. Host was easy to communicate with and made check-in and checkout very easy. Space was perfect for our trip and is only 20-30 minutes from some of the best golf courses in the state of Minnesota and the nation as a whole.

We greatly enjoyed our stay! The cabin was clean and well stocked, with lots of amenities offered. The property manager was easy to get ahold of and was quick to answer questions. We would certainly stay here again!

This property was absolutely beautiful. The communication with the host was very good. We needed to text him a couple of things and the response was immediate! The house was very clean and stocked with everything you would ever need. Everything was clearly labeled so there no question what it was used for. From the remotes to all of the light switches. The outside was just as beautiful as the inside. Very nice landscaping and beautiful views. Had a eagle fly by a couple times to tell us hello. If you are looking for a great place to take your family, this is it!!

Our family of 14 loved this house and all the amenities! The lake was very low which allowed the grandkids to wade out really far. The kayaks and paddle board were good quality and used a lot! The lower level game area and wet bar were also point on. Beautiful landscaping and outdoor areas as well. Looking forward to our next time there!

The most thoughtfully furnished VRBO we’ve ever stayed in! Clean as a whistle, too. We had a great stay! Plenty of trailer parking for all of our snowmobile trucks and trailers…and right on the trail!!

We are very happy to hear everything went soo well! Yes, we believe we have one of the best set up rentals in the area for snowmobiles. Our location and set up is prefect for folks coming up to snowmobile, ice fish, or go skying etc. Thanks for staying with us! We hope you come back next year!

The host was very helpful through out our stay. Any questions I had were answered in a timely manner and was able to set me at ease. Was a lovely house on the lake. Looking forward from rent from them in the future!!!

Gorgeous property! We had a great weekend getaway here. Everyone had so much fun even in the off season. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed! Tons of fun activities, clean, and amazing communication. Once you book there were super awesome videos to reference and aquaint you with the property! Despite our cold temps, we still used the grill and amazing outdoor space with a beautiful sunset. Everyone in our party highly recommends this property!

Great long weekend with the whole family

Loved having the large open great room that opened onto the deck and overlooked the lake. The flat area in the yard worked really well for volleyball (which we all love). And the lake was great for cruising and tubing!

This was our second year at The Lakeside and it was another great year. The great room overlooking the lake is really fantastic and big enough our 13-person group can hang out comfortably which is hard to find. The host is helpful and responsive and the cabin matches the listing. We had a snafu with the smoke alarm going off one night for no apparent reason but it stopped shortly after and the host quickly got someone heading out to take a look. No stay is ever going to be flawless but a responsive host helps make you feel comfortable and taken care of. Perhaps our biggest drawback isn’t within the control of the owner and host. The lake is really shallow out from of the cabin which makes it impossible to pull our boat in to the dock. It would be an amazing place for playing in the water especially with smaller kids. But for boats it’s not the best setup. The lake itself is fine for boating and tubing, just too shallow on the end of the lake this cabin is on. Too bad because the rest of it is pretty fantastic.

Lakes throughout the area are currently experiencing historically low water levels—some of the lowest we’ve seen in roughly 30 years. We’re certainly hoping for plenty of snow this winter and more rainfall next season to help bring the lake back to its normal level. An incredible property! Not only is the space beautiful, full of light and a perfect get away that can house many, it has every amenity you could desire. Communication was also seamless and friendly! A all around! We had four families stay for a winter wonderland vacation. Skated on the ice, cozied up by the fire, cooked and ate together and played games, pool and darts downstairs. A great place for families and friends to gather!

Excellent host. Replied promptly as needed. Lots of information and videos before arrival. Beautiful newer lake home. Plenty of amenities. 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms worked out great. Walked on the Paul Bunyan Trial right outside the door. Fantastic kitchen. Watched movies and the Winter Olympics on big screen TVs. Enjoyed the large deck, and the firepit outside. Might return next year. Thanks Mike for all your work in making this another great winter Getaway.

Beautiful property. Grandkids especially enjoyed the beach and shallow water. Caught lots of smaller fish. Loved the location and activities nearby. Mike was easy to reach and readily available. Check in was extremely easy and the home layout was great for 12 people. Bedrooms were very nice and comfortable. Kitchen was excellent. The island gave us lots of space for preparation. Downstairs refrigerator was a wonderful addition for beverages.

We stayed at this location for 3 nights over Labor Day weekend and honestly this was the best we have been to.The property itself is beautiful…extremely high quality inside & outside, and every little detail was thought through. The night lights on the stairs were such a nice touch, there was even a clock projected on the ceiling. Tons of games to keep us busy too…croquet, pool table, bean bag toss, darts. Kayaks were ready to go along with lots of life jackets which made it super easy to enjoy the lake.The location couldn’t be better. It is right on a gorgeous lake, literally steps from the Paul Bunyan trail, and even a hiking spot just by the house. Having a grocery store and gas station close by was really handy.We were a group of 8 and there was more than enough space. Loved the heated garage and the overall attention to detail. The host was quick to respond but honestly we didn’t even need to ask many questions since everything was so well set up.

The place is new as of last year. It is absolutely spectacular. It has everything you need is available. Host reached out a few times to ask if we needed anything. Lots of games to play indoors and out. Pool table was fun and also video game console too. It across from Paul Bunyan trail. If you stay there, take care of it for next group staying there. Highly recommend!

Stay here. It’ll exceed even the pickiest person’s expectations. Very well equipped, easy to spread out between lake, firepit, downstairs wet bar/game area, ping pong in garage, others walking the many miles long trail. Would have loved it if we had bikes, but we also needed at least a full week to be able to take advantage of all the fun to be had. Peaceful, awesome, will be back!

This place was top notch! Seriously has everything you could need! The only downside was that there was not a designated fish cleaning station but there was a table in the garage we used. Also all the kids got swimmer's itch. I contacted the host and they said they would get it treated! The lake is very shallow up by the house but it was so clear. We loved it so much we booked for next year!

Tanya, thank you for staying with us! Yes, the swimmers itch is completely random, unpredictable, and is even effected by the direction of the wind; however, we get a DNR permit and treat immediately if any every pops up. We would love for you to come back next year as well if it works for you.
