Lazybear Lodge offers luxurious living with amazing views, personal touches, and sleeps up to 24. We designed Lazybear to retreat for family and friends, with a touch of tropical-disco glamour. 🐕🦺 Bring your Dog! We wouldn’t leave ours behind either!

• Wide, paved roads and spacious parking. No steep climbs or tight turns.
• Walk to Angel’s View Wedding Chapel or

2 queen beds in the loft
4 queen sleeper sofas — located in the living room, loft, and theater room
Each bedroom has a flat-screen Roku TV, and 5 offer ensuite bathrooms. One king suite features a private balcony. The main-floor suite has a luxurious (no-step) massage shower. Whether you're turning in early or sleeping in late, there’s a cozy corner for everyone.
The Kitchen:
Fully stocked for real meals, not just takeout and coffee. Plenty of cookware, glassware, and kid-friendly plates and utensils. Granite counters, tons of prep space, and everything from a crockpot pancake griddles. Our coffee station has a pod-style and drip coffee maker.
Our gas grill on the back deck comes with complimentary propane and a great view.
The Living Room
The living room is built for downtime—with a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, large-screen Roku TV, leather couches, and room to stretch out after a day of adventuring. Watch a movie, play a board game, or just unwind while dinner sizzles in the kitchen nearby.
Play & Chill Spaces:
Lazy Bear Beach Lounge is where Lazy Bear goes to party and relax. Sip a mojito under our thatched roof “beach bar”, dance under the disco ball, Lounge in front of our hand-painted mural, or sink a shot on our pool table. The cabin also packs a 4 arcade units, foosball, and a wet bar ready for your best cocktail flair. Head upstairs when you’re craving a little extra competition—the air-hockey table and Golden Tee arcade sit in the open loft so everyone can cheer (or heckle) from below.
100-Inch Cinema.
When it is time to just sit back, pile into the bean-bag pit and fire up the old-time popcorn machine, and settle in with the 100-inch surround-sound theater for movies, game day, or late-night karaoke videos.
Mountain Views, Morning to Night:
Step onto any of the three levels of decks and take in the ridge views. The decks are lined with rocking Adirondack chairs, and the private hot tub is ready for a long soak as the sun sets behind the Smokies. One king bedroom has its own private deck—perfect for a quiet moment away from the group.
Bathrooms & Laundry:
With six full bathrooms - five with tubs and one with a jetted shower - there’s no waiting in line here. Every bathroom has A+ water pressure, and is stocked with shampoo, body wash, and a hair dryer, plus plenty of towels for your group. You’ll also find a washer and dryer on the second floor.
ACCESS DETAILS:
► Check in at 4PM, Check out at 10 AM.
► Keyless Entry: Guests will receive a personalized door code three days before check-in.
► Roads: This home is a great choice if you're concerned about how you'll get to the cabin. Wide roads to our cabin are all paved and not steep.
► Private Parking: The driveway is relatively flat and holds 5 cars comfortably. Lowered cars may have difficulty at the end of the driveway
► Cell service can be spotty in this region, we recommend you download the maps of the area for offline use prior to travel.
► Accessibility: The cabin is quite good for those with limited mobility. There is a ramp from the driveway to access the main level. The main floor king bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with no steps into the shower. This level also includes the living room, kitchen, game room and outdoor lounge and deck.
IMPORTANT RULES:
► Booking Requirements: Must be 24 or older to book, sign rental agreement and schedule security deposit hold within 48 hrs of booking.
► Pets: We are pet friendly! Dogs only, sorry, no puppies, cats, goats (yes, we’ve been asked). $150.00 per-dog fee up to two dogs. Please ask if you’d like to bring more than two dogs. Pet addendum must be signed within 24 hours of booking. Pets are not allowed on furniture. Any damage to the furniture or excess cleaning due to pets will be subject to a minimum of $500 charge plus damages and cleaning fee. Please be responsible for your pets. Violations may result in eviction and forfeiture of the security hold. Questions before you book? Message us! We’re happy to help confirm fit.
► Service Animals- For service animals, we verify using the FAA service animal form. Service Animals may not be left unattended in the home.
► NO SMOKING. There is no smoking in the house. We reserve the right to evict any group with guests found smoking in the house, and to retain the security hold for cleaning expenses if the cabin smells like cigarette smoke.
SOME THINGS TO NOTE:
►Owner-managed means direct attention when you need it, not handoffs or call centers. We offer fast help, local tips, and the kind of attention that will help make your vacation unforgettable.
► Special Occasion: Let us know so we can help make it perfect!
► Cleaning Practices: We have one of the best cleaning teams in the Smoky Mountains. The cabin is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before every guest checks in. Surfaces are disinfected, bedding is changed and washed, and the hot tub is emptied, cleaned and refilled.
► View: Step onto any of the three stacked decks and watch morning fog snake through the ridgelines as the sun sets behind the Smokies. The views are beautifully framed by trees with rolling ridges in the distance — cozy and scenic, not sweeping and exposed. Perfect for soaking in the hot tub with the mountains as your backdrop.
► Roof: If a squirrel crawls on the metal roof or if it is raining, you will hear it, no need to be alarmed.
► Bugs: We have a regular pest control program, however, the cabin is in the forest and can have some pests (insects). While the trees sit back from the house quite a bit, it is possible to get 4-6-8 legged or winged visitors both outside and inside. This cannot be 100% prevented. *We do not refund for issues with bugs or forest creatures.*
► Animals: There are bears, coyotes, deer, squirrels, owls and other animals in the area, & often on the property. Be still and you might see them. When staying at the cabin, never leave food items in the vehicles, never leave food, leftovers, or trash outside. Trash should be bagged & locked in bear-resistant trash containers (provided).
► Security Camera: There are exterior security cameras (pointed away from the cabin) for everyone’s protection. Any group touching or tampering with the cameras will be asked to leave the property immediately and will forfeit their security hold and remaining rent payment.
► No refunds for weather/natural disasters/power outages/other things that are beyond the host's control. It is HIGHLY recommended to purchase your own travel insurance.
► Excessive cleaning — $300: We rarely need this, but if checkout steps aren’t followed (bag trash, run dishwasher, clean/put away pots & pans, leave grill reasonably clean), and the cabin is left extremely dirty, we may charge $300 against the security hold.

Sobre o anfitrião
Anfitrião: David
We’re David & Holly.
We started hosting because we genuinely love bringing people together – big family trips, milestone birthdays, wedding weekends, long-overdue reunions. We’ve been the ones organizing those trips ourselves, and we know how much pressure falls on the person who books the house.
Before opening our cabins to guests, we actually lived in them while renovating. Every layout choice, kitchen detail, and gathering space was shaped by real life, by cooking big meals, hosting friends, figuring out where people naturally gather and where they need privacy.
We’re both musicians who recharge in the mountains. David grew up hiking and lake-swimming in Minnesota; Holly grew up exploring the Adirondacks. We’ve lived all over the country (even in Rio for a while) but we fell hard for the Smokies. There’s something about the light in the mornings and the quiet after sunset that feels grounding and generous.
So we built the kind of cabins we always wished existed:
Spacious but comfortable.
Private enough for everyone to breathe.
Designed for real cooking, real gathering, and real downtime.
We’re hands-on owners, not a national management company. When you message, it’s us. When something needs attention, we handle it directly. We care about communication, follow-through, and making sure your stay feels smooth from booking to checkout.
Hosting isn’t passive for us. It’s intentional.
If you’re planning something that matters, we’d love to help you do it well.
