Enjoy a unique experience by staying in our yurt on a quiet ranch.

Never been in a yurt? It is a tent-like circular fabric structure with a wood lattice frame. Our yurt has comfortable furnishings such as a queen bed with linens, a propane free standing stove, electric lighting, 32' flat screen HD tv, fully equipped kitchen (including oven, microwave, refrigerator, plates, pots, etc.) and a bathroom with a shower. There are several fans (overhead and free standing oscillating) along with a window air conditioner unit. The floors are polished pine wood with French doors that open to a deck with meadow and forested views.

Leave your worries at home as this is a place to come and unwind.
Near hiking, lakes, restaurants, quaint downtown, and historic gold mines.

This yurt is non-smoking.

The property was easy to get through, a good location, a short drive from Grass Valley, clean, spacious. Overall, I could not imagine a better place to stay. Host was very communicative and helpful and helped me work through a VRBO bug where the VRBO was confirming different dates. Thanks for helping and hanging in there. Will certainly stay here again when I'm in the area.

We can't wait to return. The pictures totally did not come close to doing this stay justice. Fantastic hosts and place!

This is our third time staying at this wonderful and relaxing yurt. The hosts (Jeanette and Michael) are the most warm and gracious hosts. We were greeted with a delicious peach cobbler and fresh coffee. Thank you for making our Anniversary memorable, once again.

Wonderful! Both Jeanette and Mike are gracious hosts and made sure we felt welcome and comfortable.The yurt was clean, well furnished, with all the amenities, and frankly a kind of phenomenon in itself.My wife and I are convinced that weā€™ll be setting up one ourselves someday.The location, on an old Christmas tree farm, is magical. All the trees, of many species, that would have been cut were allowed to grow up and shade the hillside where the unit sits.Out of the way and quiet, yet minutes from town and everything you need and want to see.We plan to return often.

Jeanette and Mike are such nice people. They were wonderful and friendly hosts. The Yurt is beautifully set in the trees and waking to the songbirds in the morning was almost better than the comfy bed. Would definitely recommend!

A wholesome trip

It was an amazing stay at the Yurt hosted by Jeanette and Mike. We were greeted by the hosts and their super friendly dog (Chino) with the tour of the property and one of the best apple pies Iā€™ve had in my life ( She was also gracious enough to share the recipe) They were very hospitable and helped in the communication with the Vrbo team because of a glitch. Their property reminded me of my childhood spent with family in my coffee estate back in India. I would definitely visit again for a longer stay. Thanks again guys !!

Cozy and Private, Nestled in the Trees

The yurt has everything you need, and it's in a beautiful location just 10 minutes from GV or NC. The hosts were friendly, welcoming and accommodating, and the alpacas were nice too. The best was to wake up in the comfortable bed to the sound of so much birdsong! We loved it and will definitely go back!

Best Vrbo experience

As many other reviewers have commented, staying at the Yurt was a terrific experience. It's cozy and clean and it's in a lovely, peaceful setting. The owners, Jeanette and Michael are very congenial and they go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need to have an enjoyable experience. The yurt will be our first choice of where to stay in the Grass Valley area.

Fell in love with a yurt

The accommodations were perfect as was the lovely, private property, the owners were so friendly and welcoming and we enjoyed the surroundings including short drives to water, a state park, downtown Grass Valley and dining and dessert gems. What a find, and we would recommend!

Exceeded Expectations!

The host and hostess were very gracious and welcoming (as was their dog and his girlfriend.) The accommodations were first rate and the atmosphere was relaxing. The next time I visit the area I will check to see if this is available first.

We had an amazing stay at Jeanette and Michaelā€™s place! They were both so kind and welcoming. Jeanette left us cookies when we checked in and introduced us to the alpacas! The yurt is gorgeous, clean, and fully stocked. We will definitely rebook and you should too! Thank you for a great stay!!
