Yurt Located in a Quiet Ranch Area

Enjoy a unique experience by staying in our yurt on a quiet ranch.

Never been in a yurt? It is a tent-like circular fabric structure with a wood lattice frame. Our yurt has comfortable furnishings such as a queen bed with linens, a propane free standing stove, electric lighting, 32' flat screen HD tv, fully equipped kitchen (including oven, microwave, refrigerator, plates, pots, etc.) and a bathroom with a shower. There are several fans (overhead and free standing oscillating) along with a window air conditioner unit. The floors are polished pine wood with French doors that open to a deck with meadow and forested views.

Leave your worries at home as this is a place to come and unwind.
Near hiking, lakes, restaurants, quaint downtown, and historic gold mines.

This yurt is non-smoking.

The yurt is quiet and comfortable. Perfect for a couple wanting to get away from city life. Hostess met us at the door and made us feel welcomed. Definately return destination.

Wonderful! Both Jeanette and Mike are gracious hosts and made sure we felt welcome and comfortable.The yurt was clean, well furnished, with all the amenities, and frankly a kind of phenomenon in itself.My wife and I are convinced that we’ll be setting up one ourselves someday.The location, on an old Christmas tree farm, is magical. All the trees, of many species, that would have been cut were allowed to grow up and shade the hillside where the unit sits.Out of the way and quiet, yet minutes from town and everything you need and want to see.We plan to return often.

The property was easy to get through, a good location, a short drive from Grass Valley, clean, spacious. Overall, I could not imagine a better place to stay. Host was very communicative and helpful and helped me work through a VRBO bug where the VRBO was confirming different dates. Thanks for helping and hanging in there. Will certainly stay here again when I'm in the area.

A wholesome trip

It was an amazing stay at the Yurt hosted by Jeanette and Mike. We were greeted by the hosts and their super friendly dog (Chino) with the tour of the property and one of the best apple pies I’ve had in my life ( She was also gracious enough to share the recipe) They were very hospitable and helped in the communication with the Vrbo team because of a glitch. Their property reminded me of my childhood spent with family in my coffee estate back in India. I would definitely visit again for a longer stay. Thanks again guys !!

We can't wait to return. The pictures totally did not come close to doing this stay justice. The sound of the birds, lush green everywhere, combined with the relaxing atmosphere of the yurt (super clean!) made for an amazing weekend. The perfect spot and country area to RELAX, listen to the birds sing and breath away the stress!Unique and special Yurt indeed with efficient amenities, built up solid and lovely beyond what you'd expect! Fantastic hosts and place!

This is our third time staying at this wonderful and relaxing yurt. The hosts (Jeanette and Michael) are the most warm and gracious hosts. We were greeted with a delicious peach cobbler and fresh coffee. Thank you for making our Anniversary memorable, once again.

Delightful!

The yurt was quiet and beautiful and had all the features and amenities you could want. Michael and Jeanette were wonderful hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. We had an excellentl nights sleep and will be returning on our next visit.

Quiet Yurt on a Gorgeous Property

Jeanette and her Husband we're the most warm and welcoming hosts. We only had a night to spend and arrived late, but they we're still there to show us everything about the Yurt and get us properly checked in. We had the most restful night of our whole week long trip in this Yurt. We plan to come back and spend more time, it's too beautiful not to! We

Best Vrbo experience

As many other reviewers have commented, staying at the Yurt was a terrific experience. It's cozy and clean and it's in a lovely, peaceful setting. The owners, Jeanette and Michael are very congenial and they go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need to have an enjoyable experience. The yurt will be our first choice of where to stay in the Grass Valley area.

A cozy stay with friends

We had a wonderful stay at Jeanette and Mike’s property! It honestly felt like we were just staying with family friends on a beautiful ranch. Jeanette gave me a tour of the yurt and property and made sure I tools to help protect against the mosquitoes. She was communicative throughout our stay and said to reach out if we needed anything which made us feel right at home. While they sadly no longer have their alpacas, we got to meet and visit with their new puppy who was too sweet! Really the only thing we had trouble with was getting the WiFi to work as the yurt is slightly to far from the main home to get good signal and our phones didn’t have great signal in the area either (we have T-Mobile), but honestly it was nice to be off the grid and if I really needed signal I just took a short walk and it worked fine. The yurt was super cozy (especially since we were there during a storm and had the fire going) and the kitchen and bathroom were stocked well. We definitely look forward to visiting this property again in the future! Thank you Jeanette & Mike!

Cozy and Private, Nestled in the Trees

The yurt has everything you need, and it's in a beautiful location just 10 minutes from GV or NC. The hosts were friendly, welcoming and accommodating, and the alpacas were nice too. The best was to wake up in the comfortable bed to the sound of so much birdsong! We loved it and will definitely go back!

Cozy in the Woods

Perfect and private yurt in the woods with a gas fireplace, plenty of blankets, roomy bathroom and a freshly baked apple crisp in the refrigerator. The hosts, Michael and Jeanette, seemed like old friends. As did the pup and the alpacas, who loved the pellets we fed by hand.

Cozy & comfy Yurt in a beautiful area

We had a great overnight in this immaculate, warm and well stocked yurt. It feels even better than glamping, just like a little cottage with beautiful views and just up a little hill from adorable alpacas. The owners Jeanette and Michael are super kind, communicative and right next door if needed. Their goldendoodle came around and was super cute too! Hope to return again!
