Discovering Sesimbra is falling in love with a place where the sea, the hills, and tradition live in perfect harmony. Just south of Lisbon, this charming fishing town has a calm, authentic energy that makes you instantly feel at home.

The beaches are some of the most beautiful in Portugal. Praia da Califórnia and Praia do Ouro have calm, crystal-clear waters — perfect for swimming or long, barefoot walks by the sea. For those who love adventure, Ribeira do Cavalo is a hidden beach that looks straight out of a travel magazine, with turquoise waters and dramatic cliffs (you can hike down or go by boat). Just nearby, the Arrábida Natural Park offers stunning trails, secret coves, and unforgettable views over the Atlantic.

At the top of the village, you’ll find the Castle of Sesimbra — which you can see perfectly from the Villa — with sweeping views over the ocean and the town — a magical place to watch the sunset. Down by the water, the Fortress of Santiago holds exhibitions and adds a historical charm to the seafront. The old town streets are narrow and full of character, with traditional tile façades, cobblestones, and local shops.

Sesimbra is also a seafood lover’s paradise. From grilled fish to rich seafood stews and cuttlefish rice, the flavours of the Atlantic are always on the table. I recommend places like O Zagaia, Casa Mateus, or Ribamar for a true taste of the region.

For the active ones, there’s boating, diving, dolphin watching, kayaking, and even paragliding. And if you love wine, you’re close to the Setúbal wine region, where you can taste the iconic Moscatel de Setúbal.

Whether you come to relax, explore, or simply enjoy good food in beautiful surroundings, Sesimbra is the kind of place where memories are made.

Every detail has been thoughtfully curated, from the finest linens and softest towels to the lush gardens, the fragrant flowers, the perfect lawn, and the elegant, sun-filled spaces made for relaxing, sharing meals, and making memories.

Outdoors, enjoy a private tennis court with professional lighting for night matches, a pond with a charming bridge, a huge porch with a dining and lounge area, a cinema-style TV screen, and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen with its own supporting bathroom. There’s also a pool with sunbeds and parasols, a small soccer field, and a shaded porch nook ideal for snacks or light meals al fresco.

Inside, the villa has three floors:
• On the ground floor, you’ll find a huge living room with floor-to-ceiling windows, a fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, a breakfast area, a guest bathroom, and a dining area with a table for 10, also with panoramic windows.
• The first floor features two master bedrooms, both with ensuite bathrooms and wardrobes.
• On the top floor, there’s a double bedroom, a bedroom with two bunk beds, a spacious bathroom, and a cosy lounge with a TV, DVDs, and plenty of board games.

There’s also a game room with a pool table, foosball (matraquilhos), and a small bar — perfect for relaxed evenings.

A daily housekeeper is included from 8am–3pm to prepare and serve breakfast, set up the pool area, tidy the rooms, and refresh towels. Extra hours are available upon request (€15/h).

Guests have full access to the villa, except the laundry room, which is reserved for staff and remains closed.
