Come visit Hanford & Hinds Cottage!
Hanford & Hinds Cottage was built in 1916. It sits in the desirable Belvidere neighborhood of West Seattle. 25 minutes to downtown Seattle and 20 minutes to the airport.
.
The Cottage has everything you'll need and more! Linens, towels, plates, utensils, pots & pans. Off street parking in a 2 car driveway. Internet/firestick/DVD player. Not sure what you want to do? We have maps and books of the area for visitors.
The main cottage is a two bedroom home with a King bed and a second bedroom with 2 twin futons.
The bathroom features a heated tile floor, tub and shower.
The living room offers a cozy place to relax, with a gas fireplace, reading lights, and a flat screen TV. Our large kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and cookware.
The backyard hosts a cafe table with sun-umbrella, a gas fire pit, a gas BBQ. A shed stocked with bicycles, tennis rackets, beach towels and umbrella.

West Seattle has many venues to enjoy including stunning views of the city and the Olympic Mountains. sandy Alki Beach, The Junction Town Center which features some of the best restaurants, coffee shops, antique stores, bike shops and destinations of delight...too many to list all here. Find a list of our favorite spots in the welcome book on the cottage entry table. Metropolitan Market (a wonderful European 'experience'), PCC Market, Safeway, Starbucks, Trader Joe's are all grocery stores within walking distance. Enjoy a flick at historic Admiral Movie Theater. In addition there are also dozens of popular restaurants nearby to choose from.

Hiawatha park is 2 blocks away if you feel like jogging, playing tennis (rackets provided in shed) going to the kiddie park or wading pool. We have 4 adult bikes and helmets for your use, as well as beach supplies, and tennis rackets and balls! A short drive away, Coleman pool offers a unique outdoor saltwater pool that sits on the scenic shores of Lincoln Park overlooking the Sound. The Admiral Viewpoint boasts one of the best vistas of downtown Seattle and is a 5 minute walk away from the cottage.

Come enjoy one of the longest established communities of Seattle!
West Seattle is one of the true gems-of the northwest!

Love this place!

Cozy and so comfy

Our stay at this bungalow was great in so many ways: the cottage itself was cozy and comfortable, appointed and decorated more like a real home, not a temporary one; the neighborhood was quiet, but within easy walking distance of shops, grocery stores and restaurants (check out Circa, it’s great!); and Lori was a wonderful host, easy to communicate with and very accommodating. We’re already looking forward to a return visit!

Felt right at home

Cutest place ever! And so clean..we loved our stay here from the comfy beds to the delicious fresh herbs growing in the garden to the well equipped kitchen. Everything you could possibly need was there. Even some of our favorite games that we played in the evening.

I don't want to lave a review because I want to keep this property a secret. I loved this house, It was so cute. The neighborhood is quiet. The house location is easy to get to from the highway. We were not far from shopping, Trader Joes, and Alki Beach. I would stay here again.

Lori was wonderful to work with. She was incredibly accommodating!

The home literally had everything you could possibly need to have an enjoyable stay. Private backyard, grill, hot tub, cozy cottage. Kitchen with all the supplies ! And various coffee options for even the snobbiest of Seattle coffee drinkers :). Just perfect !

Great spot in West Seattle

Had a great visit in West Seattle and this house was a perfect set up for us (3 adults). Well maintained and appointed. Plenty of extras (hot tub, gas fire pit) private getaway on a quiet residential street. Easy to walk to restaurants and grocery stores. Water taxi to downtown Seattle was a bit of a hoof but very doable.

Great house, perfect location

We we're more than pleased when we arrived. The house is great. Well appointed, everything we needed. The house is 15 minutes to downtown. 15 minutes to the airport. Restaurants and store are a short walk away through the park. We will rent again if available on our next visit.

Charming Cottage, Great Location

Wonderful stay! Lori was very responsive and even had a brand new gas grill dropped off to replace one that had broken when I asked about it. Clean, comfortable, plenty of room in the house. Amenities are awesome and we enjoyed the hot tub in the cool mornings. Nice neighborhood for walk any time of day and within walking distance of waterfront, nice restaurants, stores, etc. I have nothing negative to say and highly recommend the property.

Summer in West Seattle

We loved this property. Had everything that we could possibly need during our stay. Close to California Ave and fairly easy to get into Seattle during non-rush hours. The beds were comfortable and the hot tub was a plus. The back yard area was secluded and very nice for sitting out. The AC was a portable unit, not central, but was mostly comfortable even with temps in 80's. Had a wonderful time.

My grandparents moved to West Seattle in 1948...so I have roots that go way back. Alki beach was my playground and my sons grew up here as well.
The Junction, as we locals call it, has wonderful shops and restaurants as well as a fantastic farmers market.

Location location location! A great place for a family vacation or a romantic getaway. Situated in a quiet and safe neighborhood, yet minutes to Safeco Field, Century Link Field, the waterfront and downtown via the water taxi!

The benefit of the West Seattle neighborhood is all round you. Beaches, bike paths, parks, views, golf courses, YMCA, gyms, yoga studios, coffee shops, tennis courts, day spas, farmers market, street fairs, shopping.
4 bicycles at the cottage for your use, along with helmets and a bike lock.
Tennis rackets and balls too.

Guests comment how inviting the cottage is...homey with those extra touches that make a visit here a relaxing getaway!
