SIMONS VACATION HOME The Osprey Nest is a luxury St. Simons Island vacation rental with 2 full kitchens, a heated and cooled pool, a private dock, and unobstructed views across one of the island’s most historic stretches of marsh. A private elevator connects three wings, seven bedrooms, and six world-class full baths. This home was built for generations to gather, celebrate, and return having known the quiet extravagance as found within the pages of The Great Gatsby.
This isn’t merely a beach house—it’s a home of timeless wonder. The kind of place that feels discovered rather than designed. Where each room carries its own memory, and no two moments feel the same.
The kitchens, two full plus an additional summer kitchen, are meant to be lived in, but they are unapologetically over the top. They've been the backdrop of banquets, solitary breakfasts, and everything in between. The bedrooms are spread across three private wings and 6,000 square feet. You're given the freedom to disappear just long enough to find yourself.
And the baths? They are something else entirely. Unlike any other you will find. No two alike, yet each belonging only here. Each one a world unto itself.
Out back, the private dock stretches toward the Bloody Marsh Battlefield, part of the Fort Frederica National Monument. The view is protected, permanent, unobstructed, and entirely your own. You'll see no neighbors, just the tide bringing in the native wildlife of coastal Georgia’s marsh.
And when you do go out, the best of St. Simons Island is mere minutes away. The beach is less than a mile. Ocean Motion rents bikes just around the corner. Dinner at Delaney’s is extraordinary. You’ll be handed a menu—but don’t bother opening it. A waiter will appear and recite no fewer than ten minutes of nightly specials. This is how you order. Call for a reservation. They’ll tell you they’re booked six weeks out. Ask if you can come at nine. It’s an Emmons trick.

This home is in a beautiful location and does accommodate a lot of guests. It would be great for multiple families who want separate areas/privacy but was not the prefect fit for our group of friends who wanted large gathering spaces. It has two very nice and well equipped kitchens which made for easy cooking for large number of people. The home is very cluttered with furniture which the pictures don’t really indicate. We were disappointed that the listing had noted heated pool, but when we arrived we were told that the owner doesn’t turn the heater on when outside temperatures get cooler. It was mid 70’s in the day and 60’s at night which is when we thought the pool heater would have been available. I’d suggest asking about the pool in advance if that is important to you. The dock and view from many areas of the home are stunning!!! Overall we enjoyed our time!
