Enchanting, unique cottage nestled in the Blue Ridge mountains just 20 minutes outside of charming Brevard. A perfect little getaway for outdoor enthusiasts, families, writers, artists, or anyone just seeking tranquil solitude. A beautiful private place where art and nature collide. Start your day enjoying coffee outside on the front patio or relax by the meditation garden after a long day of exploring. A wooded property with gardens, creekside trail, rustic screened in porch, decks, firepits, and an 11 acre lake for kayaking, swimming, and fishing to enjoy. Please note the cottage is not on the water, its a 1 mile walk /drive to the lake. There are 2 kayaks, lifejackets, and paddles available for an additional cost of $150.00 or 2 stand up paddleboards for 150.00 for the duration of your stay. A liability waiver is required for all boat use. Transylvania county, land of the waterfalls has over 250 to explore. The cottage is well stocked with trail and guide books for alot of the local parks.
Asheville, Brevard, Hendersonville, Cashiers, and Highlands are all surrounding communities that make wonderful day trips. Offering farm-to-table restaurants, BBQ, coffee shops, breweries, art, live music, festivals, shopping, antiques, flyfishing, parks, hiking, and misty waterfalls. Make sure you book in advance for the annual appearance of the Blue Ghost fireflies. This phenomenal event takes place mid May through early June.( Please note that I cannot guarantee or predict the exact arrival date, this is nature) Many of the parks in the area have overwhelming crowds at night due to this spectacular site. Here you will have your own private show, with hundreds and thousands of glowing lights all over the dark forest floor. An event you will cherish and never forget.
