Newly remodeled!! Cozy river house near downtown Grand Rapids!

Just a short drive north of Downtown Grand Rapids, this quaint little cottage on the river is cozy and comfortable, perfect for a couple or small group.

This home located on the Grand River and has recently been renovated in 2024. The water is on a well but treated with a newly installed water softener system, however, the water table can cause the water to have a sulfur smell at times. A Culligan water dispenser is provided for drinking. The home can comfortably sleep 4 with plenty of room for parking. The kitchen is ready for use with basic essentials and new appliances installed in 2024. There’s a large deck, grill, and basketball hoop. You can fish from the riverbank or launch your boat at one of the nearby parks. The home offers plenty of privacy for a relaxing experience. This home is within walking distance from LMCU Ballpark, AJ's Family Fun Park, and White Pine Trail. There are great breweries, restaurants and shopping nearby.

This home is perfect as it provides the comforts of a fully furnished home.

Cozy cottage off the Grand River, fishing & kayaking everyday. Location is perfect with attractions and restaurants abound. Hosts were wonderful, this was a quick last minute booking and trip for us, and they accommodated our request for early check in.

The cottage was clean, well maintained and cozy. Off the beaten path and peaceful and only a 10 minutes drive to Downtown Grand Rapids. The well water is mentioned in the listing and is very noticeably eggy but we enjoyed our stay nonetheless. The porch was a perfect spot to have coffee while looking out over the calm and gorgeous river each morning. Cozy, quaint and just what we needed for a weekend away.

This waa a great little house. The deck overlooking the water was my favorite spot to hang out. It was so quiet and peaceful. We actually tried to stay again this year but the place was already booked up!

This house was a comfy getaway from the busy city streets of Grand Rapids. The house was clean and comfortable and the hosts were easy to get ahold of if any issues arose (no issues by the way!!)

Home on Grand River

The household in general was very clean and comfortable. The only negative was the sulfar smell when using the shower but otherwise our stay was very comfortable.

What a wonderful stay! This cozy home by the river was the perfect getaway—clean, comfortable, and incredibly relaxing. We especially enjoyed mornings with coffee on the deck, watching the wildlife along the river, and evenings by the firepit under the stars. The peaceful setting felt like a true escape, yet we were just a short drive from all the fun in Grand Rapids. This was the perfect peaceful getaway to sit and relax by the water. The home was very clean and lovely and I had everything I needed. Accessing the property was very easy. Excellent communication from the property owner. I will definitely book again if I am in the area!

Would stay again

Nice little house on the water and not far from town. The only downfall for me was we stayed on the hottest days for the year and the portable air conditioner was struggling to get the house to 75 degrees. I believe if it would not have been in the 90s on the days we stayed then the portable ac would have worked just fine.

Great Location

Listing just as depicted in listing. We were in town to watch the Whitecaps play a couple games and the location of the River House was a 15 min walk to stadium. We could hear the loud speakers as we walked out the front door. Enjoyed the peacefulness of the River view. Would stay here again.

Nice home & Perfect Location!

Long weekend visiting family, and the location couldn't be better. We enjoyed the river view, and privacy that the location provided. The home was updated with new appliances, decor and bathroom/kitchen cabinetry. They provided drinking water, but the water when showering had a strong sulphur smell which was intense. Overall, I would rent again, and think they have a little piece of paradise!

Fishing trip

We stayed at the River House for two nights and it was everything we could have asked for and more. The location on the river and views from the deck and river wall in the backyard were awesome. Everything I needed, or needed to know, from the hosts of as provided and communicated quickly. Would definitely recommend and stay again myself.

Fantastic stay

My wife and I stayed here with another couple after Beerfest. It’s a very cozy and cute cabin set right on the Grand River. We enjoyed waking up to a sunrise over the river with ducks swimming by. We even went for a walk down the road to enjoy privacy and good weather. Would definitely recommend this place.

Water Smells

Great place. The only issue is that the water smells like rotten eggs/sulfur. The owner knows and says they will do something about it when you communicate with them, but there are several reviews that note otherwise.

There are times of the year when the water table is higher or off not really sure and the water (well) can have a smell. We provide water dispenser for guests if they aren’t used to well water. We have a newer water softener and are also looking into some different filters that might be a solution. We have had many guests stay without this issue. We apologize you experienced this.

Family visit to see whitecaps game

Wonderful visit! We came to Michigan to visit one of the whitecaps baseball players. Perfect location! Walked to the ballpark, enjoyed the river, caught lots of fish, sat around the fire pit. Everything was perfect. Highly recommend.
