This was just what we were for very peaceful and comfortable our dogs loved it and got to see chickens and a turkey. We will definitely be coming back

The hosts were super friendly and helpful. Check in and out was super easy. Communication was great. Parents, Kids, and dog absolutely loved staying here.

We had such a great stay. There were things for our teenager to do (lots of corn hole) even without being able to play in the river due to flooding. Our dog had a great stay too. Ann was such a gracious host and even gave us some ears of corn that were the best corn we’ve had! Highly recommend for families with both human and dog children.

Love this place! Ann was super easy to communicate with. House and host were definitely pet friendly. We enjoyed the entire area. Very quiet and safe. We got to explore the river. Such a gem to have almost in the back yard. House was stocked with everything we needed. Any questions were answered promptly. Overall the whole place made it feel like home, not just a rental house. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay. The owners are so welcoming and laid-back that it promotes an easy-going relaxation that one might feel when staying with family, rather than an unknown entity. Ann and Billy are generous and seem to truly want to share their property for guests to enjoy as if it were their own. They are up front in what they are offering, not claiming to offer a luxury resort stay, but rather a pet-friendly, homey sort of feel, which we appreciated. The addition of historical context and free-range feathered visitors added interest and topped off the peace and beauty of the place. We had a wonderful, calming stay and would definitely do it again. Loved it.

we stayed for 3 nights, we were extremely pleased with the hospitality of these hosts. They went above and beyond their duty to make us feel welcomed to the area. The property was serene and quiet. We enjoyed the river on the property and the property owners have chickens & turkeys, and allowed for us to bring our 2 dogs, who also enjoyed the whole property.

Cute, quaint little cottage on the river. Very quiet and peaceful. It was perfect for my family of 4, including two teenage boys (13 and 16). They really enjoyed fishing the river and spent most of their time doing that. Ann and Billy were friendly and wonderful hosts. They live right across the street and gave us some home grown tomatoes and fresh eggs. We will definitely be back!!!

House was nice wish it was a little more away from houses. Home owner lives across the street. Great county living the property was amazing. Nice to have a full washer and dryer in house. Will be coming back and recommending to anyone I know heading that way. Only flaw I had is the bedrooms had no doors only curtains.

We had such a wonderful stay! The property is beautiful and peaceful, with plenty to enjoy — from hiking and spending time by the water to exploring local restaurants. We especially loved the visits from the chickens, deer, and the owners’ sweet dogs. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, sharing the history of the property along with their inspiring vision for the future. This was such a relaxing and refreshing experience, and we left feeling truly recharged. Highly recommend!

What a peaceful experience! The cabin certainly is cozy.. perfect for a weekend getaway. Wish we could have had more time to explore locally as the house is about an hour away from caves and state park. Lots of bedding and home furnishings, clean all around. Our dog enjoyed his stay too! Coming from NKY we had forgotten what such a clear, quiet, starry night was like. We would love to come back again!

The location was great with a nice view and access to the river right behind the home. True country living and peaceful. If you're afraid or grossed out by critters, stay in the city. The history of the property was cool to learn about. We planned a trip to Mammoth Cave and the drive getting to the park wasn't too long. Definitely check it out.We brought our dogs and they enjoyed the property as well.

The dwelling was clean and cozy. The access to the water was hard for us because of our ages and physical abilities, and the water was down from lack of rain over the summer months. Because we wanted to fish, the hosts provided a different plan.The hosts were super nice and went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. We would go back, again, and would recommend it for an enjoyable stay.

The stay didn’t go exactly as planned. There were severe thunderstorms and flash flooding in the area. The property gave us the perfect opportunity to slow down and truly relax. We were able to snuggle up and watch tv, play games, and enjoy the peace and quiet. Our 3 year old granddaughter enjoyed the “secret passage” between the two bedrooms. We are looking forward to a return visit with better weather!

We truly enjoyed our stay here! The hosts were friendly and we had good conversation with them both!! The rental was clean and was well stocked.The scenery was beautiful with lots of green and the creek was flowing nicely. It’s nice to stay where you are fully in a country setting but still close to town! We visited Leitchfield (approximately 15 minutes away) for groceries. The next day we visited Elizabethtown (approximately 30 mins away) for their hiking, biking and nature trails and had a great time!!! We also visited The Great Mammoth Cave State Park (1 hour and 5 minutes away)!I would highly recommend this cute little retreat!Thank you Billy and Ann for being great hosts!!!!!!
