Sleeps 6-8 with first and second level bedrooms and baths; open and airy with charm throughout; beautiful light in early morning and at sunset; walk to Skaket Beach, a favorite of generations of Cape goers.Skaket is perfect for families, kayakers and bird watchers. Beautiful sunsets, Rock Harbor lobster off the boat and Cape Cod Rail Trail are within 5 minutes of the Cottage. Large porch for relaxing.

Please be sure to bring your own linens and towels for use during the stay. There is a washer and dryer in the house should you want to do laundry during your stay. There is (1) king bed, (2) double beds, (1) double sofa bed (living room), and (1) twin bed (loft-2nd floor). Also, please bring a hair dryer if you or your guests use/need one. A linen/towel rental company that is on the Cape and has been successfully used by renters that needed it is furies in Wellfleet. https://furiescapecodlinenrentals.com

We really enjoyed our week at the Cape at this property. Great location, easy parking, walk to beach. Nice layout with the deck outdoors, dining area was isolated from the rest of the house so you could play games and talk without disrupting the TV viewers in the living room. Window AC units cooled the house nicely too. Three bedrooms were quiet and worked out great for our 3 adult couples.

Another lovely stay

This was our second time staying at Cranberry Cottage. As always, communication with the hosts was wonderful. A great location and a perfect house for our family stay at Cape Cod.

Walkable to Skaket

Very clean, comfortable, well cared for home, and its walkability to Skaket beach was an added bonus. The home is set back from the road and from nearby properties so it is quiet and has plenty of privacy as well. The deck is spacious -- perfect for an evening cocktail and dinner. The host, Laura, was very responsive and friendly.

Lovely Cape Cod home. Great for families. Great location. Walk to Skaket beach or bike to Nauset! Close to town but still private!

Skaket Beach

Loved the traditional cape cod home. Plenty of room and a great deck to relax and read on. The location to the beach was an asset. Would stay there again!

Wonderful Family Getaway

We had the best time staying with my family for the week! The house is set on a great yard that leave plenty of space for kids to play outside. The space downstairs was even better than the photos and gave us the perfect space to start and end our days together.

Great House

This was the perfect spot for our family trip. The outdoor space was perfect for big dinners and lawn games. The kitchen had everything we needed and a big dining room made playing games easy. It was close to town, but also just a short walk from Skaket Beach. Couldn't recommend it more - hope to be back someday soon!

Loved our stay!

We loved our week at the Cranberry Cottage. The large yard and house set back from the road provided much privacy and a great space for the kids to play. The location was superb, close to beaches, the town, shopping, etc. The house was cozy and very clean, and the layout was perfect for our family of five. We loved the deck for evening dinners outside. Overall, it was a great stay and we would definitely come back.

Great house and location

My family and I enjoyed a wonderful vacation week at Cranberry Cottage. The house is quite spacious and was very clean. The yard and deck are marvelous. Awesome to listen to all the birds in the marshlands behind the cottage. It is a short walk to Skaket Beach, which is an amazing spot !

Loved the location

Our priority was being near a beach, and Skaket beach is a 5 to 7 minute walk away or an easy bike ride. Also the home is close to the Cape Cod rail Trail, a two minute bike ride away. We wanted ease of location and this house fit the bill! Also lovely yard, beautiful deck, and a nice home.

Orleans Vacation

This was our second time renting this property and feel lucky we were able to stay during the week of July 4th. We really enjoyed our time out on the deck and plenty of room for family meals when we could not be outside. With only a 10 minute walk to Skaket beach this house was perfect. Orleans is a great town and we enjoyed exploring more especially the artist cottages that were new this year. We look forward to future vacations at the Cranberry Cottage!

Wonderful Stay!

Perfect location, short walk to beautiful Skaket beach. The classic Cape Cod house sits back from the road, so you feel very secluded with nature all around. Comfortable indoor and outdoor hang out spaces. Excellent kitchen and comfy beds. We were looking for a special place to, once again, enjoy all that the Cape has to offer and to gather with family, this property delivered on all levels. Thank you, Laura and family for creating such a welcoming space and being so responsive!

Wonderful Family Vacation

My Mother-in-law and some family member thoroughly enjoyed their stay! We were right down the road from them so the proximity was perfect. Lots of bike rides and short walks up to Skaket Beach. Fully stocked kitchen and a nice size yard for outdoor games. They all mentioned wanting to come back. Thank you for hosting them!

We loved our time at Cranberry Cottage

We were a family of two parents with two teen boys. This property was perfect for us. The location was great, it was very clean, and the house had everything we needed for the week in terms of cooking materials, dishes, etc. Importantly for us, the AC worked great and the beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed being a half mile from the beach--some beautiful sunsets. Communication with the owners was very prompt and they were very kind. We would definitely rent here again!

We fell in love with Orleans!

My family and I have just returned home after a delightful stay at Cranberry Cottage. We could not be happier with our stay. The house was clean and exactly as depicted in the pictures. The owners were extremely kind and responsive. The location was excellent!! It took us no longer than 3-5 minutes to get almost anywhere in Orleans. Beautiful beaches, sunsets, delicious restaurants, delightful people, and more. We will definitely be back!

Cranberry Cottage

We stayed there July 10-17, I was pleasantly surprised when we walked in, it was more spacious than it looks in the pictures. We had small children with us and there were baby gates we used on the stairs. Kitchen was well equipped, bedrooms were cozy, beds were comfortable. The deck added extra living space which we used every day. Under a 1 minute drive to the beach. We did not walk there as we had small children with us. It is very close to stores, yet it felt very private. We enjoyed our stay there.

Another wonderful week here!

We are so grateful for this home and for the week we just spent here. I wrote last year and am happy to say that all of the things we loved last year were the same for this stay-the large, quiet yard with butterflies and hummingbird visits and the home itself with everything we needed (including cozy mattresses-so many rental homes have awful beds!) and enough space for us to stretch out. The deck acts as a second livingroom and where we spent most of our time. The location is perfect, a few minutes walk to the bay and a 10 minute drive to the ocean. Thank you for another excellent vacation!

Great location, nice outdoor deck, cottage needed a deep cleaning, Cobb webs under furniture.lamps soiled slipcover & some bedding , ottoman , box cutter found between loveseat cushions. Dust pan filthy, could use new broom, dust pan, small vacuum.

Our cleaning team comes weekly, but since your stay extended longer we could have sent them back for a second clean. Wonderful stay, already booked next summer!

We’ve stayed in many rentals over the years but the Cranberry Cottage is now our favorite. I am writing this from the deck on our last day here and just reserved the same week next summer. The house is the perfect combination of all the things we look for in a vacation home. The photos can’t capture how spacious this place is and feels. Or the incredible deck which served as an extra livingroom all week. The house backs up to a marsh which makes you instantly feel like you are at the beach and the yard is filled with butterflies and birds (my son loved the hummingbird that visited the butterfly bush every morning). We loved sunsets at Skaket Beach down the street, the big dining room table, the kitchen with everything we needed on hand, and the comfy bedrooms (one king bed bedroom, two full size bed bedrooms, and an extra twin bed in a beautiful open space underneath a skylight on the second floor). The mattresses and comforters were so comfortable and we had great sleep all week. I am so glad we found Cranberry Cottage!

Quaint Cottage

The Cranberry Cottage was a really cute house to stay in for our family. It was charming and we appreciated the roominess of the kitchen/dining area/living area when compared to other houses on the cape that we have stayed at. It is close to Skaket Beach, which is great. The family was great to work with and answered questions promptly. The house came with two baby gates, a pack and play, and other really helpful accessories. As a young family, this was a space saver for us when packing. We loved our stay there and would happily rent again. Thank you!

Orleans Vacation

This was our first family trip to Cape Cod. Cranberry Cottage was the perfect place for our family. We had plenty of room and the deck added that extra outdoor space that we needed. The location is perfect. We had our privacy yet were only 1-2 miles from what we needed. Skaket Beach was a short 8-10 minute walk and was amazing. We loved our stay and look forward to next year!

Cape Week 2022

My family and I had been lucky enough to stay at the Housman's cottage once before and enjoyed our second visit as much as the first. Our grandchildren (ages 5 and 3) so enjoyed playing in the beautiful yard and the cottage was clean, comfortable and very user friendly for our family of four adults and two children. Thank you to the Housmans for sharing your home and helping us to create more wonderful Cape Cod memories!
