Thank you for your 5 star rating! We are glad to hear that check in went smoothly. The keyless entry is a great system that removes the need for physical keys and allows for a seamless self check in. Our apologies about the cable. Both ourselves and our on Island caretaker are available to help fix issues that may arise during stays, so next time you visit, if you encounter a problem, please call either of us and we will have it fixed right away. We did some research about the noise after reading your comments seeing as it is normally very peaceful at the condo. We discovered that one of the properties in a different complex had some work they needed to do on the city services to the home and were permitted to do the work during business hours during the week. This was a temporary situation that unfortunately fell during your stay and that we had not received notice of. Seeing as Hawaii is located in the tropics, you will find that leaving food out on the counter attracts the little ghost ants that are part of this climate. The sign that we have on the kitchen counter that advises of this gives great solutions to avoid this issue such as keeping everything in the Tupperware containers that we have available or keeping items in the fridge. Aloha Barbra! We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay. We try extra hard to make sure that our little piece of paradise has everything (and more!) that helps make people feel comfortable and at home. We love cooking and using the BBQs next to the building so we keep a well stocked spice cupboard, coffee (for a great coffee rub) and bowls, plates and utensils galore to make cooking and entertaining a breeze, so it makes us happy when guests appreciate these extra touches. It sounds like you took full advantage of so many of the great things to do that are in walking distance from the condo: golf, restaurants, shopping and of course, mornings and evenings on the lanai gazing out at the ocean. Mahalo for your kind words. The patio is one of our favourite spots in the condo! The view out over the ocean is amazing as are the sunsets and the nighttime star gazing. We spend hours outside when we are there eating dinner, having our morning coffee, relaxing, etc. We are glad you visited Island Gourmet. We are so lucky to have it so close with their excellent selection of groceries, wine, souvenirs and yummy poke. Next time you find yourself in Maui, be sure also to grab a coffee at Akamai in the Wailea Village right by the condo. It's exceptional coffee and is local too. We look forward to hosting you again. We agree that the location is excellent as we enjoy walking to the several world class beaches that are nearby as well as walking to the shops (with the excellent Island Gourmet market), the restaurants, the resorts and to the local farmers market. We are sorry to hear that your upstairs neighbours were being noisy. As we mentioned in our check-in email, Ekolu has 24 hour security on site that you can call for noise complaints. They will go to the unit and ensure the guests keep the noise down for you. Just something to keep in mind for your next visit!

We want to condo to be just like a home away from home for our guests so we try to have all the little things available that allow a vacation to pass seamlessly and smoothly. The second bedroom does have a smaller footprint than the master bedroom, but with the gorgeous wood sleigh bed, the private hallway (closed off from the main living area by a door), its own private bathroom and the direct access out to a private lanai and zen garden, we find it is a perfect place for either a couple or a youngster to enjoy their Maui holiday. We see that you also took advantage of the close proximity of Wailea's world class beaches and the many excellent restaurants within walking distance, the golf and the pool, making the most of your Maui holiday.
