Welcome to Sugar Hollow, a charming, storybook cottage in the woods. Just southeast of the vibrant city of Asheville, this home epitomizes country charm and character in an idyllic setting. Imagine quiet nights under the trees, listening to the flow of the creek. The ambience, both inside and out, is truly restorative and conducive to relaxation. The home itself is fully equipped with amenities you'd need for a longer stay, so pack light and stay awhile. This mountain getaway awaits!

This cottage is located in an idyllic, rural setting offering both forest and farms. On the route to Asheville(just 15 minutes away), stop at a bountiful, produce farmstand operating on an honor system. Then, proceed to Asheville, the Paris of the South. There you'll find museums, outstanding restaurants, live music galore & unique shops offering eclectic wares found nowhere else. Asheville, after all, is an artist enclave creating a uniquely interesting city habitat. Take in the incomparable Biltmore Estate and ride the Blue Ridge Parkway to the trails WNC is known for. After an adventure-packed day, return to Sugar Hollow in the cool, mountain evenings to rest and restore.

About the cottage: The home is heated/cooled by a ductless mini split system in the living room. There are electric logs in the fireplace to provide a bit of ambience. The mini split is capable of heating and cooling the entire home but the doors to bedrooms need to be left open in extreme temperatures.


Pets are allowed for a non-refundable pet fee of $100 per pet. We do limit the pets to 1 large dog or 2 small dogs please.

As the name states, this cottage is in the woods. Therefore, you will see bugs, small spiders and cobwebs. Our cleaners clean and remove them as best they can, but don't be surprised to encounter them on occasion.

You will have access to the entire home and property which is large and private.

The home has a ductless mini split system in the living room for heating and cooling. The house is on a well which can sometimes have an iron or sulphur smell. These are naturally occurring minerals which are harmless.

Please note: If your stay is for more than 15 days there will be an additional cleaning fee.
No pets or additional guests without prior approval. Please, keep dogs off furniture and beds.
No unsupervised children or pets.
There is no fenced area at the property, and
there is a county-wide leash law, so all pets must be monitored and adequately
restricted by their owner (Guest) as they see fit - but please…no chains! Please do not leave your animals outside unattended if you are away during the day - other animals may make that an issue, and certainly heat, cold and quickly-changing weather are factors in WNC. Please also clean up after your pet, even in the yard, so that others may enjoy it without incident.
No smoking inside, and please do not throw cigarette butts in the yard or leave them on the deck. Please be aware that lit cigarettes can start fires. Please take every precaution in this regard.
Keep doors and windows closed when heat or air conditioning is on.
Keep paper products in the toilets to a minimum - we are on a septic system.
Please don't put trash outside during your stay! Leave any bagged trash in the blue Waste Pro can at the end of the driveway for pick up.
Please, begin a laundry cycle of towels and washcloths, this is super helpful to clean the home in a timely manner.

Please, no glitter or confetti in the cottage.
