Are you looking for a fun family vacation home with the surf and sand at your door step? Then this wonderful OCEANFRONT duplex is for you! This is an up/down duplex allowing for the preferred convenience of one level living, with this top level unit having 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Rent this unit, or for the perfect large family gathering, combine this unit with our other lower unit, VRBO #474865 listing, for a total of 8 BEDROOMS.

There are five TVs, and high speed WiFi! The living room has a large flat screen TV with premium cable service and a DVD (Blu Ray) player. Each bedroom has a flat screen TV streaming Netflix. The kids and teenagers will enjoy the bunk/futon bedroom configuration, especially when they can retreat to their own room which also has a DVD (Blue Ray) player. Make sure you keep one of the two beautiful ocean front bedrooms for yourself.

This unit has a full length front deck with marsh views, and a full length oceanfront back deck, so you can enjoy all that Holden Beach has to offer. A boardwalk right from your back deck takes you over the dunes to the ocean’s edge. You can also relax in the open air ground level common area where you will find casual wicker furniture and a charcoal grill. ENJOY!

Holden Sunrise

Our stay at Sunrise was so delightful. The property is very well maintained and appointed. Everything you could need in the kitchen and all in excellent condition. Some very nice touches from the welcome gifts to the automatic lights on the staircase.

SUNRISE-UP was the BEST

Wonderful vacation rental only steps to the beach and surf. Interior was nicely furnished and had everything a renter would need for comfort and entertainment. Very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with all meal prep items and appliances. Two balconies provided wonderful views of the beach and surrounding areas. Over-flights by the daily pelican "train" was neat. We would recommend this rental to anyone - had a great vacation experience staying at this beach house. April 2025

Lovely Beach House

This property was the nicest I have ever stayed in at Holden Beach! The beds were comfortable and kitchen was well equipped. My family and I had a lovely vacation and hope to come back here again.

Great family trip to the beach.

Great place for our family of 3 couples and 2 children to spend a relaxing week on the beach. The house worked well for us. Everything as advertised and expected.

Holden Beach Heaven

Such a great cottage and it met all our expectations and more. We arrived to special treats as a welcome and found all the necessities of home. The decks were comfy and the rocking chairs welcoming. The beds were perfect and our downstairs neighbors were great! Great week and will go back…can’t wait

Happy on Holden!

We had a girls week - just three of us and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!! Everything from the house, the accommodations, the beach and the surroundings were perfect. Robert and Ellen couldn’t have been any more accommodating and we enjoyed spending the week with them occupying the lower level. We can’t wait to go back!!

Great location and amenities!

We enjoyed our stay at Robert's property. It was perfectly situated on the beach where we were able to enjoy time on the beach multiple times a day. The house itself was fully stocked with enough silverware to feed an army!

Very clean and well stocked. Very family oriented with a great view!

This was the best vacation by far! We will be booking again next year. The house was perfect. Very clean, stocked, and roomy. Robert went above and beyond for this place! Great view with alot of privacy.

Best Beach Access

The location of this property is ideal for getting around at Holden Beach. Great experience because a turtle nest hatched right on the beach at the property. Convenient to get to the beach, lay out on the beach, and fish off the shore. We want to keep enjoying our vacation at this beach property!

Peace and Quiet

This was the perfect place for our family this summer. The beach front was a win. We were able to watch sea turtles hatch and fish so conveniently. Everyone had a cozy space!

Beautiful view

Beautiful view and the property owner was awesome to work with! Wine and crackers when we arrived. Property needs a few updates in kitchen which would definitely make it a 5 star property.

Beach Getaway

We had a great time at Holden Beach. Robert was very quick to respond to my questions. The place was clean and comfortable. The beach was amazing and being there in mid-September, it was quiet and relaxing. One suggestion I would make is to replace the current old charcoal grill with a gas grill.

Great stay!

This house worked great for our family. It was very efficient-- one open common space (kitchen, dining, living) in the center with a two-bedroom family suite on either side (queen br, kids br, and shared jack n Jill). It met our needs, was well stocked, and was very clean. The dishwasher was a bit tricky to figure out how to latch in order to run it and the water filter in the fridge gushed water at one point, but we were able to with around it. We would stay here again!

Wonderful Home ~ Highly Recommend

Great views and seen dolphins daily. Home was clean and I was impressed! Kitchen was well stocked with essentials and we cooked daily. Beds were high quality. Robert and his wife were a dream to deal with. We hope to return in the future. BOOK THIS NOW BEFORE ITS GONE!

Best Week of the Year!

Our family rents both units, and there is plenty of room for everyone to sleep and gather. We ate together, played games together, and had lots of beach time together. The tents went up on the beach first thing in the morning and were taken down late afternoon. A common comment was "Once I arrived, the only time I left the cottage was to go to the grocery store on my cook day." This was a true vacation for all.

Excellent house!!

We had the upstairs floor of a duplex. It was very clean and stocked with enough toilet paper and dish detergent for a couple of nights. The covered porch with rocking chairs was amazing. We all sat out there every night. Our downstairs neighbors were lovely. We did have a TV remote control missing, and the dryer needs some attention, but we weren't there to wath TV.

Great Christmas Vacation!

I'm a little late getting to this review, but no doubt that it deserves a perfect rating! We decided to have our family Christmas this year at the beach that I grew up going to yearly, as well as marrying my beautiful wife on this very island over 7 years ago. We love Holden Beach, and do everything we can to make it there once a year. This house was perfect for my wife and myself, our two little girls (1 yo and 5 yo), and my wife's grandparents. The owner was wonderful and very quick to respond to questions, even left a nice welcome gift of various seafood items. Definitely recommend to small families, or even bigger groups and renting both sides. We will certainly return in the future!

Another great week at Holden Beach

We rented both the top and bottom of this duplex for our annual trip to Holden. Everything about this house was great! The decor, the location, the view, the well stocked kitchen, were all exactly as described. The owner of this house is probably the most stand out part of our week, though! We did have a little snafu with the water tank, which is no fault of his; things like this just happen. But Robert was right on top of it, got it fixed immediately and went so far out of his way to make sure this effected our trip as little as possible. I have never had an owner show such a genuine desire for us to enjoy our vacation. It really felt like he viewed us as his personal guests. There is no doubt in our minds that this would be one of the first places we will look to rent on our return! Thanks to you and your wife, Robert, for making us feel at home!

WOW Location!

This WOW location gives you the ocean out your back door! The houses on this street have private access to the beach - no crowds - no setting up early to get a good spot - plenty of beach, sand, and TURTLES. We were located between two turtle nests and got to see two hatchlings rescued after they failed to exit the nest in the initial hatch. The two king size beds in this unit were very comfortable and each had a full bath it shared with an adjoining bedroom. Bedrooms and bathrooms were roomy with good water pressure. The furniture was comfortable without being fussy. The back deck was long and amazing with several large rocking chairs. There was a hose at the mid-point on the deck to wash off sand and benches to sit on with morning coffee. We had 6 people in our group but there was plenty of room for more. The only thing missing was a grill. We found a smoker but not quite what we were looking for. We highly recommend this rental.
