Our 2 bedroom / 2 full bath, waterfront vacation house has everything necessary to make special memories, including a fully equipped kitchen with newer stainless appliances as well as front-load washer & dryer. There are 2 large HD TVā€™s equipped with cable access, one in the Great/Living Room and also one in the master bedroom; as well as fishing poles, & games. The master bedroom features a King bed with private master bath, while the second bedroom has a Queen bed. Wireless High Speed Internet access is provided, but please bring your PC. Enjoy fabulous sunsets at the local gulf coast beaches within a short drive. The house is fully and beautifully furnished in a nautical ā€˜beachyā€™ theme, and is located 15 miles north of Clearwater in New Port Richey on a Gulf waterfront community. Since owners utilize this as their own property, they are focused on quality and cleanliness - so kitchen supplies, furniture, beds, linens, etc. exceed those found in many vacation rentals. House has an entire-house double filter water system; plus a 3rd filter on refrigerator. In your initial email, please include information about your family/group. For example - "My husband John & I are from Syracuse, NY, and we are considering your waterfront house for a vacation with our 2 children, ages 8 & 10." Also, please feel free to ask any ?'s; and please contact owners regarding long-term stays Although there is a dock, boats are disallowed at vacation house.

Nice house and great host

The house was as described and the bed was very comfortable. The house is on a canal but you are a ways from the gulf. It is a very suburban neighborhood We found a number of parks on an off the gulf to drive to. Overall we had a good stay. The owner was very pleasant to deal with

NIce canal house.

Lots of space. Big living room. Large screened porch. NIce green area in the back (you can hear some traffic from 19). Owner was very attentive. He found us another kayak at the last minute. He was responsive when the spa needed repair. Spoke with the neighbors to the north, they were very nice. Only a few local TV channels available - doesn't really qualify as "cable TV" by any definition. Didn't see a blender, so margaritas were on the rocks. Kayaking through the canal was very peaceful. The owner offered to let us stay and extra day at no charge, because he wasn't booked the next week!

Peaceful, Spacious, Comfortable

Very comfortable two bedroom two bath home open and very clean. Easy access to amenities (grocery store, etc). Pricing very reasonable. Rick and Karin were warm and welcoming. They were attentive and on the spot with questions/concerns. I would stay again.

The Perfect Place!

I have to say what a wonderful home Rick and Karin have! We stayed here mid-April to mid-May and the weather was absolutely beautiful! Everything needed is here, just sit back and relax! The yard is fenced in, so our dog enjoyed her freedom off the leash! It was so nice to sit and enjoy the sunshine and the view outside in chairs by the canal, or to relax in the hot tub. The home is located in a quiet neighborhood near many good restaurants, Publix grocery store, and various shopping malls. We've stayed in NPR before and this time we visited Tarpon Springs, a quaint Greek town, with delicious restaurants and many shops to visit. We also visited Homosassa Springs, a wonderful state park filled with all sorts of animals native to Florida. We even made a few trips to the Seminole Casino in Tampa! Lots to do, and the perfect house to stay in. Looking forward to visiting again!

A very comfotable and pleasant place to vacation.

This is the 5th time we have stayed at Rick and Karens lovely property. They are both lovely people, and will go out of their way to make you feel at home. There is everything you need in the home. Locally there are a wide variety of shops and restaurants.There are also plenty of places to visit within an hours drive. Try Homosassa State Park, Weeki Wachhee ( home of the mermaids.) To eat try Ruby Tuesdays or Cracker Barrel. For us it is a home from home, and we hope to return next year.

Rick and Karin communicate well and make you feel right at home the minute you get there! Nicely renovated waterfront home in good neighborhood. Away from large streets, but very convenient to all you need!! We would highly recommend staying at this property!

Gulf Home

This is the 4th time we have stayed in Rick & Karins loverly property. We hope it will not be the last. There is plenty to do in the vicinity with good restaurants and shops. They continue to make improvements to the property. If you stay there, you will not be disapointed

Beautiful Florida Home

From the moment we walked into this house we felt right at home. This house has everything and more if I was to purchase a house in Florida, from stainless steel appliances with granite counter tops in the nice kitchen with pantry, to the large open living room with screen doors opening out onto the lanai and backyard/deck/canal to the large master bedroom, also with doors opening onto the lanai which we thought was a real bonus. We also especially loved the quiet and peaceful location, yet with walking distance to stores and other amenities. With the private beach a three minute drive away, this house has everything I could ask for when escaping from the Canadian winters. Thank you Rick and Karin for sharing your beautiful home with us. We plan on returning next year!

This is the 3rd stay in Rick and Karins home. They have made improvements, to what was an already delightful property. With a new kitchen and doors and windows it is light and airy. We loved every minute of our time that we stayed here! Our family of six, plus our dog, arrived in June and stayed for six weeks. When we arrived, we were graciously met by the owner who had left a bottle of my favorite wine chilling in the fridge. The beautiful sunset, beautiful views, and wine were enjoyed in the spacious Florida room. The kitchen was stocked with every amenity we needed, as well as, the bathrooms. An absolute bonus was the access to the private beach which my entire family loved! We made many memories during our stay here and would recommend this home to everyone!

Paradise found!!! 5 stars for excellence, but would rate this house an overall 10 if possible. And what a deal for a vacation house like this. I really mean it when I say I can't write enough good things about this tranquil, vacation retreat. It's a hidden gem within a quiet neighborhood convenient to nearby dining, shopping, grocery stores. Flowers, palm trees, and water views almost everywhere you look - from canals to your own private beach bordering the Gulf (think glorious sunsets nightly). My husband and I, along with our 2 dogs, spent two wks vacation in absolute heaven, thanks to our gracious hosts who've created a warm, beautifully decorated, & 'very clean' retreat for all ages. As soon as we walked through the front door our cares slipped away, and each day only got better as we enjoyed all the amenities this house and area offer. From very comfortable beds to lovely appointed rooms, & ceiling fans that circulate cool breezes that flow through the house when you open front and back doors, and a hot tub hidden away in the front courtyard, you simply can't ask for anything better. Especially loved the back wall of glass in the great room w/sliding patio doors leading to a screened porch overlooking a water canal; exotic birds and boats to further enhance your view. We spent each morning on the screened porch, where we drank our coffee, soaked up the Florida ambiance, and planned another fun-filled day. Evenings we'd have a glass of wine and barbecue out there. We rarely ate out because you couldn't beat our view! I also would curl up in a big wicker chair on the porch and read whenever I could, especially into late night. And don't miss going in to New Port Richey and walking through Sims Park that has a beautiful lake, water canal, old street lamps, and towering moss-draped Cypress trees shading the pathways. We'd walk our dogs there every morning/or evening, and there's picnic tables to enjoy as well. What a charming town. If you want to go to a major beach they're within 45 mins. away, but dogs aren't allowed on every beach, so check before you go. And your hosts are only a phone call away and are always ready to answer any questions or meet any needs. Don't hesitate, book this one! And thanks again to our hosts. We want to come back to Florida and rent from you again!

We weren't ready to leave!

My husband and I and my mother just spent 5 weeks here and were very pleased. The house is spacious and worked out perfectly for us, and our 2 dogs. We loved sitting out by the canal and watching the birds and boats. The area is very nice , and the private beach is exceptionally clean. We liked being so close to shopping and every restaurant you could possibly want. This was our first experience renting a vacation home and Rick and Karin made it so simple. They are great to deal with.

This is the place to go.

Rick and Karin are one of the nicest couples you could hope to meet. There home is lovely. It is spacious and well kitted out. It wants for nothing. It is very well sited for shopping, restuarants and amenities. We stayed their for the month of November and will definately, all being well will be returning. We have stayed in Gulf Harbors for the last 4 years, and this is the best. I would recommend a trip to Homosassa State Park, Nico's Place on US19 North, and The Cracker Barrel.

Just What We Were Looking For!

If you are looking for a comfortable, clean and relaxing place to stay, look no further. This house is centrally located to shopping, entertainment and dining. We thoroughly enjoyed having our coffee watching the sunrise and quiet evenings from the screened lanai. The house is very roomy and offers everything that you could possibly need. The owners are very friendly and accommodating and go above and beyond in making you feel welcome. An extra plus is not having to bring beach towels, bath towels and bed linens. We will definitely be returning for future stays. Highly recommended.

Great house and value! Owner was very accommodating and boat slip with floating dock was perfect for my boat. We enjoyed our summer vacation with a canal ride out to open waters of the Gulf each day and a sunset cruise in each evening. Very relaxing and peaceful street with quiet neighbors who live there year round. If you like Greek food then you should visit the sponge docks in Tarpon Springs which is only a 10 minute drive.. There are plenty of Greek restaurants, bakeries, gift shops as well as an aquarium where you can feed the stingrays and sharks. There is also a great Seafood restaurant called Rusty Bellies. We will return!

WHAT A STEAL!!! :)

I don't know where to begin. My husband and I (24&26), along with our very playful Beagle (5), booked a last minute vacation at this house for a week. The property is absolutely amazing. The pictures don't do it justice, but honestly, no picture would. The area is very quiet which is just what we were looking for. We are both full-time graduate students (Law and Social Work) so the slower paced break was much needed. Our dog loved the back yard after being cooped in a small Miami apartment for the past year. He was very skittish with walking on the docks, so we never worried about him getting in the water. Rick has two docks, a floating one my father-in-law used to get in and out of the water, and a bigger one he keeps both his boats. We spent every evening on the bigger dock after the sun went down starring at the fish surrounding his green underwater light. It is extremely quiet at night so if you are looking for somewhere to party this probably isn't your place. The front and back porches were perfect. In the morning the front porch was cool and breezy and we enjoyed our coffee in the chairs while our pup basked in the sun next to the secluded hot tub. The front gate was perfect to keep all the doors open in the house (1 front door with screen door, 2 front sliding glass doors, 2 back sliding glass doors, 1 back door from the master bath to the Florida Room) and still let our dog enjoy freedom. The Florida Room was perfect after about 4pm when the sun was setting behind the houses on the other side of the canal. We really did eat every dinner using the grill and inside the Florida Room. The only time we felt the need to watch TV was for the first Heat v. Pacers game, but unfortunately, it wasn't subscribed to. It really wasn't a big deal at all and we went to the hot tub instead, which was also the perfect addition. We LOVED how it was secluded. Although there are spots where you can see out, I'd be very surprised if people could see inside the front porch at night. During the day, it acted as a place to cool off since we didn't turn the heat up, and at night it was the perfect, relaxing touch to a great day. Bottom line, if you are looking for a low cost, budget-friendly, vacation this is perfect. Thanks Rick for being so personable and welcoming!
