Sea Colony oceanfront 7th floor, sleeps 6, owner-listed.

This is a 7th floor condo in the oceanfront portion of the award winning Sea Colony resort (Farragut House). There are fabulous views from your balcony overlooking the surf, sand, pool, and promenade.

In the condo you are high above it all, ensconced in a well-furnished bungalow with a forever view of the ocean. Just sit back and relax on the balcony and listen to the waves with a glass of wine. Or take the elevator and a short walk past the pool to get to the beach.

The kitchen was completely renovated in March 2014. The remodel included new granite counters, new cabinets, a new washer/dryer, new microwave, and new refrigerator. Both bathrooms were completely renovated in March 2017, including ceramic tile floor and shower/bath areas and granite countertops. The master bedroom furniture was replaced in 2021 and the living room furniture was replaced in October 2022. There are several wifi networks and an extender to increase the coverage in the 2nd bedroom. This bedroom was renovated in November 2025 with a queen bed.

Sea Colony is a beautiful, well-maintained resort carefully designed for vacationers to enjoy not just the beach but also numerous sports and activities in a very comfortable and relaxed setting. It is an award winning family beach and tennis community featuring world class amenities including, 12 pools (2 indoor), life guards at pools and private beach, 34 tennis courts, fitness centers, aerobics and Zoomba classes, hiking/biking trails, complementary shuttle bus, kiddie pools and children's programs. Note that access to these facilities requires a guest badge that you will purchase separately, with rates shown below.

You'll also have access to nearby golf (Bear Trap), boardwalk, restaurants, outlet shopping, rides and arcades. Within the resort are daily planned activities for children and families.

Bethany Beach is a well-maintained and quiet family town that offers an idyllic beach vacation experience. Only a few square miles, it still manages to offer excellent casual and creative fine dining, as well as all of the typical beach fare in a very low key setting. There are no other high-rises other than Sea Colony, and north and south of Bethany are only wild dunes and state parks. Rehoboth Beach and Ocean City are just a half-hour drive if you want to see a movie, drive go-karts or hit the outlets.

You will love either an active or a relaxing time at this wonderful, versatile property.

An administrative fee of $200 applies to all bookings.
2024 Weekly Guest Badge Fees - these are paid by you to Vacasa, the resort manager.

Best of Bethany Beach

Very nice condo. Well equipped. Excellent air conditioning. Clean. Very nice window treatments on sliding glass door and main bedroom. They kept heat out and AC in. Comfortable beds. Great towels! Nice kitchen and bathrooms. Overall a very nice place to vacation. We enjoyed our stay!

Great place on the beach!

Beautiful place to stay

The hosts provided excellent customer service with their quick responses to my questions. The condo was beautiful, very comfortable and well stocked with amenities. We will definitely be booking this unit again. Thank you for helping to make our family vacation memorable! ❤️

Clean, bright property, communicative owner

We loved staying at Bill and Juliet's bright, clean condo for a few days. Despite windy weather conditions which precluded us from enjoying the beach, the sight of the ocean and beach from the living room and main BR was lovely. Having access to the indoor pools and a decent core of open restaurants and shops was all we needed to enjoy our time together. As noted, there were not many "basics" so definitely bring an extra roll of TP and cooking spray, aluminum foil, spices etc if you plan to cook. The Long and Foster crew was friendly and communicative, as was the Sea Colony Office folks (slightly inconvenient to have to stop by two places when we were ready to get out of the car!) But Bill was extremely responsive which was much appreciated. We would definitely rent this exact place again! The location can't be beat.

Great Apartment but Parking Nightmare!

The apartment we rented was wonderful! It was clean, tastefully decorated and very convenient. We loved it! However, parking was terrible! I have a handicapped sticker due to a deteriorated hip and there was only ONE designated space which was filled with the same car for two weeks! I watched it. Our son had a parking permit, but there was absolutely NO space for him. The overflow lot was filled, so he got a nasty note threatening a ticket or tow. Did you expect him to put his car in his pocket? It is a shame for such a nice resort complex to have such a horrendous parking problem! We want to come back but not on the 4th of July again. It was very stressful!

Very nice condo...

Our family of 4 really enjoyed our stay here. It's a great condo with a wonderful view. The large sectional is big and comfortable, and the unit looks just like it does in the photos. The updated kitchen and bathrooms are really nice. There's plenty of hot water and the water pressure is very good in the main shower. The AC works great (haven't found this to be the case at some other Sea Colony condos). The fridge has a great ice maker that pumps out lots of ice (no need for bagged ice). There are lots of kitchen utensils. We used the vacuum cleaner twice and it worked just fine. If I had any nitpicks, it would be to have a king bed in the master, but the existing bed is still comfortable overall. Would definitely come back here!

Great week at Bethany Beach!

This condo easily accommodated our family of five adults. The condo was clean and nicely decorated, and had a wonderful view of the ocean. We especially liked the well equipped kitchen. The host was very helpful and communicative. Highly recommend!

Outdated

Upon check-in at Long & Foster, we were told unit was not ready yet although it was late afternoon and to come back in about 2 hours. Returned at 6:20 pm and was told unit had still not been cleaned but L&F rep was obligated to turn the keys over anyway😖. Then she decided to call the cleaning lady just to verify and was told that the unit had already been cleaned but she hadn’t gotten around to update their tracking system. So first impression, not so good. On entering the condo, floors were dirty, we tried the vacuum - didn’t work very well. My poor grandson who is allergic to dogs, had several severe sneezing episodes during the week. We had to go out and buy new pillows. We should have been told if pets had been on the property. Overall unit was outdated and needs a proper cleaning.

Cleanliness left much to be desired

There are ants, we found a Viagra pill under a mattress, the furniture is visibly stained and dirty, one bedroom had walls so filthy we didn’t use it, the ironing board is disgusting and stained from its inception in 1950, and really I could go on and on. We set 6 brand new ant traps upon arrival and it didn't prevent me from twice finding an ant crawling on me. And no, it’s not because we are slobs that we had ants. The owners admitted a problem with ants when they were there June 18-21st.

Sea Colony Off Season

Sea Colony is a very well managed and controlled property. It is essentially self-contained with many resort amenities. Good access to beach and within walking distance of stores and restaurants. Only problem with visiting late in the off-season, is that various contractors are making repairs and sprucing things up for the coming summer season. Sometime this may cause slight inconvenience within the property as well as noise. Otherwise you almost have the place to your self!

Nice Fall getaway

The location and convenience to the beach was the best thing about this unit. It was also very quiet but that might be do to so few people in the building this time of year. Living room furniture was a little worn and dated but beds were quite comfortable. Overall the unit was clean but bathrooms could use a deeper clean and the kitchen floor a good scrubbing. We also were caught off guard by annoying fruit flies that seemed to have infested the entire community! Fortunately they were not an issue out on the beach but seemed to be everywhere! Nevertheless, we enjoyed our mid-week getaway which included shopping the outlets and visiting Rehoboth and Lewes.

Wonderful vacation for all ages!

This trip was particularly special as it allowed for three generations of our family to spend time together. The condo was perfect for that; allowing our elderly relatives to still enjoy the ocean and sunrise while the younger kids loved the beach and indoor pools! The open layout was great for gathering together for family and meal time. Bill was very responsive and easy to work with. We would love to visit again!

Awesome Getaway!

We had a wonderful time here and will definitely be back! The condo is spacious, functional, clean, cheery and bright! I was condo-bound for most of our trip with our 3-month old, so the balcony views made me feel like I was on the beach! Great communication with the host too!

The condo was great. Long and Foster were miserable property managers. Unable to contact, poor instructions. Can't express how awful the were. Also used vacasa No comparison. Would never rent through L&F.

We stayed in similar units in Sea Colony many times ourselves and always loved the experience. Our vacations were guaranteed to be fun and effortless. The oceanfront buildings are of high quality, particularly well-maintained and very tasteful. The best words you could use to describe them might be 'quiet class'. They are very clean, clutter-free and continuously updated.

Everything we needed during our vacations could be found in Bethany or nearby Rehoboth. Just steps away are the beach, pools, tennis courts, gym, basketball courts, cafe, restaurants, drug store, and wine shop! It was so easy to accommodate everyone in our family. Activities ranged from rollerblading, surfing the waves, building sand castles, swimming in the pools and ocean, bicycling wide shouldered roads, playing tennis, walking or just sitting on the balcony reading a book or chatting with family and friends!

Bethany Beach is a quintessential American family beach town. Just a few blocks walk to the boardwalk and main strip in Bethany, where the kids can enjoy the arcade, mini-golf, homemade fudge, water ice, pizza and so much more. There are also many wonderful restaurants in town, including southwestern style, BBQ, seafood, and more.

Of course it can rain when you're at the beach, and that's the time to jump in the car and head for Rehobeth Beach outlets, amusements, movies and dining. You can't beat this vacation!
