Great house, welcoming, clean, comfortable bed, everything works (!). It is also close everything we needed, which is Tanglewood and the Great Barrington area. Overall, we had a great stay. We did not use the kayaks as they seemed to us a bit outdated and easy to flip, but maybe we just needed more experience in it.Would definitely recommend the house to our friends.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful lakefront cottage! David was incredibly responsive, helpful, and accommodating, and he kindly allowed us to check in early, which we really appreciated.The location is truly special. The lake is beautiful, and the views must be absolutely spectacular in the fall when the foliage is at its peak. We especially enjoyed taking the kayaks out on the water—the peaceful surroundings and gentle paddle were incredibly relaxing and therapeutic.The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, making it a perfect place to slow down and recharge. The cottage itself is rustic, but that is part of its charm and what makes the experience feel so authentic and cozy.Overall, a wonderful getaway in a beautiful setting. We would happily come back, especially in the fall!

Enjoyed everything about the stay

Beautiful and clean cabin with stunning lake views. Short drive to the Great Barrington which we loved. Also the Les Trois Emme winery which was only minutes away - the wine slushie is a must! Loved everything about our accommodations and our trip to the Berkshires.

Anniversary trip

My husband, dog and I enjoyed a long weekend here to celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary- the property was beautiful and quaint! Perfect for exploring on walks, or nearby to the Norman Rockwell museum. Would stay here again.

Fall (ish) mountain stay

This cabin was really nice. It was in an excellent location and in good shape. I especially appreciated the welcome binder with the restaurant suggestions and town information. I would definitely recommend this property.

This is an adorable, rustic lakeside cabin n the Berks, it’s the real deal and very comfortable and simply but well appointed. We felt like part of the multi-generational family history in the quaint camp. The lake is beautiful and smaller, so peaceful, definitely grab some firewood along the road for the fire pit. We had a wonderful relaxing lakeside holiday.

Early Fall Adventure

Great location for mountains, hills, lakes and ponds and waterfalls all nearby. The moderate tempartures allowed us to hike and paddle for four days. The accomadations were comfortable for two peeople - and clean.

Lakeview splendor

MiOwn Cabin was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and the perfect size for two people. The view from the living room window was both peaceful and beautiful, adding to the relaxing atmosphere. The two kayaks were a fantastic bonus — we used them every morning, and were thrilled to be greeted by eagles and their fledglings each time. A truly special experience!

Nice cabin in the woods

Quaint cabin tucked away in the Berkshires. For those vacationing with a pet, be aware that on Labor Day weekend this neighborhood puts on a fireworks show right by this house. Also, there really is not any yard, just a small patio. Lots of great hiking in the area.

Friendly host, awesome location

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the property. It is so close to the lake it might as well be on the shoreline. the two kayaks were a wonderful addition. The cabin is rustic but comfortable. Perfect spot for a getaway. Nestled between the woods and the lake it is the perfect mix of what the mountains offer. I will definitely consider returning.

Perfect Get-Away Cabin!

MiOwn was an excellent place to stay while visiting Lake Buel! A quiet neighborhood with views of the lake made our stay that much more enjoyable! The cabin was clean and stocked with the essentials, great sitting area and comfortable bed! The town of Great Barrington had a lot to offer as well! The quaint main street was fun to explore and there were tons of options of dinner (the brewery was great!) Lots to do outside here too. As if enjoying the lake isn't enough, MiOwn is not far from Monument Mountain and the gorgeous Umpachene Falls. Already looking forward to my next visit!

Hiking in the Berkshites

The stay was as expected... rustic, beautiful scenery, near a nice lake. It was close enough to Stockbridge and Lenox as well as hiking experiences so the distance was not a problem. The air conditioning was broken but the owner promised to fix it for the next renter. All in all we had a nice stay. Especially since the weather is temperate.

Only 1 old towels per person for two nights,? Some Shades were broken , no curtains in bedroom. Solid place and nice fire pit area.

The listing pictures accurately display the size of the parking spaces. It also notes that the parking space will accommodate a vehicle up to 16' in length (mid-size SUV). - We have the cottage professionally cleaned in advance of each guest's arrival, generally on the day of arrival so that it is as fresh as possible for our guests. - We normally provide 2 towels in the bathroom. After reading your feedback we increased that number to 4. We try to go above and beyond for our guests and we appreciate your feedback to help us improve for our guests!

Nice to get away.

The lakefront area was scenic and peaceful. The proximity of the property to Great Barrington and Stockbridge was a surprise (we did not know the area). The owner provided materials and tips on local sights and hiking trails that we useful. The time of year we went (end of May) turned out to be somewhat buggy - causing me to use the outside fireplace to keep them at bay. Overall, a nice experience.

Rustic cottage

Property is very nice abd so are the owners. Unfortunately the weather was too cool to take advantage of the picturesque lake but maybe next time. Pay attention to the description of the driveway. Cars over 16 feet can't fit in abd the street is very narrow to park on .

Cabin in woods

Place was clean. Great communication with David.Could use some curtains in kitchen area. Baseboard heat didn’t work in living room but other did. Very private,didn’t get to use kayaks because it was November. All in was a very nice place and a good weekend getaway

Very nice area

We enjoyed the area very much. The house is not as nice as it looked online. It needs some love for sure. Rusty kitchen cabinets and mold on the ceiling over the shower. But the location couldn't be better. There is 1 parking spot which is a little tight to get into depending on how many cars are in the driveway right across. Don't bring a truck. We did enjoy our stay. View of the lake could not be better.

Small cottage

place not completely as described..no yard for dog's, fridge didnt stay cold, parking spot was tight in a square with a pole and a stone wall barley fit my jeep wrangler...only 1 good outlet in the entire cottage furniture was cold uncomfortable leather..very disappointed by being in extreme close proximity of other cottages, couldnt really see the lake other cottages in the way ..next time will be more appt to ask questions ..

We greatly appreciate your feedback, and we would like to share some insights from the homeowner: -Regarding the absence of a fenced yard, it is important to note that our property does not feature a fenced-in yard, nor do we advertise it as such. The pictures of the property accurately depict a patio with amenities such as a fire pit, BBQ grill, and patio furniture. Many previous guests have expressed their enjoyment of this patio space.-In reference to the view, we take pride in ensuring that the view is as precisely depicted in the website photos. Numerous past guests have specifically highlighted this aspect in their positive comments.-We acknowledge that the parking space may be considered limited in size. Our website description explicitly states that the parking spot is suitable for vehicles up to sixteen feet in length, designed to accommodate mid-size SUVs.-Concerning the electrical outlets, the cottage is equipped with numerous outlets, and we have not received any prior reports of outlet malfunctions, either before or after your visit. It is possible that a breaker may have tripped, but we have not been notified of any such issue.-The refrigerator's cooling performance has not been a subject of complaint from previous guests. To the best of our knowledge, all appliances are in good working condition.
