There is a large screened porch with a Hammock. There is a BBQ pit, a picnic table and chairs by the river. There is a Keurig coffee maker,washer/drier and all appliances. This property offers privacy with lots of wildlife and room to hike and explore. Great Bird Watching!!

Family weekend

Wonderful Easter

Our family stayed over Easter weekend. The property was clean and well stocked. A short walk to the river made for fun fishing and paddle boarding

Perfect getaway

Everything surpassed our expectations. little trail to the river. 5 mins to Schneider park for a large River experience. Welcome gift was very nice and a lovely touch. Highly recommend!

The River House never fails to please. Fun swimming, tubing and searching for critters in the river and a great screened in porch to watch hummingbirds! Casual, comfortable furnishings for a river house. Hope we can come back.

Cute and relaxing river house

This house was well stocked and is cutely decorated. We loved the location on a private stretch of the river. Although the water level was low, there was enough a flow that we could wade in a bit and hang out by the water. We also went over to the city park right up the road where we could swim in deeper water and float in a tube. It was a great stay and I hope to rent this house again next year!

The River House is Worth It!

The River House was great! It was clean and cozy, and there was plenty to do in Kerrville for the kids. There was even a tiny little fire pit on the property, which was nice for roasting some s’mores. My only complaint is that the property has a section that does border the river, but it’s about 150-200 feet away from the house and you have to get to by going under a little sketchy bridge.

Perfect!

I’ve stayed at The River House twice in 2020 and it never disappoints!!! What a treat! Between the privacy, river set up, and relaxing porch, we love staying here! The only downside to the entire place is that mattresses but it’s not enough to keep us away. We look forward to staying here again in the future!!

Wonderful

Great property, with excellent river access! Perfect for our family vacation! We enjoyed our stay very much, and would recommend The River House!!! My only suggestion would be to bring your own pans if you are cooking for a large family. There were only 2 small pans.... other than that I would say it was pretty much perfect.

Perfect!

This house and property was perfect for what we were looking for. Quiet and secluded. The house had everything we needed for cooking inside and out. Loved that tubes were provided also for the water. We saw all kinds of wild life but my favorite was all the birds and the mama turkey with her 6 babies. The fishing was great also! My kiddos loved the giant checkers! It was also nice to walk in to a welcome bag, thank you! I loved all the pictures inside and the family feel. I would love to know a little history on the house. Wonderful place to stay and we hope to be back. Thank you!

Great property

Love the River House! This is our 6th time to stay here and we always hate to leave. There is great access to the river. We can take the grandkids on little "hikes" and explore the property behind the house. The screened in porch is lovely place to watch hummingbirds, birds and just relax. Hope we get to visit here again.

Repeat Visit!

My family spent Easter 2022 at the River House and enjoyed it just as much as our first trip Fall of 2020. The house is well stocked and the river access is perfection. We enjoyed swimming and fishing every day. The location of the house makes it easy to enjoy the area…Alstadt Brewery, Jenschke Farms for strawberry picking, Comfort Pizza and Camp Verde General Store. We’ll be back again!

This river property is AMAZING! We loved everything about it!

The property is beautiful. It's a little bit of a walk down to the river but so worth it! The house was immaculate and the perfect size for 3 adults and one 3 year old. The owners were very responsive and friendly. I will definitely stay at this property the next time I'm in the Kerrville area.

Wonderful stay at this lovely house.

WE we were a bit surprised that you can’t see the River from the house but it’s just a very short walk (or drive) to get to the beautiful shady river front private swimming area and kayak put in spot. The owners were very responsive and the house felt very homey. They left a sweet gift for us and everything was just wonderful. The screened in porch was amazing and the whole house was very clean and lots of little extra things included. We had a wonderful time!

4th of july

This great was a find. when I rented this property I thought that it was riverfront from what I saw on the website. It was not. But this was the next best thing. I think you need to let people know it is not handicap accessible just for that reason. With that being said I loved this place. It was secluded it was like walking into your house. The front porch was great. I could not have been happier. Thanks for sharing your home with us. Will definitely rent again.

Sisterhood weekend getaway

Great place, very clean, and fully supplied. However it is a fisherman’s and hunters getaway place. But still clean and great. Riverside was awesome and love it being so quiet. The tubers pictured online was deceiving. That is really at Schreiner park. I must say though our riverside was totally awesome. Thank you for helping our memories come along.

Great weekend getaway!

The home was cozy, spacious and very well-stocked. We enjoyed listening to the passing storms while sitting on screened porch and we loved the set up down by the river. The sounds of the river made for a relaxing and soothing experience. We'll definitely be back!
