Alex has been drawn to the ocean since childhood. He learned to sail at age 6, raced across the Atlantic as a teenager, and has since logged more than 260,000 miles and 15 ocean crossings on a variety of vessels. After 12 years running a 140-foot topsail schooner on private charters around Lunenburg, he developed a deep knowledge of sailing, the Caribbean islands, and the hidden gems that make each journey special. For Alex, sailing is second nature, and he loves sharing the quieter, more beautiful corners of the sea with his guests.
Carla brings warmth, creativity, and a true passion for food to every charter. Her cooking blends the comfort of Italian home-style dishes, the elegance of French dining, and the vibrant flavors of Thai cuisine, all prepared with fresh local ingredients and a thoughtful touch. Trained at Ashburton Culinary College in London, she has also worked on superyachts in Europe, serving guests from all walks of life. Carla continues to expand her culinary skills with specialist training in vegan, Indian, and kosher cuisine, always creating meals that feel both nourishing and indulgent.
Together, Alex and Carla offer more than a charter — they create a relaxed, welcoming experience where guests can feel at home while enjoying the beauty of the British Virgin Islands.
