Casa Miguel, luxury adobe view home, in the beautiful Los Altos community of Taos, New Mexico is located on Taos Ski Valley Road. This Taos vacation rental home is beautifully furnished with a mix of local and imported hand crafted southwest furniture. The living room has magnificent views of Taos mountain and an inviting romantic central kiva fireplace.

For those who love to cook the kitchen is furnished with new top of the line appliances. With some of the best views any table in Taos has, you can look out the windows and marvel at the mountains while enjoying your meals from the dinning room table. If you're looking to enjoy the unprecedented starry sky night time views there is a lovely patio with fire pit to keep you warm while you're gazing up at the sky. This 4 bedroom and 3 bathroom upscale home, sleeps 8 people. The master bedroom, situated on the opposite side of the house from the other 3 bedrooms make it an extremely private getaway. The master bathroom features a large bathtub with great views of Taos mountain.

Amenities include a well equipped gourmet kitchen, DVD, CD player, satellite TV, washer and dryer. A patio with a gas grill, 6 person Hot Tub and exquisite mountain views.

Perfect!

The home was wonderful! Absolutely stunning views from the backyard. In a perfect location. It had everything we needed and was nicely decorated. The hot tub was wonderful at night. We will be back!

Reviewer Comments: This home is A Wonderful Retreat for Families Our family recently had the pleasure of staying at Casa Miguel, and we absolutely loved our experience. The home was the perfect size for our group of six adults and two children, offering just the right amount of space for everyone to feel comfortable and relaxed.One of the highlights for the kids was the great selection of books and games provided. It kept them entertained for hours, allowing the adults to unwind and enjoy our time together. The property backs up to open land where you can easily see the mountains. We watched elk and deer wandering through the backyard at sunset which had the kids convinced that Santa's reindeer were hanging out with us :)The kitchen, while on the smaller side, was impressively equipped with top-notch appliances and quality cookware. This made preparing meals together both easy and enjoyable and we never felt limited by the space.We especially loved the living room. Though it didn’t have a TV, it was filled with plenty of comfortable couches where we gathered every evening with cocktails for great conversation and laughter. It was the perfect atmosphere for family bonding, free from distractions.Overall, Casa Miguel provided everything we needed for a memorable family getaway. We are already looking forward to our next visit and would highly recommend it to any family seeking a cozy, well-appointed retreat surrounded by nature.

It was listed as 2 king suites, one king bed mattress needs replacing badly, second bedroom was only a queen or double! One bathroom toilet got stopped up numerous times. Queen bathroom faucet ran very slow and lifted completely up. When we arrived no outside furniture and no wood. For the amount of money we paid too many things wrongand needed fixing!wrong! Nice, Roomy and Comfortable

After paying for the one I chose the manager called me with another rental for us bc the one I wanted wasn’t available now. But it worked out ok, he made sure we had a comparable place to stay for our vacation. There were a few minor issues that were quickly solved by the caretaker who always answered quickly when I called or messaged her. The scenery is beautiful from the back of the house. The furniture is very well used but I comfortable. If you don’t know how to use a high end coffee maker I’d suggest taking your own!! All in all it was a nice place to stay.

Plumbing Nightmare

The biggest problem was that the septic system backed up on to the floor of 2 of the bathrooms and the laundry room on our 2nd day there. The smell was awful. It was corrected quickly. However, the hot water faucet in the vanity sink in the master bedroom was inoperable and thus no hot water, only cold. The shower head was so calcified it sprayed water in all directions. The icemaker and water dispenser in the refrigerator in the kitchen were inoperable.

The internet availability throughout the property was sporadic, water pressure was lacking , their is only one small TV in a den which really doesn't accommodate more than two watchers. The outdoor furniture needs a serious update as they are weathered and frail.

Casa Miguel : A Really Great House and Fantastic Location

Our family of 8 adults spent from July 7-14 at Casa Miguel . The house was plenty spacious and conveniently located for us. We took several trips nearby, among them Bandelier Monument , Los Alamos, Taos, and the Enchanted Circle Drive. Our 3 grandchildren hiked lots of trails in the area. We were very pleased with our 7 day stay in Casa Miguel and recommend it highly.

The house decor is so artsy, with many interesting items throughout. It was very relaxing to come “home” to a hot tub and lots of space in the house after each day trip. The location is great for mountain hikes, river gorge access, and Taos, and we really liked the restaurants, shops, and live music in Arroyo Seco only 5 minutes away.

There were 6 of us staying and working remotely with plenty of room and privacy. Collectively all of the guests agreed the mattresses could use an upgrade as they aren't very comfortable. The water pressure was a weak as well. While that isn't an easy fix, changing the shower heads could work wonders. Those were our only issues, otherwise, the stay was quite lovely.

The house was furnished beautifully. We enjoyed cooking meals there, and sitting and taking in the beautiful Mountain View’s. Opening the windows to allow the cool mountain air throughout the house felt great. The yard has beautiful trees (aspens are my favorite), a variety of flowering plants and shrubs to add to the beauty of this Adobe home. Overall we loved every minute of our time at Casa Miguel.

The kitchen could have been cleaner & numerous light bulbs were out around the house. The housekeeper came to get the heating fixed, but there were no other problems. We enjoyed our stay !! This house is actually in Arroyo Seco, not Taos. Directions could have been better. We would recommend this house for someone looking for quiet & relaxation. Several good restaurants in Arroyo Seco & Taos !!

The landscaping is outstanding and provides all around shade for the adobe home. Inside, no detail is spared. You know immediately that each piece of furniture, art work, linens etc. were handpicked. Whether outside enjoying the fantastic view or inside chilling in the master bedroom with a good book, every minute was enjoyable. The home is well stocked with the necessities and very clean and cozy. The only disappointments was no TV in the gathering area and intermittent smart phone and wi-fi connectivity. The beauty of the home and surrounding areas (Taos, Arroyo Seco, Sante Fe, make it easy to put electronics away and just enjoy. We will be back for sure.

House located halfway between Taos Ski mountain and downtown Taos, while three skied the other three explored the surrounding area. Bedrooms are separate corners of the house. Abundance of early morning sunshine after the sun comes up over the mountains to the East. Enjoyed out stay and recommend for others.

The ski resort was about 20 minutes away. You could ride the chairlift up to the top and walk around. There was still snow up there too. The town of Taos was close to go shopping or have lunch or dinner. The people are very friendly as well.
