Hello! My name is Rose, and together with my husband William, I’m so excited to welcome you to Bear Necessities here in Bentonville, Arkansas.

We’ve been happily married for 43 years and have called Arkansas home for more than 30 of them. I was born and raised in Missouri, but Arkansas quickly stole my heart with its trails, culture, and wonderful people. Over the years, William and I have built a life here full of family, faith, laughter, and love. We raised our three daughters here, and now, opening our home to travelers feels like a natural extension of our love for people and the community.

Why We Host

For as long as I can remember, our house has always been the “gathering place.” Friends, neighbors, and family would stop by, knowing they could count on a warm meal, a friendly conversation, or simply a safe and welcoming space. When we decided to open Bear Necessities, it wasn’t about business—it was about sharing that same spirit of hospitality with guests from all over the world.

We believe staying in a home should be more than just a bed for the night. It should be a place to rest, reconnect, and make memories.

Situated just a short drive from downtown Bentonville, guests have easy access to world-class attractions like Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, The Momentary, 21c Museum Hotel, and countless restaurants, breweries, and coffee shops.
